LATEST NEWS

A BuzzFeed News report on Tuesday found that presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's campaign has circulated talking points when it comes to Tara Reade. She accused him of sexual assault in 1993. The talking points used information from a New York Times investigation, but the publication said the campaign is "inaccurately" describing the information.

Tara Reade blasted failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton over her endorsement of presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden:
"I voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. I voted for her in the primary. I'm a lifelong Democrat. But yet, what I see now is someone enabling a sexual predator and it was my former boss, Joe Biden, who raped me," Reade told Fox News. "Hillary Clinton has a history of enabling powerful men to cover up their sexual predatory behaviors and their inappropriate sexual misconduct. We don't need that for this country. We don't need that for our new generation coming up that wants institutional rape culture to change."

Tara Reade, the woman who accused  2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden of sexual assault, ordered him to release his personnel records from his time in the Senate:
“Joe Biden, I want you to release all the personnel records from 1973 to 2009 and be transparent about your office practices,” Reade told the DCNF. “I would like to hold you accountable for what happened to me, to how your staff protected you and enabled you, bullied me multiple times into silence.”

On Tuesday night, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio oversaw the police breaking up a Hasidic funeral for a rabbi who died of the Wuhan coronavirus. De Blasio lashed out at the Jewish community (but made sure to also say "all communities" to probably try to save his butt) in a tweet, which has set off anger and condemnation from all fronts.

European governments are moving towards the easing of Wuhan coronavirus lockdowns, media reports suggest. Many European countries, including Germany, France, Spain, and Italy, have begun working on their respective "exit plans" to restore normalcy as the spread of coronavirus in their countries slows down.

While the Wuhan coronavirus is a real problem, our often one-size-fits-all response appears to be creating still more problems, particularly in terms of our nation's health care system.  Cancer screenings and surgeries, most diagnostic screenings unrelated to the coronavirus, and many necessary quality of life surgeries have been canceled or postponed indefinitely to keep hospitals free to handle a massive influx of coronavirus patients. An influx that in most parts of the country hasn't happened. The resultant loss of medical professionals' jobs, loss of revenue to hospitals, and potential loss of patient life (or quality of life) are creating a whole new healthcare crisis across the country.

President Donald Trump's comments at a recent Coronavirus Task Force briefing led to distorted press reports implying that he proposed drinking bleach and Lysol to fight coronavirus. However, his remarks have led others to explore another technology he mentioned: Ultraviolet Light Treatment.

A Brooklyn man who describes himself as a "progressive, socialist, bicyclist, feminist, environmentalist, globalist, he/him" and native New Yorker on his Twitter page caught New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYC First Lady Chirlane McCray out for a walk on Saturday in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. The man, who goes by @brooklyn_darren on Twitter, didn't take issue with the fact they were out for a walk on a sunny day. The problem, he stated, was that they were 12 miles away from their Gracie Mansion home, which is already in the middle of a park.

It's safe to assume Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) is on the shortlist of possible running mates for Joe Biden. Harris has made it clear that she supports Biden's candidacy now that he is the presumptive nominee. Back in 2019, however, she was saying something very different.

Three videos with "unidentified aerial phenomena" have made their way around the internet for years after someone leaked them in 2007 and 2017. The Navy authenticated the videos as Leslie blogged last year. On Monday, the Pentagon officially released these videos, almost a year after I blogged that the Pentagon still investigates claims and reports of UFOs. Because an alien invasion would be the cherry on top for 2020!
