Britain's Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Saturday accused the European Union of threatening a food blockade of the country if it failed to agree to the 'divorce' terms imposed by Brussels. "We are now hearing that, unless we agree to the EU's terms, the EU will use an extreme interpretation of the Northern Ireland protocol to impose a full-scale trade border down the Irish Sea," the British prime minister wrote in an op-ed for the Daily Telegraph.

Weeks after the United Arab Emirates agreed to a peace deal with Israel, Bahrain has joined the fellow Arab Gulf state in normalize diplomatic relations with the Jewish State, a statement released by the White House on Friday said. "This is a historic breakthrough to further peace in the Middle East. Opening direct dialogue and ties between these two dynamic societies and advanced economies will continue the positive transformation of the Middle East and increase stability, security, and prosperity in the region," the joint statement issued by Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Donald Trump said.

The Balkan nations moving diplomatic missions to the Holy City is an act of "unjust aggression against the Palestinian people,” the Palestinian Authority said in an official statement.

Serbia and Kosovo have agreed to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties with Israel, the White House announced in a statement on Friday. Both countries, part of the former Yugoslavia, will relocate their embassies to Jerusalem, news reports said. The move will make Kosovo the first Muslim-majority country to open a diplomatic mission in the Holy City, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Friday.

French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo has reprinted the Mohammed cartoons as the trials for the 2015 Islamic terror attack begins at a Paris court this week. "We will never lie down. We will never give up," magazine's editor Laurent "Riss" Sourisseau wrote in its latest edition.

The Palestinians are "deeply pained" to witness the flight carrying the first official Israeli delegation to the United Arab Emirates following the last month's historic peace agreement brokered by President Donald Trump, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh said. "It pains us to see an Israeli plane land in the United Arab Emirates," he complained, as the first-ever commercial flight from Israel to the UAE landed at the Abu Dhabi airport on Monday.

The war of terror against Israel could be entering a new phase as Gaza-based terrorist groups prepare for a joint campaign against the Jewish state, news reports from the region suggest. "The military wings of terror organizations in the Gaza Strip are preparing for a long-term joint campaign against Israel," the Times of Israel reported citing pro-Hezbollah Lebenase newspaper Al-Akhbar.

Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling has returned a Kennedy family award following criticism for her alleged 'transphobic' views. The author, who received the 2019 Ripple of Hope award by the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights (RFKHR) organisation for her work with a UK children's charity, was attacked by the media and activists for her 'anti-trans' comments where she dared to make a distinction between biological women and transgender.

"Keeping our schools closed a moment longer than absolutely necessary is socially intolerable, economically unsustainable and morally indefensible," Boris Johnson said.

After allowing weeks of 'anti-racism' protests in line with the U.S. Black Lives Matter movement, German government is considering a ban on traditional carnival festivities. Country's "Health Minister Jens Spahn wants to cancel the carnival season for 2020-21 in light of the coronavirus pandemic," German newspaper Südwest Presse reported Tuesday.

France has deployed riot police in the country's second biggest city Marseille to enforce face mask rules aimed at quelling the spread of Wuhan coronavirus. "Government spokesperson Gabriel Attal announced on Monday that 130 police officers are being sent to Marseille, a coastal city in south-eastern France," French TV channel EuroNews reported.
