Tlaib also thinks Muslim women in Congress do not get the benefit of the doubt. Someone tell her you lose that after numerous anti-Semitic comments.

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Squad buddy Rep. Rashida Tlaib decided to pipe up and spew her usual nonsense after colleagues condemned Omar’s Israel and U.S. comments.

“Freedom of speech doesn’t exist for Muslim women in Congress,” moaned Tlaib. “The benefit of the doubt doesn’t exist for Muslim women in Congress. House Democratic leadership should be ashamed of its relentless, exclusive tone policing of Congresswomen of color.”

Lady, you lose your benefit of the doubt after you vomit anti-Semitism comment after anti-Semitism comment.

You want people to take you seriously? Stop hiding behind your race and religion. It has nothing to do with either one. It has everything to do with Omar’s history of anti-Semitism.

She’s lucky to live in America.

Tlaib has a history of interrupting others’ freedom of speech and, well, speaking up a lot!

One bug the revised site picked up: one can’t give up-ticks to remarks having block quotes.

        Yes, overlapping control fields.

Reported a while back but never fixed or is an unfixable problem. I simply don’t use the “blockquote” tag any longer for quotes but use the “italics” tag instead to highlight quotes. That still allows up/down-ticks while setting off quotes.

Both her first two sentences were two words too long.

Of course freedom of speech exists. It’s just that idiocy has consequences.

You’re right so I gave you one to cover for it.

She has a tenuous grasp of everything.

If her message falls on deaf ears did she really send it? Or put another way, If Tlaib calls out in the woods and no one hears her, did it really happen? That’s the best I can come up with besides falling back on “Democrats are disingenuous liars and manipulators extraordinaire.”

Then, she should shut up and know her place.

Funny, it appears she is no the one banned from Twitter. But it seems Twitter ban a politician. Who was that, again? The name slips my mind.

Freedom of speech doesn’t exist for Muslim women in congress.

Translation: I can criticize others but I don’t like it when they criticize me

I cannot believe that a Congressperson has such a weak grasp of constitutional principles. Muslim women congressional representatives can say what they want. They have that freedom. What they don’t get to do is stop others from criticizing them when they say something controversial. It is not just Muslim women congressional representatives that have the right of free speech. The rest of us do as well. I am astonished that she doesn’t understand that.

“What they don’t get to do is stop others from criticizing them when they say something controversial.”

They do if they are a fascist and gain power, then, yes, they do indeed.

such a weak grasp of constitutional principles
Why are you assuming this? I think she understands it just fine, but doesn’t care because she wants to tear down the US and make her own little progressive utopian technocracy.

healthguyfsu in reply to chaswjd. | June 10, 2021 at 8:39 pm

She doesn’t understand that but I am not astonished in the least.

Your can speak all you want, b!tch. I don’t have to listen.

What a poisonous maggot.

Are we finding out what the minimum IQ it takes to be a congress critter?

Alex says at the end of round two, Hank Johnson is still in last place..

Yes, when I think of all of Tlaib’s people who have been hounded and persecuted for thousands of years, scattered from their homeland all over the globe, and executed in the tens of millions, it’s clear that *Muslims* are the victims. Yeesh.

randian in reply to UJ. | June 10, 2021 at 7:48 pm

Muslims are always the victims. Islamic doctrine says murder to spread Islam is defensive warfare.

More posturing as a victim. I was informed that the ‘squad’ was composed of fierce women. Yet every time they receive pushback they retreat to the fainting couch.

Ladies, you are welcome to express your opinions. We are free to embrace them, ignore them or criticize them. Your right to speak doesn’t preclude any else from speaking, even in harsh or impolite ways in response.

Has she been banned by Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc etc??

It’s hilarious watching somebody who doesn’t believe in freedom of speech complain about not having it (whether true or not).

Yet she votes for whatever those same semites bring to the floor

Funny how she doesn’t mention all the Muslims, male and female, in the Mid East who do not enjoy freedom of speech.

Ugly woman. Ugly mind.

Posting a picture of that vile creature, without a mask, violates the norms of decency. Shame. Shame. And double shame.

How does a person with that many followers claim to have been silenced?

FortesFortunaJuvat | June 11, 2021 at 1:46 am

Everyone has the right to free speech. Even in Congress. Even lying, anti-Semitic, anti-American, terrorist supporters.

Freedom of speech also includes the right to express disagreement. Also, she should be willing to accept the consequences of spewing hate and lies. There is no freedom from consequences.

“Freedom of speech doesn’t exist for Muslim women in Congress,”

What is she complaining about?

Has she been forced to convert?

Has she been beheaded for her beliefs?

This is yet another redefinition.

Instead of freedom of speech meaning you are allowed to speak, and you are permitted in the public square and so permitted to actually reach an audience the congressman is suggesting freedom of speech includes not being criticized, or called out for lies etc.
