Now Adbusters has a new project, a 50-day ‘siege’ of the White House in the run up to the November 3 election.
September 17 is significant, because that was the date in 2011 that the occupation of Zuccotti Park started.

I wonder if the case could be made that this is an independent expenditure (if they spend > $1000 on it as an organization), or a contribution, by a foreign entity or person? That would be against the Federal Campaign Finance Law.
If they want to claim they are legally in the US, there is no “adbusters” registered as a Federal Committee (PAC). If they spend > $1000 to attack a Federal Candidate, they must register within some period of time (30 days?). They’ll need that just for the porta-potties.

It’s certainly not a contribution, because it’s not being given to anyone. Any money they spend on this is an independent expenditure, which has the maximum protection of the first and fourteenth amendment. Any law interfering with the right of a person in the USA to communicate his opinions to US voters, and to urge them to vote as he thinks they ought, would be automatically invalid.
I doubt that any country has laws against interfering in other countries’ elections. We certainly don’t, and can’t, because the first amendment prohibits such laws.
(The only reason it doesn’t prohibit laws against foreigners who are in foreign countries interfering in our elections is because it doesn’t protect their rights at all. The moment a foreigner sets foot in the USA, legally or illegally, the constitution protects all their rights, including their right to interfere in our elections.)

As long as it remains non-violent, Trump will look quite the moderate if he does nothing. That’s more of a pain in the rear end to anyone who is actually physically showing up for work at the office buildings in that area, any businesses, including restaurants, that are open in the area (especially when it comes to use of their bathrooms), and people driving in the area.
Be generous. Set up portapotties and service them weekly. No showers, just the essentials. Offload a pallet of MRE’s. When they complain, tell them they have the essentials of input/output and the luxuries are their responsibility. We’ll see how long they last.

Those who incite and/or fund riots/looting/arson (George Soros) need to be arrested for being an accomplice and/or sedition. They need to account and pay for the damage they create including costs created by obfuscation. Rioters and looters/arsonists should be placed on notice that they can/will be shot! Likewise any rioter/looter/arsonist arrested who lives outside of the immediate area does not have a “dog in the fight” and deserves an additional citation for being a paid rioter/looter and face felony charges. It is a federal crime to cross state lines or to use interstate facilities to incite or participate in violent rioting. Those rioters/arsonists arrested need to have a criminal/outstanding warrant background check, students need to be expelled, and all face loss of any government subsistence. Unmasking and disarming protestors of weapons should be enforced and Mayors, governors, government officials allowing out of control riots or preventing the police from doing their jobs should be arrested and held accountable. They are not racial justice protests they are anti-American riots. Protests don’t involve arson, assault, or property damage.
I hate the probable fact that the real issue is we have a segment of our society that feels destroying other people’s lives when they face adversity is justified.
