Group behind ‘Occupy Wall Street’ planning 50-day ‘White House Siege’ through Election Day

Group behind ‘Occupy Wall Street’ planning 50-day ‘White House Siege’ through Election Day

“It’s time again for dramatic, decisive action. Which is why, on September 17th, in the original and enduring spirit of Occupy, we and tens of thousands of our fellow citizens will stream into Lafayette Square, in Washington. D.C.”

Adbusters was the group credited with creating the Occupy Wall Street movement that ‘occupied’ not only Zuccotti Park in downtown Manhattan, but much of our news coverage in 2011.

Here’s a small sampling of our coverage:

Occupy Wall Street never went away in spirit. In many ways, it set the stage for and is the inspiration of the current Anifa anarchist movement.

Now Adbusters has a new project, a 50-day ‘siege’ of the White House in the run up to the November 3 election.

https://twitter.com/Adbusters/status/1288193793267625984

September 17 is significant, because that was the date in 2011 that the occupation of Zuccotti Park started.

Adbusters writes at its website:

All right, all you activists:

It’s been nine years since we set off the political earthquake of #OccupyWallStreet, laying siege to NYC’s Zuccotti Park and inspiring thousands of similar protests around the world.

The Occupy anniversary arrives September 17th, 2020. And it may be the perfect day to trigger another global big-bang moment — a massive collective action of the sweetest kind of disobedience.

The why hardly needs recitation. Because, for these nine years, the shadows have only grown longer. Inequality has soared. Not a single Wall Street CEO spent a night in jail for his role in the 2008 financial meltdown. Politicians and corporate criminals continue to savage the public trust with impunity. And all the while, this howling void of a president, his sins too many to name, sits smugly atop a corona death-toll that may surpass two-hundred thousand Americans by Christmas.

It’s time again for dramatic, decisive action. Which is why, on September 17th, in the original and enduring spirit of Occupy, we and tens of thousands of our fellow citizens will stream into Lafayette Square, in Washington. D.C.

We will lay siege to the White House. And we will sustain it for exactly fifty days. This is the #WhiteHouseSiege.

A siege only works if it is sustained. We witnessed this — the multiplying power of a strategic occupation — nine years ago. You dig in, hold your ground, and the tension accumulates, amplifies, goes global.

It’s hard to know just how likely this is to happen. If it happens, the person currently ‘occupying’ the White House will be happy with the optics.

Wouldn’t it be funny if a bunch of citizens, fed up with this Marxist / anarchist nonsense, rolled in there and beat the living shit out of these morons? And then kept beating the living shit out of them every time they showed their America-hating faces, until they finally got the message and skulked back under their rocks, forever more?

It would much more fun to have some lawyer find a way to sue the backers of these idiots for damages. Imagine soros and his ilk having to pay the bill from minneapolis that they’ve tried to foist off on America for the rebuilding of antifa’s destruction.
Kind of like what happened to the klan. Take their money and make their lives even more miserable than they already are.

Elected city officials must establish a minimum
start up fee to protect protesters and citizens to be paid BEFORE the protestor members to cover cost of any damages. Start at one hundred million dollars.

Regrettably, that’s when the DC cops would appear. They’d have no compunction taking down those opposing the Commies.

Any action to invade the White House would verify another attempt to stage a coup. Do these yo-yos understand that such an attempt would further polarize the nation and any injury to the First Family could spawn more than political retribution nationwide to Dem politicians? The problem with these groups is that the DNC can lose control so quickly that any narrative is lost. It shows how desperate the Left is and how fearful they really are about losing this election. Forget the poles, if they felt that they had it in the bag none of this would be even considered.

Another Soros – Steyer production?

Is this why Trump said that we won’t see him for a while? I wouldn’t blame him. After all, Biden has been in a bunker for months.

once they’re settled in, I’d chopper over and dust the area with chiggers, lice, and fleas nightly

DSHornet in reply to paracelsus. | August 10, 2020 at 12:12 am

I was thinking more along the lines of tossing a polecat into a bag and throwing it into the middle of the crowd. When they open the bag out of curiosity, Pepe Le Pew jumps out and sprays the crowd. Should be fun to watch, especially on a warm, humid night with no breeze to dissipate the cloud.

Something like that actually happened recently in Hallettsville, Texas. Vegans from the People’s Republic of Austin descended on the town and protested outside a meat packing plant. A local tossed a live feral pig among the protestors, who quickly scattered.

If you’ve never spent time here, you’re unlikely to grok just how deeply the anti-Americanism goes in our culture and our politics. Even if there are such laws – and I doubt it – they’ll simply be ignored because the target is Americans.

bhwms in reply to dbilar. | August 10, 2020 at 5:45 pm

I wonder if the case could be made that this is an independent expenditure (if they spend > $1000 on it as an organization), or a contribution, by a foreign entity or person? That would be against the Federal Campaign Finance Law.

If they want to claim they are legally in the US, there is no “adbusters” registered as a Federal Committee (PAC). If they spend > $1000 to attack a Federal Candidate, they must register within some period of time (30 days?). They’ll need that just for the porta-potties.

    52 USC §30101:
    (9)(A) The term ‘‘expenditure’’ includes—
    (i) any purchase, payment, distribution,
loan, advance, deposit, or gift of money or
anything of value, made by any person for the
purpose of influencing any election for Federal
    office;

    Yes? No?

Leftists are allowed to just poop on the Mall.

Milhouse in reply to bhwms. | August 10, 2020 at 10:39 pm

It’s certainly not a contribution, because it’s not being given to anyone. Any money they spend on this is an independent expenditure, which has the maximum protection of the first and fourteenth amendment. Any law interfering with the right of a person in the USA to communicate his opinions to US voters, and to urge them to vote as he thinks they ought, would be automatically invalid.

Milhouse in reply to dbilar. | August 10, 2020 at 10:25 pm

I doubt that any country has laws against interfering in other countries’ elections. We certainly don’t, and can’t, because the first amendment prohibits such laws.

(The only reason it doesn’t prohibit laws against foreigners who are in foreign countries interfering in our elections is because it doesn’t protect their rights at all. The moment a foreigner sets foot in the USA, legally or illegally, the constitution protects all their rights, including their right to interfere in our elections.)

    henrybowman in reply to TheFineReport.com. | August 10, 2020 at 8:43 pm

I suspect this is Nancy Pelosi’s pied-a-terre where she never goes, that makes her legal in her own district. Her real house is an estate with walls, guards, huge lawns, and concertina wire.

Milhouse in reply to henrybowman. | August 10, 2020 at 10:47 pm

There is no legal requirement that she live in her district. There can’t be; neither California nor Congress has the authority to make such a law.

Are you for real? While you’re partly correct–congress *seemingly* [see below] lacks the authority to require that congresswhores live in the district they claim to “represent”–many states not only can but DO require that.
        ..
BTW, while you claim congress lacks authority to dictate what requirements states can impose on their congresswhores, the G-D Supreme Court ruled that states do NOT have the power to impose term limits on their own reps. So “the law”–as imposed by the judges–is schizoid: the feds can’t impose one rule on states, but CAN slap down any state that imposes term limits. Hmmmm….

          Milhouse in reply to sf44. | August 11, 2020 at 3:06 pm

No state has such a requirement, because it can’t impose one.

And there is nothing “schizoid” here. The Supreme Court has been very very clear about this, and there is no dispute. The constitution lays out the qualifications for congressmen, and nobody can add to them. Not Congress and not any state. Therefore any law Congress or a state makes that purports to do so is void and “slapped down”. That applies to term limits, residency requirements, requirements to support or oppose certain legislation, or anything else. Where are you seeing any kind of inconsistency there?

This was predicted back in early June: ” don’t be surprised if ‘Occupy’ is pulled out of storage (perhaps rebranded under a new name).”

Here: “We’re Being Played: BLM ‘Good Cop’ vs. Antifa ‘Bad Cop'” https://www.trevorloudon.com/2020/06/were-being-played-blm-good-cop-vs-antifa-bad-cop/

As long as it remains non-violent, Trump will look quite the moderate if he does nothing. As soon as it get violent, if he kicks their asses out of town and makes large-scale arrests, then he will look law-and-order. Quite possibly he will be given an opportunity to play both parts. This has win-win written all over it.

doubt you could throw a baseball through dc without hitting a piece of federal property–beyond the jurisdiction of the local pd–ultimately the responsibility of the secret service and dhs–catalogue/identify/print every single one of these little “Occupy” slugs and prosecute them all

an opportunity to collect a host of the little bastards and put them away

Might be interesting for vets and others from all states to show up to escort them out of DC.

henrybowman in reply to ScottTheEngineer. | August 10, 2020 at 8:52 pm

    “CNN will run this 24/7.”

They may be surprised at the reception… like the producers of Independence Day were at the spontaneous, riotous applause that broke out in nearly every theatre when the alien UFOs slagged Congress and the White House (and Clinton was the president then).

If that happens I think most voters will only wonder why it wasn’t done earlier.

do they have to do a 14 day quarantine first?

The White House needs to issue a very short statement.

Protesters will be protected.
Rioters, looters, and arsonists will be arrested and prosecuted.

Laying “siege” to the White House by parking themselves in Lafayette Square?

That’s more of a pain in the rear end to anyone who is actually physically showing up for work at the office buildings in that area, any businesses, including restaurants, that are open in the area (especially when it comes to use of their bathrooms), and people driving in the area.

Where do we get the fleas, lice, and chiggers? Does Amazon have them?

Have fun kids

And Trump moves to Florida until Election Day.

It must be easy to protest when one doesn’t need to BE AT WORK EVERYDAY.

And Trump orders the US Park Police to keep them out.

Protests work poorly in heavy rain. So install farm irrigation sprinklers around the perimeter of the White House fence and keep everything within 200 feet of the fence doused with water for 50 days. It won’t stop everyone, but it’ll deter the #revolution dilettantes.

Rather than any counterviolent motions, maybe this might satisfy our aims, needs, and renewed purposes as a free people.

If our ideological adversary in this instance wants 50 days laying siege to the White House, then, if that’s lawful, they’ll have it.

That said, let’s still take away their appetite to start or continue, or to reach some ugly, destructive, un-American climax to, the siege.

Fifty days represents in their view, I’m presuming, our union’s 50 states. That’s what they, our occupation-reiterating and unprincipled foes might mean, I suppose: The whole nation is in the balance our foes hang before us. Let’s remind these intending, nation-undermining siege layers of this: There are other significant views that complement, rather than signify real threat to the fate of the 50 states as a whole they’re addressing in their plans.

I have a kind of Jubilee in mind as the 50-day intended period’s end-event. It celebrates, on November 3, 2020, the day we reelect the 45th president of the United States as the 46th Commander-in-Chief and CEO, our nation’s recommitment to ordered liberty and equal justice under law.

Look at the front, on each side of the steps leading up to the entrance of the United States Supreme Court building — there are two sculptures facing the viewer: The Contemplation of Justice, on the left, and the Authority of Law, on the right. They symbolize the aforementioned two desired, intended, and unmitigated duties, among others, of our government to maintain and promote our American society to those deserving of the duties and delights of citizenship.

It thus affirms the uncompromised, unequivocal, unqualified principle that ALL AMERICAN LIVES MATTER, period. In declaring this on event of our proposed, upcoming Jubilee, there are no meaningful, semantically legitimate narrowings, cutoffs, or abridgments of this principle in our society. It is universal in its number, its scope, and its application. We are thus one out of many — not many upon many, divided and unified.

I thus propose this rough, but basic outline of our celebration, on November 3, 2020, 50 days after the initiation of Antifa’s intended Siege of the White House, on September 17, 2020, titled

50 DAYS, FROM CONSTITUTION OR CITIZENSHIP DAY TO THE JUBILEE — WE THE PEOPLE ARE ONE OUT OF MANY

Let’s seriously consider its power and efficacy in such or other modified, but nonviolent terms.

We would thus fight, as it were, again as a free and brave people for our liberty and justice, as Jefferson said during the Founding we might need to do one day.

So let’s keep the republic, as Franklin conditionally admonished a random inquirer on the day the United States Constitution was ratified and adopted by the delegates present in Philadelphia, September 17, 1787 — Constitution or Citizenship Day — not only because we can, but especially because it’s well worth the fight.

Interesting how activists “do something” is always to demand that someone else do something.

Paging Mr. Alinsky. Saul Alynski to the “If you can’t do, demand” courtesy phone.”

On Sept. 17, 1939, the USSR invaded Poland, as Stalin had agreed to do under the Nazi-Soviet pact.

Very appropriate day for this… the fusion of Communism and Naziism

My bad; make the 50 days start on 9/17, end on 11/6.

Uncle Samuel in reply to GatorGuy. | August 10, 2020 at 5:45 pm

They said that they plan to carry on their operations until after the election.

No doubt, they will try to disrupt in-person voting in multiple Democrat cities.

Those who incite and/or fund riots/looting/arson (George Soros) need to be arrested for being an accomplice and/or sedition. They need to account and pay for the damage they create including costs created by obfuscation. Rioters and looters/arsonists should be placed on notice that they can/will be shot! Likewise any rioter/looter/arsonist arrested who lives outside of the immediate area does not have a “dog in the fight” and deserves an additional citation for being a paid rioter/looter and face felony charges. It is a federal crime to cross state lines or to use interstate facilities to incite or participate in violent rioting. Those rioters/arsonists arrested need to have a criminal/outstanding warrant background check, students need to be expelled, and all face loss of any government subsistence. Unmasking and disarming protestors of weapons should be enforced and Mayors, governors, government officials allowing out of control riots or preventing the police from doing their jobs should be arrested and held accountable. They are not racial justice protests they are anti-American riots. Protests don’t involve arson, assault, or property damage.
I hate the probable fact that the real issue is we have a segment of our society that feels destroying other people’s lives when they face adversity is justified.

Barry Soetoro | August 10, 2020 at 2:56 pm

At some point a functional society must put a forceful stop to Michael King Jr-style rioting.

Target. Rich. Environment.

They’ve forgotten that there’s a huge difference between 2011 and 2020 — in 2020 they don’t have a federal and local government that are both on their side and refuse to do anything to them. The minute they break the law we should expect federal law enforcement to clear them out.
