ICE Issues Detainer for Haitian Illegal Alien Charged in Fatal Pennsylvania Trooper Crash

Massachusetts issued Michael Bon the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). He should have left America in 2025.

ICE lodged a detainer for a Haitian illegal alien after he allegedly crashed a semi-truck and killed Pennsylvania state trooper Michael Pahira, a 20-year veteran.

The crash happened on July 1. From CBS Pittsburgh:

According to investigators, Pahira was inspecting a commercial vehicle around 7 a.m. on I-81 South in Cass Township when another tractor-trailer left the roadway, crashing into him and the truck he was inspecting before catching fire. Pahira died from his injuries, police said.

Thirty-three-year-old Michael Bon of Brocton, Massachusetts, is facing charges in Pahira’s death, including homicide by vehicle, recklessly endangering another person, involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving.

According to the criminal complaint, construction workers nearby saw smoke coming from the crash and ran to help Pahira, who was pinned under the tractor-trailer.

Police said Pahira and the truck he was inspecting had been parked safely off of the roadway, meaning Bon would have had to leave the lane of travel to cause the crash.

Massachusetts issued Bon the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), blaming the federal government for its actions. From The Boston Herald:

The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) is pointing the finger at the federal government, telling the Herald in a written statement that Bon was eligible for and received a Non-Domiciled Commercial Driver’s License under federal standards at the time of his application in March 2025.

“Pennsylvania State Trooper Michael Pahira Jr.’s death is a horrific and terrible tragedy. We mourn him and our thoughts are with his loved ones and fellow troopers. This defendant should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” RMV spokesperson Amelia Aubourg told the Herald. “The Non-Domiciled Commercial Driver’s Licenses program is a federal program. This individual was ruled eligible based on the Trump administration database and allowed to drive by federal law and Trump administration policies.”

The RMV says Bon applied to renew his CDL in February 2026 and was again approved, adding that he would not have been approved if he applied for renewal next year. The Trump administration implemented a new rule on March 16 directing states not to renew or issue new non-domiciled CDLs.

“The RMV relies on the federal SAVE database to determine whether someone is eligible to work in the United States. When Bon applied for in 2025 and 2026, he was listed by the federal government as eligible,” Aubourg said.

The Boston Herald pointed out that in 2025, six state troopers in the Massachusetts State Police’s CDL Unit received a guilty verdict for “participating in a conspiracy to pass prospective drivers who had failed the test in exchange for gifts — what prosecutors say they called ‘the golden handshake.’”

The Biden administration allowed Bon to enter the United States on July 2, 2024, as a parolee. Bon applied for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) a few months later, but the administration did not grant it.

The parole was terminated in 2025, serving Bon a notice on June 13, 2025.

Bon refused to leave America.

“This Haitian illegal alien was RELEASED into our country by the Biden Administration, and the sanctuary state of Massachusetts gave him a Commercial Driver’s License,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “Now, because of these reckless policies, a Pennsylvania State Trooper is dead after a crash that was 100% preventable. Illegal aliens should not be driving trucks on America’s highways. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and the Pennsylvania State Police as they mourn this loss.”

America has seen too many crashes and deaths caused by illegal aliens with CDLs.

Notice a pattern? All under the Biden administration. Blue states issued the CDLs.

Yes, it’s true that American drivers kill people while driving trucks, too.
But, it’s valid to think that someone who broke a law to even be here is likely to further ignore various laws when doing something like driving (much less driving a big rig). Or voter registration. Or buying/selling drugs. Or any of our other laws (rape, murder, robbery…).
So, yes, Massachusetts should be held responsible for the trooper’s death, too.

Also…
Thirty-three-year-old Michael Bon of Brocton, Massachusetts
Ummm, no. He is of Haiti. He happened to illegally reside in Brocton.

More honorable and intelligent men than him will gather and argue amongst themselves whether or not he deserves mercy and the opportunity to kill yet another productive member of our society.

In all honesty, he should just be killed.

The illegal alien murderer, Bon, should change his last name to “Mal.”

    Or better yet, “Merde”‘.

Change his name to “Bon Jovi”.

Bon Jovi was a vocal and active Biden supporter (during the time Bon the Truck Driver came into the country). Bon Jovi praised Biden’s character, performed at drive-in rallys, and headlined the “I Will Vote” concert for Democrats.

Biden, in turn, called Bon Jovi a personal friend and a “national treasure”.

If you ever have the occasion to visit Brockton Massachusetts please reconsider. It is an absolute 💩 🕳️ and a dangerous one at that.

The fallout from the criminal Biden administration continues. If you voted for Joe, take a moment to wash your hands. There’s the trooper’s blood all over them.

And special contempt for the governor of Massachusetts, one Maura Healy, she of the many checked grievance boxes who goes out of her way to step all over the hardworking citizens of the state to grandstand on behalf of her woke causes. She is an awful person.

The Massachusetts State Police is an embarrassment, a thoroughly corrupt and incompetent bunch of bullies drunk on power. From the CDL license scandal to the Karen Reid fiasco, the entire agency should be eliminated.

Rest in peace, Trooper Pahira. You deserved much better.

So I wonder. Could Pahira’s family file a civil wrongful death lawsuit against the state of Pennsylvania and more specifically the Pennsylvania Registry of Motor Vehicles for negligently issuing Bon a Commercial Drivers License (Non-Domiciled, Limited Term) to an illegal alien with an active deportation order? I mean, it’s worth a try. Nail ’em for millions and perhaps they’ll take more care in who they issue CDLs to. Or not as the case may be.

. . . Bon was eligible for and received a Non-Domiciled Commercial Driver’s License under federal standards at the time of his application in March 2025.

The RMV says Bon applied to renew his CDL in February 2026 and was again approved . . .

Excuse me if I’m confused here but the picture of Bon’s CDL clearly shows that it was issued 06/11/2025 and has an expiration date of 07/01/2026 and the RMV is claiming he applied to “renew his CDL” fully five months before his current CDL (non-domiciled, limited term) expired and was approved for a new CDL. And if the February 2026 renewal request was approved wouldn’t Bon be carrying a PA CDL with an expiration date further in the future and not the old CDL that expires 01 July 2026?

Perhaps it’s just me but something doesn’t pass the smell test here.

Sorry, meant to say, wouldn’t Bon be carrying a MA CDL with an expiration date further in the future and not the old CDL that expires 01 July 2026.

I saw this story over the weekend and wanted to vomit. Pennsylvania state trooper Michael Pahira had just moved in with his parents to help take care of his mother, who has cancer. Now she has to bury her son. Outrageous.

I wonder why the illegal alien wasn’t arrested at the crash.

Happened just recently near Chicago on I8O Sikh driver ran over a 23 yr old kid changing a tire and fled.

Could ICE get a federal court order to detain these illegals so it would be a crime to not turn over the illegal? When the Dems refuse to obey the court order they would face prison time.
