The Department of Justice made two big moves today!
Officials subpoenaed New York Attorney General Letitia James regarding possibly violating President Donald Trump’s rights during the civil trial and her investigation into the NRA.
Attorney General Pam Bondi gave special prosecutor Ed Martin permission to investigate allegations of mortgage fraud allegedly committed by Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA).
A grand jury out of Albany, NY, will investigate the allegations of James violating Trump’s rights, according to Fox News.
The subpoenas supposedly demanded documents, including information about James’s civil lawsuit against Trump.
The civil lawsuit was such a sham. Absolutely bonkers. I mean, the banks had no problem with what he did. Anyone who has sold a house knows that you ask for more than what the house is worth. It’s called negotiations.
Not only the charges, but also Judge Arthur Engoron. The judge never hid his hatred for Trump and pretty much made it known how he would rule at the end of the case.
I’ll never forget Engoron telling the court during Trump’s testimony, “I don’t want to hear everything he has to say.”
James received her wish after the court told Trump to pay a $454 million fine for supposedly falsifying documents and inflating his assets.
Okay, I need to stop before my blood pressure goes through the roof.
Then there’s the NRA investigation.
It was a split decision. James wanted to dissolve the NRA outright, which the State Supreme Court struck down before the trial started.
The trial ended with kicking out the leader, Wayne LaPierre, and finding him liable for $5.4 million.
However, the court denied James’s request that a court-appointed monitor oversee the NRA.
Then we have Schifty Schiff, as Trump calls him. I can’t blame him. I don’t even want to be in the same room with this guy. Blech.
In November 2023, Leslie wrote about Schiff having a full-time house in Maryland despite claiming a “primary residence” in California.
CNN blew the lid off this controversy, too. Cracked me up.
The dude has a 3,420 square foot home in Maryland, and yet his “primary residence” in California is…a 650 square foot condo in Burbank.
How can a one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo be his primary residence when he has a wife and multiple kids?
The story went away until Trump revealed that Fannie Mae’s Financial Crimes Division concluded that Shifty Schiff “engaged in a sustained pattern of possible Mortgage Fraud.”
The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) sent the DOJ a criminal referral.
