Trump Reinstates Service Members Discharged for Refusing COVID-19 Vaccine

The Pentagon kicked out 8,400 soldiers between 2021-2023.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order reinstating service members the Defense Department ousted because they refused the COVID-19 vaccine.

He wrote:

Sec. 2. Redress. Consistent with the policies announced in section 1 of this order, the Secretary of Defense or the Secretary of Homeland Security, as appropriate, shall take all necessary action permitted by law to:

(a) make reinstatement available to all members of the military (active and reserve) who were discharged solely for refusal to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and who request to be reinstated;

(b) enable those service members reinstated under this section to revert to their former rank and receive full back pay, benefits, bonus payments, or compensation; and

(c) allow any service members who provide a written and sworn attestation that they voluntarily left the service or allowed their service to lapse according to appropriate procedures, rather than be vaccinated under the vaccine mandate, to return to service with no impact on their service status, rank, or pay.

In August 2021, former Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin mandated service members get the COVID vaccine or get kicked out.

Former President Joe Biden’s administration faced many lawsuits, leading to stays of the mandate.

But the stays did not happen before the Defense Department discharged many service members.

The Pentagon kicked out 8,400 soldiers.

Austin rescinded the mandate in 2023, but the discharged soldiers never returned.

How many have just moved on? How many will tell the services to go do an anatomically unlikely act?

Beautiful. This is fairness and justice, in action.

Donald Trump has obviously spent the last 4 years of the Biden regime thinking and listening to the right people.

His actions right out of the gate are powerful and impeccable; the execution of a plan carefully crafted.

Many Americans, like myself, believe Trump was saved from death by the hand of God, and we pray that Hand continues to guide him.

I suspect a lot of those who decide to come back will do so based solely on who the CnC is.

Loyalty to your servicemen will be repaid with loyalty back.

I believe Trump has been planning on what he has to do, who he has to do it with, and how to do it. The slow thinking people in Congress and the various Admin agencies do not stand a chance. The Deep State plan to take out Trump will not work with someone that is playing 4D chess against them.

Adam Kinzinger (I know, I know) had this to say:

So, the “no govt handouts” party is going to give in some cases up to 300k in one big check to people who didn’t do anything?

And, doubling down:

You may get back payed, but you don’t deserve it. The rest of the military who actually did work, does.
Not you. You were kicked out.

He tripled down, too.

I pray every day for justice against people such as these.

If anything comes out for civil service workers impacted by this crap I’m jumping on that bandwagon for the hell they put me through and going after compensation.

Should do something for those discharged that don’t want to come back also.

Financial compensation of some sort.

Also, curious what the terms of their discharge was? Was it less than Honorable? If so, should fix that.

Back pay, reinstatement at previous rank (if desired, I personally wouldn’t take the chance) and upgrades of any bad discharges given to honorable.
