Women Will be Punished ‘Without Mercy’ for Violating Hijab Law, Iran’s Judiciary Chief Warns

Iran’s judiciary chief Mohseni-Ejei: “Those who commit such anomalous acts will be punished and will be prosecuted without mercy.”

Iran’s judiciary chief has threatened to punish women “without mercy” if they go in public without the Sharia-mandated hijab or veil.

Iran top Sharia enforcer, Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, issued the stern warning after months of nationwide protests that began last September following the death of 22-year-old woman, Mashan Amini, in the custody of Iran’s Islamic Morality Police. She was arrested and beaten by the regime-appointed Sharia enforcers for wearing her hijab “improperly.”

Mohseni-Eje knows what persecution “without mercy” means. As Iran’s Prosecutor General he oversaw the deadly crackdown of the pro-democracy uprising triggered by the flawed 2009 Iranian presidential election. Between 2005-2009, he also served as the Minister of Intelligence under notorious Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Not complying with hijab could result in serious punishment in Iran. In December, a Tehran court sentenced a woman for 10 years in prison for removing her headscarf. The 25-year-old women was charged with “encouraging corruption and prostitution” for taking off her hijab and swinging it above her head in an act of protest against the regime’s hijab law.

Sky News UK reported the Iranian judiciary chief’s warning:

Women will be prosecuted “without mercy” if they are seen in public without a veil, Iran’s judiciary chief has warned.

Following protests in recent months, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei said on Saturday: “Unveiling is tantamount to enmity with [our] values.

“Those who commit such anomalous acts will be punished and will be prosecuted without mercy.”

He did not specify what the punishment would be, but violations of state laws on hijabs have seen people face arrest, fines, imprisonment and even the death sentence.

Top Sharia enforcer Mohseni-Eje received backing from Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi, who on Saturday reiterated that wearing hijab was not a matter of personal choice for a woman, but a “legal requirement” in the Shia-Islamic Republic.

The remarks come amid reports of pro-regime thugs taking law into their own hands to enforce the hijab law on the streets. The Jerusalem Post reported:

President Ebrahim Raisi said on Saturday that the hijab was the law in Iran after a viral video showed a man throwing yogurt at two unveiled women in a shop near a holy Shi’ite Muslim city. (…)

Judicial authorities in a town near the northeastern city of Mashhad issued arrest warrants for the man seen pouring yogurt over the heads of the two women, a mother and her daughter. They were also the subject of arrest warrants for flouting Iran’s strict female dress rules, state media reported.

Risking arrest for defying the obligatory dress code, women are still widely seen unveiled in malls, restaurants, shops and streets around the country. Videos of unveiled women resisting the morality police have flooded social media. (…)

In live remarks on state television, Raisi said: “If some people say they don’t believe (in the hijab)… it’s good to use persuasion … But the important point is that there is a legal requirement … and the hijab is today a legal matter.”

Hundreds of Iranians were killed and at least 15,000 were arrested as the regime clamped down on anti-hijab protests that turned into a nationwide uprising, with protesters calling for an end of the Islamic regime and death to the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

I hope I live to see the day when the Iranian people drag the mullahs into the streets, beat them mercilessly until dead, and hang their corpses from the lampposts of Tehran,

Great idea, but that will never happen. Under Islamic law, that the Caliph (or any other leader, if there is no Caliph) is abusive is not a legitimate reason to remove him. The only legitimate reason is because he is “unjust”, which in Islamic terms means “doesn’t uphold Sharia”.

We might think of these women as courageous, but in Islamic terms they are making mischief or strife for openly agitating against legitimate rule. That is apostasy. Imprisonment, exile, or execution are all acceptable (in Islamic terms) punishments for that.

Since when do mobs carefully consider the legal and religious aspects of an action before performing it? A lot of Iranians are absolutely sick of being ruled by a theocracy.

According to your line of thinking, under the Nuremberg Race Laws the extermination of Jews was neither illegal nor immoral.
That didn’t stop its proponents subsequently being executed at Nuremberg, did it?

Where are all the feminazis that a few years ago were complaining about ME TOO and times up? Seems this would be a place for them to throw their tantrums.

They support this. If all the trans nonsense has taught us nothing it is that there are no such things as feminists and that the elite… men and women want women subjugated and bullied and shamed into silence… because ultimately women like that raise weak submissive sons and encourage their men to shut up and submit to whatever that powers that be declare is to be followed.

All feminists are women, but not all women are feminists. Feminism is a class-disordered ideology that serves a minority interest.

Men, women, and “our Posterity” are from Earth. Feminists are from Venus. Masculinists are from Mars. Social progressives are from Uranus. #WarOfTheWorlds

        “Social progressives are from Uranus.”

To be flushed away without a second thought.

Leftists don’t believe what they say they believe.

They don’t have principles, they have objectives.

Don’t care.

Not our country, not our business.

They can go whine to their Democrat friends about their ‘women’s rights’. Oh wait, they don’t care either because that doesn’t help them dupe stupid US women into voting for them.

Looks like they’re just screwed.

How many Iranian women are showing up at our southern border as ‘refugees’? Because they rate it much more than any Central American country shopper.

I’m trying to picture what this clown might look like a head shorter.

” …. punished ….. without mercy.”

Starting with introducing males to female sports in the USA.

Sounds like a totally voluntary religious practice to me.

President 0bama and FJoe Biden approved of his message. The “feminist” movement is devoid of reality.

Our influence within Iran is zero, and I find human rights violations in the United States by the United States Government significantly more important and urgent and unlike nation building in Iran nation building in America is doable.

Persian Spring

Ladies that’s Barky and Sundowner’s pals doing this war against women.
And some Leftists say it’s liberating for women to go under the hijab.

would like to see all these “mostly-peaceful” transactivists and hoodrats try their shows in iran

BierceAmbrose | April 2, 2023 at 8:42 pm

Well, punishment and persecution prosecution will have to be pretty “without mercy” to make an impression beyond how they treat women otherwise.

Forgot to check the markup. Dammit.

Well, punishment and persecution prosecution will have to be “without mercy” to reach beyond how they treat women in general, because god told them to do that.

But, recall that American Dhimmi-crats and their Muslim supremacist allies assure us, in their supposed sagacity, that the hijab is a feminist symbol of women’s liberation.

But how will they treat the trans community?

Why do all the pro-democracy protests in Iran occur when a Democrat is President? Nothing was done to support the Iranian people during the Obama and now the Biden/Obama administrations.
