There were a few stories in education this week that seemed to go beyond showing support for the LGBT community.

This just isn’t cool.
Such devotion.
It’s all about identity.
Where do you even start with this?
Free speech is still a problem for some reason.

There are a lot of gay people who are conservatives. In fact we have a lot of very faithful gay commenters who post regularly right here on LI. The problem with using the term “LGBTQ” is that we are letting the leftists control the conversation. We are throwing our own members in with these worthless pieces of shit who have nothing in common with them.
No, the real problem here is that the gay community is letting itself be highjacked for political purposes. Gay and lesbian people from 40 years ago assured Americans that they were not a threat, and that they were not the same as pedophiles and other deviants. So over time, they earned the respect and rights that all people are entitled to.
That movement is being taken over by the pedophiles and by those with a political agenda who are using them to attack the American government and society. The same people who used race to forward a political agenda are now using gay rights to do the same.
This will cause a tremendous backlash that will eventually set gay rights back decades.

I am not talking about the gay community. I am not part of it and I am not here to give them any advice. I am part of the LI community and I am referring to our fellow members here to happen to be gay. They are in the minority here and also in the minortiy in the gay community.
It’s true, though. Nobody can police a “victim group” effectively except other members of the “victim group.”
I’m a life member of Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership. Several times I’ve mentioned to the management that when they publicly rebuke gun grabbers, as members of a historically disarmed and genocided minority, they have pull that non-Jews like me could never hope to wield. Some of them get it, others of them have no idea what I’m talking about. I don’t understand why it’s not glaringly obvious.
