On Thursday and with the help of three purported Republican Senators (Mitt Romney, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski), President Biden’s Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed to the highest court in a 53-47 vote, becoming one of the most radically left-wing Justices and the first one who cannot define what the word “woman” means in our nation’s history.
In remarks made on the South Lawn of the White House during a Friday victory lap ceremony, Vice President Kamala Harris declared that America lived up to her ideals “through the confirmation of the first black woman to the United States Supreme Court.”
Shortly thereafter, Biden spoke and the word “history” was thrown in numerous times, just so people would remember that it was supposedly only through Joe Biden, who openly bragged during his 2020 presidential campaign about being able to work alongside segregationist Senators in the 1970s, that the nomination of a black woman to the Supreme Court was made possible.
At one point during his speech, Biden talked about the confirmation hearings for Judge Jackson, which in total took exactly four days. He proclaimed that under questioning from Republican Senators, Jackson was subjected to “verbal abuse” and the “most vile, baseless assertions and accusations”:
I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I knew the person I nominated would be put through a painful and difficult confirmation process. But I have to tell you, what Judge Jackson was put through was well beyond that. There was verbal abuse. The anger. The constant interruptions. The most vile, baseless assertions and accusations.

Left out of his remarks, of course, was how then-Sen. Joe Biden was one of the the architects along with the late Sen. Ted Kennedy behind the modern-day vicious smear campaigns against GOP Supreme Court nominees. We saw it with Robert Bork (1987) and also Clarence Thomas (1991), the latter made it to the Supreme Court despite racially-charged attacks against him made by Senate Democrats including Biden:
Also left out of what Biden said Friday was his purposeful use of what he now calls the “Jim Crow filibuster” between 2003 and 2005 to stall the nomination of then-Judge Janice Rogers Brown, who is black, to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. In praising former Democrat KKKer turned Democrat Senator Robert Byrd for his knowledge of the Senate rules, Biden at the time called the use of the filibuster and his eventual “no” vote on her confirmation the “single most significant vote” of his career:
Biden later threatened to use the filibuster on Brown again in the event then-President Bush nominated her to the Supreme Court:
Conveniently, Biden also failed to mention Friday how he supported baseless Democrat smear campaigns against Brett Kavanaugh back in 2018, when Kavanaugh was accused without evidence of rape by Christine Blasey Ford and then later of being a “gang rapist.”
“The woman should be given the benefit of the doubt and should not be abused again by the system,” Biden said in an interview during Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings:
Just months before she declared her candidacy for president, then-Sen. Kamala Harris made sure she was one of the loudest amplifiers of the accusations against Kavanaugh, who was subjected to one of the nastiest campaigns this country has ever seen against a Supreme Court nominee.
She also was one of the Democrat Senators who at one point helped delay the confirmation process for Kavanaugh by staging a walkout:
And yet we’re supposed to believe that Judge Jackson, who was questioned solely on her judicial decisions and political affiliations, was the Supreme Court nominee who was subjected to the worst “verbal abuse” and “the most vile accusations”?
The kicker here is when it came time to vote on Jackson’s confirmation, two Republican Senators -Lindsey Graham and Rand Paul – reportedly had to vote from the cloakroom because they forgot to wear their ties. To the media and Democrats, this was further evidence that Brown had to suffer the “indignity” of Republican Senators who supposedly were disrespecting her and stalling the vote on her confirmation because she was black:

As I’ve said before, the media and Democrats who continue to try and memory hole the Thomas and Kavanaugh hearings can feel like things were worse for Judge Jackson all they want to, but unfortunately for them, the actual facts don’t care about their feelings. Their record, as shameful as it is, speaks for itself.
