The NY Times is on a hiring spree for its Op-Ed pages, purporting to get more diversity of opinion.

The NY Times and The Washington Post only are interested in liberal bloggers, and token “nice” conservatives, like Ross Douthat.
By contrast, I would be a real troublemaker. And they know it.

Professor, methinks that’s the highest recommendation the New York Crimes paper can give.
I think the best reason is the reason you won’t work for them; as that famous Marxist (Groucho) once said, “I would never join a club that would have me as a member.”
The NYT doesn’t hire people who are 1/4 Veit. It’s full-blooded or take a hike.
