Warren supporters harass Cherokee genealogist

Warren supporters harass Cherokee genealogist

Twila Barnes is a Cherokee genealogist who, along with her Cherokee genealogy team, has done more than anyone to document that Elizabeth Warren does not have Cherokee ancestry and that her family lore stories likely are false.

Barnes has published her findings in great detail with documentary back-up at her blog Thoughts from Polly’s Granddaughter.

Among other things, Barnes has traced the family history of Warren’s mother, has located documents showing her mother’s family always was identified as white, and even that Warren herself reported her “Aunt Bee” (as to whom Warren attributed the “high cheekbones” comment) to be White.

Barnes team also located the 1932 wedding announcement and other documents for Warren’s parents which rebut Warren’s claims that her parents eloped because her father’s family rejected her supposedly Native American mother.  Although there never was a claim that Warren’s maternal grandfather was Cherokee, Barnes even traced that family lineage just to make sure.

Barnes has been interviewed numerous times about her findings, including on Fox News and local news in Boston.

Barnes is part of the group Cherokees Demand Truth from Elizabeth Warren.

No one has been able to show that any of Barnes’ research was incorrect.

Yet Barnes was attacked by the Warren campaign when Barnes traveled in June with a group of Cherokees seeking a meeting with Warren to show Warren her genealogy.  Warren rejected the meeting, and her campaign sought to portray the group as a Brown campaign operation, and attacked the team for associating with a “right-wing extremist” (me!).

The attacks on Barnes have gone beyond the Warren campaign rhetoric.

Not long after Warren’s problems surfaced and Barnes research was highlighted in the media, a Warren supporter using the name “Marilyn Ruhl” (not sure if that is a real or fake name) started a Facebook group with the title “The Native American Ancestors Of Elizabeth Warren” ostensibly devoted to providing documentary proof that Warren was Cherokee.

The group described itself as being made up of Warren campaign volunteers:

Barnes extensively has debunked genealogical claims by this pro-Warren group by showing that their claims of Warren Cherokee ancestry were based on false and speculative connections of various Cherokees to Warren’s lineage.

The comments on the Facebook page and even some of the posts have been devoted to attacking Barnes.  I have been following the personal attacks on Barnes for most of the summer, but did not write previously so as not to provide attention to the pro-Warren group, which until recently had few followers.

Now Barnes has posted about the harassment, Veiled Threats and Other, including numerous screenshots such as this email from Ruhl (redacton by me):

And this claim by Ruhl that she is reporting information back to the Warren campaign:

Barnes has more screenshots at her post.

Rather than show specifics of where Barnes’ research supposedly is wrong, the pro-Warren group attacks Barnes personally and suggests a conspiracy involving even Karl Rove:

I’m not reprinting some of the more pernicious rumors and accusations they attempt to spread both on that Facebook page and elsewhere, so as not to spread false allegations, but it is ugly.

This comment by “Marie Canilla” (possibly the same person as the user of the name “Marilyn Ruhl”) is typical of the threat to smear Barnes (redaction by me):

There is a consistent effort to paint Barnes as crazy, and they refer to her as “Twilight.”  One of the participants, a purported genealogist from upstate New York,  attempted to post such comments at LI, but I did not put it through.

There is a lot more evidence saved of the attempt to harass Barnes, but you get the picture.  I have not yet identified all of the participants in this campaign, but will if it escalates further.

This has been a classic “shoot the messenger” play.

A Cherokee genealogist spoke out with evidence showing that Elizabeth Warren’s claims to be Cherokee and family lore stories were false, traveled to Boston to show Warren the evidence, and then was met with smear tactics by the Warren campaign and its supporters.

Related:  In case you didn’t realize it at the time, Barnes was featured prominently in our own video about Warren, which now has over 13,000 views on YouTube (actually, it has a lot more but that’s a long story):

This what I love about facebook … you can organize your own deviant form of the KKK in broad daylight.

Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, Rule 13. That’s their strategy for everything!

Also, ridicule is their favorite weapon. Demonize, marginalize, polarize.

Yep. That’s Dem operatives all over.

Scott Brown NEEDS to win MA once again, if just to save our country from this Alinsky-ite: delusional, pathological liar Lizzy Warren.

The moral geneology of the Left, Alinksy himself, can be traced to the French Revolution, especially to “journalist” Jean Paul Marat. His virulent character destruction of political enemies has appeared in every expression of Leftism since. It never changes. The emails above are so tediously familiar. It’s such a obvious, quantifiable, constant pathology it boggles the mind that more republicans haven’t been identify it and predict it and respond to it better, or often at all.

What do others think of the political possibilities for Scott Brown to make an issue of what these people are doing to the Twila and the other Cherokees? Is he afraid of pointing out the behavior of the Left? Is he walking some fine line in Massachusetts which compels him not to alienate liberals? Isn’t this a kind of echo of what Romney seems to be doing in not pointing out the raging Leftism of Obama, i.e., so as not to alienate erstwhile Obama supporters? Will we ever wage war on the Left or even acknowledge their war on us?

Some media people need to demand an on-camera DNA donation from Princess Running Bare.

Put this crap down…hard.

Typical Democrat thug, I repeat myself, style.

A new development – currently the headlining article at The Daily Caller:

Harvard Law Dean Cited Affirmative Action in 1993; Elizabeth Warren Qualifications Questioned

But how do we know that Marilyn Ruhl and her band of renowns aren’t being paid by “Big Oil,” “Big Wind,” “Big Whiskey,” the “Koch Brothers,” “George Soros,” the “Bilderbergs,” the “CFR,” the “VRWC,” “SDS,” the “Herndon Alliance,” “Bill Ayers,” the “Joyce Foundation,” “Lyndon LaRoche,” the “Fusion Energy Foundation,” the “MRTA,” the Japanese “Red Army faction,” “Media Matters,” or the “National Science Foundation.”

They can’t do this themselves .. somebody had to help them.

I love reading a good, persuasive brief. Thanks, Prof. Jacobson.

Elizabeth Warren is channeling her dead white ancestor who, as a member of the Tennessee militia, helped round up the Cherokee for the Trail of Tears.

“No Way, Lizzy”

As a lawyer, Liz was “fair”,
But to be “Prof” she had to share
MINORITY traits that just weren’t there.
Oh, poor Lizzy.

And then she had a wicked dream,
She’d steal a “Cherokee Nation” theme,
Theft of a race was her crazy scheme,
Crazy, crazy Lizzy.

Harvard bought the lie real fast,
And Liz kept lying to the last!
She could deceive with stunning class!
Dirty, dirty Lizzy.

Now Cherokees kept perfect lists,
Of their descendants in our midst,
And Lizzy’s name did not exist!
Oh, oh Lizzy.

In fact the TRUTH was stranger still,
LIZ’ forebears, like George Custer, killed,
The Cherokees who were living still!
BAD, BAD LIZZY!

But when confronted by her frauds,
Liz attacked–she wasn’t awed
By truth, or even Indian Gods
Danger, danger Lizzy!

Now Massachusetts must decide,
If Liz, with BO right at her side,
Can mock both state and indian pride.
No way, Lizzy.

NO RIGHTS RESERVED

Previously, when I heard the terms “stonewalling” and “dirty tricks” Nixon came to mind. Now, that seems to be changing . . .

Elizabeth Warren is Massachusetts’ version of another (even Nobel-prized) major female fraud – Rigoberta Menchú. Google her and you’ll see what I mean.

The Democrat Party, the Party of the “Little Guy”, the “Oppressed”, the “Minorities”, the [fill in the blank that indicates anything that is Not Republican], who champions “equal rights” for all people, and the total recognition of minority rights in society, as well as Native American rights to their land and fortune…

… the same Party that will champion a woman who flat out lied about her ancestry in order to get ahead under “affirmative action”, even when Native Americans proper have proven she’s NOT ONE OF THEM…

… and the same Party that will harass, intimidate and even assault minorities that point such inconvenient and obvious facts to their faces, because they contradict/don’t tout/oppose/deny the Party line.

This is how they keep their minorities in check. This is why they have kept the African-American population so tightly inside the plantation, the Jim Jones-like cult, that probably the same percentage of them (98%) who support The One to the last man also believed that O.J. Simpson was “innocent”…

Good is “evil” and evil is “good”. Bitter is “sweet” and sweet is “bitter”. Left is “right” and right is “wrong”…

“War is Peace.
Freedom is Slavery.
Ignorance is Strength.”
– the new mantra of the Democrat Party, copied from George Orwell’s 1984

At this point, I hope enough people (especially here)see that Democrat movement of 2012 is a fascist movement. In fascist movements, all bets are off. (And that should preclude limiting our own tactics.)

Does anyone need more proof than Obama (via Axelrod) turning Eric Holder loose on the Gallup polling organization to intimidate them into skewing their poll even MORE?

Every campaign has clutch moments where the correct decision must be made without certainty it is correct. Warren blew hers when this scandal first broke and she decided to double down on her Cherokee ancestry lies. Poor decision makers ought to lose.

Did you know that Pinocchio and Elizabeth Warren have the same exact CV (and the same DNA, too)?

There is a Marilyn D. Ruhl, age 48, of Herring Run Rd. in East Sandwich, an area the residents like to tart up as “Forestdale”. She has a married sister with the surname Cannilla, and a niece who sometimes uses her middle name and signs herself Marie Cannilla. However, the niece is only about 18 and usually goes by her first name, so I suspect the Marie Cannilla of the nasty posts is Marilyn herself.

On a facebook post dated 8/22 Ruhl wrote of herself: “I had a Right-Wing Republican father who was a Bigot, Racist, Antisemitic, a wife beater, an alcoholic, and a pedophile, so I haven’t had the best experience in life with men. He drank himself to death 15 years ago. So it’s not me. There AR
E alot of lousy men out there. There are also alot of nice men, but its hard to find them. Democratic men tend to like women, more. The Republican men are followers of the Misogynists, Howie Carr and Rush Limbaugh……..”

Later, in response to a man who commented on the above, Ruhl added: “Bob…you suggest I am a man-hater….but I’m a victim of child abuse by my father. You have a real nice way of blaming the victim….”

So, we’ve got her number. So kind of her to let us have it, upfront like that, for free!

Democratic men tend to like women, more

I think she inverted a word. Democratic men are more like women seems more plausible.

The irony never ceases: Ms. Ruhl lives on Herring Run Road, and she supports Elizabeth Warren’s (nee Herring) run (away from the truth, the cherokees, etc)!

BTW, my wife noted that Elizabeth is “full of Bolshevik”.

Marilyn D. Ruhl = Borderline Personality Disorder.

What would Saul Alinsky advise you to do?

Wait – someone at some point in time floated an accusation that a person on the internet is mentally ill, which therefore means it has to be true? People actually make that argument? Did they actually read their threats before posting them? If this happened in a real-world town hall they’d be laughed out of the room!

Liberals rarely allow facts to get in the way of a “narrative”. They instead use personal attacks to drive away their enemies…

It’s true. If she had just come clean at the beginning, the story would have turned out very differently by now.

More: Marilyn D. Ruhl graduated from Sandwich high school in 1982. Her linked-in page says she attended Regis College from 2005-2009, but it lists no degree. In 2009-2010 she had herself enrolled as a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. She used to have a listing with Psychology Today as a psychiatric nurse/therapist in Plymouth, but it’s been removed — no reason given. On her facebook postings she calls herself a nurse and claims to have attended graduate school, but I haven’t come across any evidence of that yet.

But — saving the best for last — a site called Great Health Options shows a “Marilyn Ruhl, DO, Naturopath” of Sandwich. DOs are osteopathic doctors who attend med school and have the same rights and responsibilities as MDs. Naturopaths (gag me) obtain an ND degree which is not recognized in Massachusetts, though they keep pushing for it, so that they can get reimbursed by health insurance. The way Ruhl brags about her intellect on facebook, if she actually had a DO, I’m sure she’d append it to her name every time she mentioned herself.

This looks to me like a case of fraud by misrepresentation. No wonder she loves Lizzie so!

    Quackwatch / Testimony Opposing Naturopathic
    Licensure in Massachusetts:

“The naturopaths who seek licensure here consider themselves to be “primary care physicians.” Although Massachusetts law now forbids them from using the term “physician,” they will nevertheless portray themselves as being the equivalent: that is what they are told by their schools and their national organization, and that is what is stated in all of their national literature . This is in spite of the fact that their training includes no experience with sick, hospitalized patients, no internship or residency training, and occurs in four obscure institutions that are unaffiliated with academic medical centers and that have been denied accreditation by the U.S. Dept. of Education.”

Professor, is there any way to help Twila Barnes in the spreading of this truth – that is beyond the usual sharing of the story via social media?

TrooperJohnSmith | September 10, 2012 at 10:24 pm

Warren has plenty of “soul mates” as evidenced by Ms. Barnes’ own list of fraudulent Cherokee organizations:

http://www.pollysgranddaughter.com/p/fraudulent-cherokee-organizations.html

Once again, Warren’s “Native American” ancestors missed the point that REAL Indians call themselves… Indians. Hell, most of us are “native Americans”.

Dumbasses. Hoisted. Own. Petard.
