With the mainstream media pushing the narrative of Democratic candidate Joe Biden's supposed victory in the U.S. presidential race, the Iranian regime is stepping up its attacks on Israel. On Tuesday, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) foiled the latest incursion by the Iranian military and its proxy terrorist groups along the country's border with Syria.  

The world is a much safer place thanks to a recently revealed U.S.-Israel covert operation that killed Al Qaeda's second-in-command, Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah, hiding in Iran. Abdullah, who went by his jihadi name Abu Muhammad al-Masri, was on the FBI's most-wanted list and was plotting further terrorist attacks at the time of the strike.

The United States on Thursday placed sweeping sanctions on Iran's banking sector, crippling the regime's ability to finance global terrorism. The latest sanctions announced by the White House are perhaps the toughest measures against the regime-linked banks since President Donald Trump withdrew the U.S. from the Obama-Biden nuclear deal two years ago.

Iran and other rogue states are covertly working to acquire German technology for making nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, Germany's prominent intelligence agency confirmed on Friday. Tehran was using front companies to deceive German firms into selling dual-use equipment and sanctioned WMD technology, the intelligence service of Germany's Hesse state disclosed in its annual report.

While the mainstream media have largely shied away from reporting Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah's apparent link to this month's deadly Beirut blast, German newspaper Die Welt has published a detailed account citing Western intelligence agencies linking the Lebanese terrorist outfit to the carnage that killed more than 200 people and left thousands injured.

The Islamic Republic of Iran remains the "world’s worst state sponsor of terrorism," the U.S. State Department's annual Country Reports on Terrorism declared. Tehran was "directly involved in plotting terrorism" though its armed wing, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps IRGC and other state-controlled agencies, and had carried out terrorist "plots in recent years in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa," found the counter-terrorism report released on June 24.

Iran has threatened the United States over its oil shipments to Venezuela. In a letter written to the United Nations chief Antonio Guterres on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif warned against "America's movements in deploying its navy to the Caribbean." Tehran believes that action will disrupt its oil supplies to the Latin American country.

Hackers with links to Iran have targeted a U.S. drugmaker working on a potential coronavirus treatment, Reuters news agency reported on Friday. The US drugmaker Gilead Sciences, whose antiviral drug remdesivir has shown promising results in treating coronavirus patients, came repeatedly under cyber attack from servers based in Iran in recent weeks, media reports reveal.

U.S. President Donald Trump plans to block Iran's bid for a $5 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), news reports say. The international funding organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., is currently considering an Iranian request for "emergency funding," citing the outbreak of Wuhan Coronavirus in the country.
