Trump ‘Is A Man Of Action’: Iranians Receive Text Messages as Protests Reignite in Tehran

BBC: “Students at several universities in Iran have staged anti-government protests – the first such rallies on this scale since January’s deadly crackdown by the authorities.”

With anti-regime protests reigniting on campuses across Tehran, Iranians received anonymous text messages on their phones, declaring that “the U.S. president is a man of action,” according to the country’s media outlets. People of Iran need to “wait and see” as the regime continues to reject Washington’s core demands, the message in Farsi assured.

The Jerusalem Post reports:

Iranian anti-regime protesters received a mass SMS messaging campaign, stating that US President Donald Trump is “a man of action,” local sources reported on Monday.

The messages were written in Farsi, with some reports adding that they included “To the oppressed people of Iran,” as a hook, calling on them to “wait!”

Meanwhile, the first large pro-democracy demonstrations were reported in Tehran after the regime forces massacred thousands of protesters in a deadly clampdown.

“Students at several universities in Iran have staged anti-government protests – the first such rallies on this scale since January’s deadly crackdown by the authorities,” the BBC reported Monday.

“The BBC has verified footage of demonstrators marching on the campus of the Sharif University of Technology in the capital Tehran on Saturday,” the broadcaster added. “They were later seen scuffling with government supporters.”

Students were seen chanting “Death to the Islamic regime,” and hailing the return of the monarchy toppled by the Shia-Islamists in 1979. They burned the reviled regime flag, which is inscribed with “Allahu Akbar” 22 times, and waved the royalist flag with the lion and sun emblem.

Protests, which resumed over the weekend, continued on Monday. “Protests flared for a third consecutive day Monday at universities across Iran, as students returning to campus for the start of the semester intensified their public challenge to the regime in Tehran,” the Israel Hayom newspaper reported.

“The demonstrations, which began at Sharif University of Technology and Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran and have since spread to other institutions nationwide, mark the most significant open opposition to the regime since the brutal suppression of the January protests, during which thousands of demonstrators were killed by security forces,” the daily added.

The protest was met with violence, with the Islamic Guards’ Basij military assaulting students. “Campus protest videos also showed Basij (state-backed paramilitary volunteer forces) at the University of Tehran attacking protesting students,” the British daily Guardian observed.

Amid rising tension, the State Department was telling most of the embassy staff to leave Lebanon, a country dominated by the Iranian proxy terrorist group Hezbollah. According to The Associated Press, “The United States has ordered nonessential diplomats and their family members to leave Lebanon, a State Department official said Monday, as tensions over Iran rise with the threat of a potentially imminent military strike.”

President Trump is considering a limited strike to “nudge along” the nuclear talks with Tehran, some news reports suggest. The USS Gerald R Ford has now reached the Mediterranean Sea, preparing to join another aircraft carrier strike group, the USS Abraham Lincoln, operating in the Middle East.

While refusing to accept President Trump’s key demands, Iran is gearing up for a possible U.S. strike. The regime wants to survive such a strike, hoping to keep its command structure and nuclear weapons program intact. “The Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has entrusted Ali Larijani, the top national security official, to ensure the Islamic Republic endures any military attacks,” The New York Times reported Sunday.

So, what do we really know? Too much talking.

The protesters should wait until Trump acts before protesting. To easy now to get yourself killed.

Correct. Trump is not going to fire a few cruise missiles for PR purposes.

Most likely once he gets carriers and other assets in place the military will strike key targets with devastating effect.

The attack will probably be coordinated with the IDF and Mossad.

In the best case scenario it will be coordinated with anti regime elements in Iran including the non Republican Guard military and will succeed in toppling the evil regime in power.

Every time I see a reference to the Gerald R. Ford strike group, I think of the advertising tag line from the 1940s, one the Iranian heirarchy should think about:

“There’s a Ford in your future.”
.

The Texas GOP tends to blow a lot of money on focus groups, pollsters and campaign consultants. Not much left over for the nuts-and-bolts of actual campaigning and GOTV.

    1. There are no Sharia law courts in Texas. 2. It’s the primaries.

      Yeah, I believe there are.
They just operate like “fight club” or the Godfather’s wedding.
They have only the power granted them by the parties’ mutual respect for the religious judge — exactly like US corporations who write arbitration into their TOS.
Your argument may as well be that “there are no hospitals that perform Muslim FGM.” Doesn’t mean there isn’t FGM going on.

New data shows Democrats are dominating early voting in Texas

What does that mean? Only that more people are voting early in the Dem primary than in the Rep one. Texas has open primaries (which I think is a stupid thing), so maybe there’s just less interest in the R primary, and early voters are choosing to have their say in the D primary instead.

In any case there’s no reason for the GOP to encourage voting in the primary. It makes no difference in November how many people voted in each primary.

Irving Texas is the city in Texas where 2 Sharia Law courts are operating, already ruling on over 300 cases

So? Why is this a problem? There have got to be at least 100 courts of Jewish law operating in NYC alone, and no one objects to that. And there’s at least one in Texas.

      Virginia42 in reply to Milhouse. | February 24, 2026 at 9:06 am

You think those courts are equivalent? Seriously?

I agree you with just about everything but Islamic court and Jewish court I’m willing to bet are very different things. In the sense that Judaism and Christianity are very different practically than Islam. First two are generally supportive of western civilization – human rights, freedom of press, freedom of religion, etc. the third is very different.

One is a religion of head choppers. Two are not. Christianity WAS in the Middle Ages but long ago joined civilization.

Milhouse in reply to krb. | February 24, 2026 at 7:26 pm

No, the courts are exactly the same. And Judaism is closer to Islam than to Christianity in many (though far from all) respects.

The religion that is closest to Orthodox Judaism is actually Sikhism.

There are no on the ground reports of the exact numbers of people killed in the demonstrations. I hope the President treads lightly. If he is going to strike it has to be a decapitation strike. All of the senior mullahs. All of the IRGCC senior generals, colonels, majors, captains and lieutenants. All of the senior secret police commanders. Any boat, missile or nuclear facility. Deep command bunkers, nuclear bunkers and hideouts. The Israelis now there locations. They’ve had the Iranian security services throughly penetrated. Once you’ve done that step aside. Let the Iranian people work it out. It will be a bloodbath for the mullah regime and IRGCC and secret police. Stay out of that end of it. It won’t take long. Then offer assistance.

If he’s a man of action he needs to do something. All that’s happened so far is a bunch of Iranians have been killed believing they would have help.

destroycommunism in reply to Just Al. | February 23, 2026 at 4:18 pm

theyve been murdered b/c the leftwing iranian gov murdered them

they are protesting in hopes of getting the usa>>world to send help

but even w/o that hope,,,they would be protesting>>hopefully rioting

as one cant take the communistnazism agenda as a good way to live

destroycommunism | February 23, 2026 at 4:16 pm

blmplo sends their support to the students for rioting

until they found out these iranians are for freedom

I’m afraid Trump is too hesitant here

He’s wavering I’m concerned he’ll fall for their demands and wrongly call it a win.

Youve no idea whats going on in the background. Remember, this isnt a democrat in Office…which should give the people of Iran a f8ck load more hope that actual change is coming.

destroycommunism | February 23, 2026 at 5:28 pm

mossad rigged those pagers

maybe some well read books in iran will be given the same treatment

” [Iran] hoping to keep its command structure and nuclear weapons program intact.”

“The United States conducted airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—on June 22, 2025, as part of Operation Midnight Hammer”

Wasn’t the NWP set back 20 years, and a score of Iran’s leading NWP scientists killed over the course of a couple years?

“The US President is a man of action. Wait.”
Is that like “do nothing, trust the plan?” That is SO over.
