Documentary filmmaker and former congressional candidate Jon Ossoff announced his candidacy for Senate in 2020 to challenge incumbent Republican David Perdue.

Ossoff became a Democratic wonderboy in 2017 when he ran in the special election for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District. Republican Karen Handel defeated him, 51.8% to 48.2%.

Georgia Republican Sen. Johnny Isakson announced this morning he will step down at the end of 2019 due to his battle with Parkinson’s disease.

People on social media brought up Stacey Abrams, but she immediately shot down the idea.

On Sunday, I wrote about Democrat state Rep. Erica Thomas walking back her statement that Cuban anti-Trump Democrat Eric Sparkes told her to “go back where she came from.”  Since then, she has walked back her walk back and is insisting that he did say that.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) tried so hard to get failed Georgia governor candidate Stacey Abrams to challenge Republican incumbent Sen. David Perdue in 2020.

It didn’t work as Abrams announced today she will not run for the senate in 2020.

Students at Emory University, including Jewish students, woke up this week to find eviction notices taped to their dorm room doors. The notices were posted by ‘Emory Students for Justice in Palestine’ as part of “Israeli Apartheid Week.”
