Anthony Weiner, the disgraced former New York Congressman and husband of Hillary confidante Huma Abedin, has (ahem) inserted himself into the debate over the 2016 election. Weiner has obvious reasons for backing Clinton which go beyond party affiliation and his wife's relationship to the Democratic nominee. If Hillary wins, Weiner will have access to the White House and a host of new career opportunities.

When it comes to hunching over while breathing through the mouth, he surely knows a thing or two. . . If you're the perviest creep in politics, you really shouldn't insult millions of decent Americans in the most denigrating terms. But hey, you're disgraced ex-congressman Anthony Weiner, husband of close Hillary aide Huma Abedin. Appearing on today's With All Due Respect, Weiner, slumped in his chair in T-shirt and jeans, said that Donald Trump "appeals to that mouth-breathing, hunched over, one-tooth person that is the primary voter for Republicans." For good measure, Weiner said "I will eat Heilemann's shoes" if Hillary doesn't win in a blowout. He went on to call Trump "an anti-Semitic, anti-Hispanic, xenophobic ass," stopping just short of adding another syllable to that last word. Weiner clearly hasn't learned a thing. He gives off the same angry, out-of-control, exhibitionist vibe as he did back in the days that his pixelated private parts adorned the front pages.

A new documentary about disgraced former congressman Anthony "Carlos Danger" Weiner, entitled Weiner, is scheduled for limited release on Friday, and with all that Huma Abedin (Mrs. Danger Weiner) has been through with her "excessive pay" investigation  as well as her recent FBI interview, it seems that she will be reliving the downfall of her husband. The New York Post reports:
When the couple OK’d filming, they clearly expected a comeback story: “Disgraced congressman rebounds to become mayor.” What unfolded instead became a headline writer’s dream (“Weiner’s Rise and Fall”) and a wife’s nightmare. Yet there’s Abedin standing, however grimly, by her man. ‘I love him, I believe in him, I have forgiven him.’ - Huma Abedin Though she never raises her voice — the filmmakers often give us subtitles — her body language speaks volumes.

Huma Abedin, also known as Mrs. Anthony Weiner, is a close confidant and aide of Hillary Clinton. Really close. Hillary's minder, scheduler, gatekeeper, among other things. And Huma apparently didn't notice that the government paid her more than she was due, resulting in a federal embezzlement investigation. The Washington Post reports, Feds investigated top Hillary Clinton aide for embezzlement:
Federal investigators formally investigated top Hillary Rodham Clinton aide Huma Abedin for the crime of embezzlement after confirming she took a “Babymoon” vacation and maternity time at the State Department without expending her formal leave, resulting in thousands of dollars of pay she wasn’t entitled to receive, The Washington Times has learned. The probe also gathered evidence she filed time sheets charging the government for impermissible overtime and excessive hours after she converted from a full-time federal employee to a State Department contractor....

While speaking at a campaign event in the Boston area Friday night, Donald Trump was jabbing Hillary Clinton and slipped into a seemingly improvised monologue about embattled Clinton aide Huma Abedin and her husband Anthony Weiner. Josh Feldman of Mediaite:
‘Bing Bing Bing': Trump Lets Loose on ‘Perv,’ ‘Sleazebag’ Anthony Weiner Trump was talking about Hillary Clinton‘s emails and then roped her aide Huma Abedin into it due to her involvement. But then Trump also brought in her husband, “one of the great sleazebags of our time.” Yes, Trump went on a whole riff about Weiner, who infamously engaged in sexting multiple times, calling him a “perv” and saying Abedin must be “desperately in love with him” if she’s staying with him. He riled up the crowd as he talked about Weiner and Abedin, and said that it’s pretty clear she’s telling her husband about some of the email stuff.

Did you know that Anthony Weiner, aka Carlos Danger, writes a regular column for Business Insider? In his latest piece, he wonders why Bernie Sanders, who's an independent socialist, is running for the Democratic nomination. This is pretty entertaining stuff:
ANTHONY WEINER: I have one big question for Bernie Sanders Apart from the Donald Trump sideshow, one of the biggest stories in the presidential election this past week has been the apparent momentum Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) is enjoying in his underdog campaign. Sanders has been drawing crowds of thousands at his rallies and is quickly becoming the main primary rival of Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton. I totally get Bernie Mania. However, I’m deeply conflicted about it. My wife works for Hillary so there’s that. But I’m also torn because I don’t really understand what he is doing.
It's good that Weiner admitted that last part. After all, he is married to Huma Abedin, one of Hillary Clinton's most trusted aides.
