LATEST NEWS

If you heard a lot of "dayums" Wednesday afternoon but weren't sure where they were coming from, it was very likely due to new White House Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. She gave a Reuters reporter an epic answer after he asked about past statements she made on the Trump administration's response to the Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak.

Wednesday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent a letter to the Dallas County judge who sentenced salon owner Shelly Luther to seven days in jail after she refused to apologize for opening her business against lockdown orders. Dallas County was one of the counties that released "hardened criminals" arguing it was to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. But yes, let's jail a woman opening her business to feed her family and ensure her stylists can feed theirs.

We know that an enormous amount of time, energy, and money are being funneled into a massive array of leftist groups with the sole purpose being to take down President Trump and/or to ensure he loses in November. One of the more troubling such efforts being reported involves software allegedly funded by the U.S. taxpayer to track and defeat ISIS.  This software is being used by a Democrat group to ensure Trump's coronavirus messaging gets disappeared and/or refuted by paid "influencers" online.

UPDATE: Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell told Schiff the materials are ready for release. If Schiff does not do it then Grenell will release the materials:
Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell has sent a letter to chairman Adam Schiff notifying him that transcripts of all 53 interviews, over 6,000 pages in all, have been cleared for public release. "All of the transcripts, with our required redactions, can be released to the public without any concerns of disclosing classified material," Grenell wrote to Schiff in a letter dated May 4.

After a monumental compensatory and punitive damages jury verdict in favor of Gibson's Bakery and its owners against Oberlin College and its Dean of Students, the college launched a public relations campaign claiming, among other things, that the Gibsons really were racist even though the jury found the accusation of racial profiling false and defamatory. For those of you new to this issue, see the following posts regarding the post-trial public relations campaign:

Thousands of health care workers headed Cuomo's call for help and volunteered to go to New York to help amid the COVID-19 pandemic. New York was hit particularly hard. Now, those that spent more than 14 days in the Empire State will be required to pay state income tax, even if they're being paid by entities in other states for their work in New York.

Former presidential candidate Andrew Yang challenged New York's decision to cancel its Democratic primary, scheduled for June 23. The state chose to do so because it's obvious former Vice President Joe Biden will win the nomination and the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, which has ravaged the state. Judge Analise Torres ruled that New York must have its Democratic primary, finding the cancellation unconstitutional, and it must include "all qualified candidates."

The Washington Free Beacon reported that back in 1991, presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, then Delaware senator, opposed a procedural motion that would have created a Senate office to handle sexual harassment complaints. Former Biden staffer Tara Reade alleges he sexually assaulted her in 1993, two years after he opposed the motion.
