Belfast Assault Victim Suffers Life-Altering Injuries as Police Charge Suspect

PRIORITIES: British Labour Party slams Elon Musk for his post in support of the demonstrations in the wake of the brutal attack.

We have been following the fallout from the video of a Sudanese migrant in Belfast allegedly attempting to behead a local man in a violent knife attack captured on video.

The incident has sparked anti-immigration protests across Northern Ireland, with demonstrators gathering in Belfast, blocking roads, and setting vehicles on fire amid rising tensions.

The victim of this incident has been identified as Stephen Ogilvie, who has reportedly lost his left eye and suffered severe injuries to his face as a result of the brutal attack.

Stephen Ogilvie, thought to be 44, suffered injuries to both eyes after Sudanese migrant Hadi Alodid, 30, allegedly tried to behead him late Monday night, the Sun reported.

Barbaric video footage showed Ogilvie being pinned under the knifeman — with a horrified witness heard crying, “He’s trying to cut his head off. He’s slicing his head off.”

Ogilvie suffered serious injuries to his right eye and had deep slash wounds in his head, face and back, the hearing in Belfast was told.

Alodid was identified for the first time as he appeared in court Wednesday on charges of attempted murder and possessing a blade.

Ogilvie, who is reported to have moved to Belfast from Scotland, has been identified as a “vulnerable man” who lived close to the Sudanese attacker. It appears Ogilvie had learning disabilities and was hard of hearing.

Stephen, who is understood to have learning difficulties and was deaf in one ear, had been living in the same block of flats as the alleged attacker, though no motive has emerged.

One local said: “He’s a vulnerable person, apparently. He lives in the same flats as the man who attacked him. There’s a lot of information swirling around as to what happened. Nobody knows for sure why Stephen was attacked.”

PSNI Assistant Chief Constable Ryan Henderson described those who intervened as “heroic,” saying they had “saved the life” of the victim. He added: “I want to reassure the local community that we are treating this attack with the utmost seriousness.”

Meanwhile, Alodid is being held in jail after an appearance by video in Belfast Magistrates’ Court, after being charged with attempted murder.

He was also charged with threatening to kill a radiographer on the same day and with possessing a knife. Alodid refused legal representation through an Arabic interpreter and did not enter a plea.

…The suspect is a Sudanese national who entered Northern Ireland in 2023, applied for asylum and was granted leave to remain until 2028, a Home Office spokesperson confirmed to Newsweek. “Leave to remain” is the legal permission granted by the U.K. government that allows a non-U.K. citizen to stay in the country for a specific period.

“He entered the UK in 2023 and was granted refugee status the same year. The individual claims to have entered the UK via the Common Travel Area,” the spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, the British Labour Party is complaining about Elon Musk sharing posts about the protests, the two-tier justice system,  and the unbridled immigration system that was being planned. Talk about priorities!

Musk, a long-standing critic of the Labour government, said on his X platform ahead of the disorder: “Only by protesting REPEATEDLY and LOUDLY will there be any change!!” He had shared a post from far-right activist Tommy Robinson, listing dozens of locations where people could protest.

Labour Party Chair Anna Turley tore into Musk’s posts Wednesday, saying the tech boss doesn’t have to live with the consequences far away from Northern Ireland.

“It’s appalling. Anyone that is seeking to drive and exploit a situation like this to drive their own political agenda is grievously wrong and doing damage,” she told LBC Wednesday. “We’ve seen children, families having to flee their homes on the streets of Belfast last night.”

…Turley also told Times Radio Musk “has a responsibility … to call for calm and not stoke grievance.”

No wonder Labour was trounced in the last election cycle.

As the protests and complaints about the demonstrations ensue, it is good to be mindful that at the center of this situation is the victim, a vulnerable man whose life has been permanently altered by an act of extreme violence.

While debates over immigration policy, public safety, and political responsibility continue to intensify, they risk overshadowing the human reality of this event.

Ogilvie’s severe injuries and long recovery underscore the stakes of ensuring both community safety and the protection of those least able to defend themselves.

The British politicians who are calling for calm and deriding those who shared the attack video would do better if they paid attention to the demands for immigration reform and non-race-based justice from their own citizens. Until they do, I suspect the demonstrations will get larger and the anger more intense.

Demonstrations like this are the voices of the ignored. When left with no choice, they will take it. Counter attack with whatever means you have and make them spread. It is now or never.

And, this poor guy is hearing-impaired. Now, he’s suffered another major disability. The victim was helping his assailant move into a dwelling — how evil do you have to be, to attack someone who is assisting you?

“Stephen Ogilvie, thought to be 44, suffered injuries to both eyes”
“Ogilvie suffered serious injuries to his right eye”
“Stephen Ogilvie, who lost his left eye during Monday’s”

Draggiest “48 hours to slow the spread of kneejerk journalism” I’ve endured this year.

Like all animals, this one chose to prey on the weak and defenseless. There is… there can be only one response to rabid animals…

As I am certain their are migrants who are pro-social and haven’t hurt anyone (yet) I am doubly certain that we have not seen the last of gruesome attacks like this.

We need vetting. We need deportations. And we need to hold the politicians who forced this evil upon us either accountable or over a ledge.

“Nobody knows why” “The motive is unclear”

Sure, whatever, guys. Go ahead, walk on eggshells, be sure not to offend anyone. Throw people in gaol for insulting the Great Religion of Peace. What’s the worst that could happen?

There’s bound to be consequences when you let third-world animals invade and flood your country. Whoda thunk?

Problem is the people responsible for unbridled invasion by hostile swarms suffer no consequences whatsoever… only the plebs.

In a discussion group tonight I heard that the victim, Olgivie, had helped the attacker move into his (attacker’s) apartment if true, we need to stop accepting this behavior by those who refuse to understand American culture.

We don’t need no immigration…we don’t need no thought control.

This will keep happening until those who do this are overwhelmingly given back what they dish out.

“no motive has emerged.”

That is one of the dumbest things I have read. Follower’s of Muhammed have no business in Europe and the America’s.

This is what is happening in all western countries that have had the Left open them up to third world illegals. Worst of all these illegals have been given free benefits that citizens do not get and have broken down the culture of the western country they live in. If this does not change soon I expect the fighting in Belfast will be a start of what will become massive in all western countries as citizens have reached their tipping point.
