When it comes to Joe Biden’s eventual running mate, Kamala Harris has drawn the most speculation from pundits, but former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice is a very real possibility.

With two former members of the Obama administration on the ticket, this would definitely be like a third term for Obama.

Rice has some weaknesses. Her insistence that the Benghazi attack was caused by a YouTube video is a liability, as is her possible involvement in the Russia collusion hoax, but she would still be a serious contender.

Tucker Carlson recently talked about this. From FOX News:

As of right now, Susan Rice appears to be in the lead for the VP slot. That’s an interesting development.

Say what you will about Susan Rice and we’re about to, but she is not a buffoon.

Susan Rice is smart. She is hard-eyed. She is experienced.

Susan Rice knows exactly what she wants and she understands the system well enough to get it.

She is a threat.

So what exactly does Susan Rice believe? Well, in a sentence, Susan Rice believes what everyone else in permanent Washington believes. Because above all, Rice is a product of D.C. She grew up there.

So to our political class, Rice is the opposite of an outsider. She’s the home team. Like almost everyone in Washington, she is above all, a fervent neocon.

As a member of Obama’s cabinet, she pushed for the counterproductive killing of Muammar Qaddafi in Libya.

She has never apologized for that. She should…

Here’s her reaction to the administration’s plan to remove troops from Syria.

RICE: I woke up this morning to hear that news, and as I do, it seems like six days a week, I just put my head in my hands. This is [bleep] crazy.

Oh, yes. It’s crazy. It’s almost unbelievable.

It’s crazy to bring troops home from a country that we have no strategic interest in, who are there to fulfill a mission we can’t articulate. That’s crazy. But that’s a consensus view in Washington.

When the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was destroyed in 2012, Rice herself said something that was actually crazy.

She blamed that attack on an online video.

Watch Tucker’s monologue below:

It looks like Rice is open to the job:

And she’s on board with the left’s new narrative:

If Biden chooses Rice, her status among media types will rise to ‘rock star’ status overnight.

It’ll be something to behold.

Yeah, but who’s really going to be running things?

What is her position on Federal taxes and spending? In addition to being a Washington insider’s insider, she can’t point to ANY executive or legislative experience.

If Rice is selected you can expect pretty much everything she says and does to be an appeal to black supremacy. That will thrill white Communists.

I thought Kamala was the sleeper….

Oh, she was not sleeping…she was….OH….

Never mind…..

Her greatest “strength” is that she can lie with a straight face as well as anyone who ever lived.

Actually, that is her only qualification.

With Biden, BLM, antifa and our corrupt media, that is the only qualification she needs.

“Her insistence that the Benghazi attack was caused by a YouTube video is a liability”

To whom? I dislike her intensely but the media will make sure no one cares. Does this move votes? No. I hear this over and over from analysts and wonder – what are they thinking? The ones who care about Benghazi are already voting Republican.

“ as is her possible involvement in the Russia collusion hoax, “

For Dems, this is an asset. She is shielded from investigation as a candidate once this happens as the media goes all in on the investigation being a political witch hunt.

Rice puts an Obama insider on the ticket who doesn’t have dementia. It’s a positive.

For the average voter the impact of Rice on the ticket is different IMO than everything analysts have been pushing.

The weakness is she is a neocon and is part of the swamp. That resonates more.

How did that shielding work out for Candidate Trump?

And the fact she blamed Bengazi on a video matters to plenty of people. If she’s prepared to lie about the deaths of American citizens what else is she prepared to lie about that isnt nearly so serious?

Maybe she’ll be indicted as soon as it’s announced she’s on the ticket.

Or will Barr continue to snooze?

This would be a weird pick if it comes about. Rice’s lone “signature issue” is national security, an issue that is little more than an asterisk in polls of voters, and one on which she was completely wrong about. It is not economic issues where she could point to prior experience, nor legislative or executive experience.

She is 0bama’s ultimate sleeper. She’ll continue his legacy.

Isn’t Obama still pulling the strings? This leads to Rice.

The media will treat her as a female Obama, though he is more the consummate actor from his youth, and she has not written a novel about herself.

Once Biden crossed the bridge to having decisions made for him, the Obama grasp took hold. Would an independent Biden have embrace Sanders and the Squad, or drifted to the center?

Obama believes the call of socialism will work. Calling America racist and playing on the fears of people to grab power. However, has Obama ever been right? Or has he needed to get what he wants by deception and abuse of his power?

Trust the people to see what is happening before their eyes come November, especially blacks, more attune to the race hustle. As the Democrats continue, their fakery and cynicism, magnified by the same from the press, will be too much to for the public to ignore. Who wants leaders that are wrong about most everything yet think they are right, and will use coercive means to prove it?

Rice would further Obama and his legacy more because she is of the same mold and participated in the abuse they now seek to hide. Feeling bad for Biden that he has become subject once more to Obama.

Of course it will be Rice. The Obamas have won the behind the scenes battle between them and the Bernie Bros, and if Biden wins (OMG) they will have another 8 years to try to ruin this once great nation. Not for nothing is Obama the only ex-Pres who did NOT leave DC when out of office, and he now lives just up the street. How convenient.

For Dems, this is an asset. She is shielded from investigation as a candidate once this happens as the media goes all in on the investigation being a political witch hunt.

Maybe not prosecute Rice, but her name in in the middle of all the rest. It’s going to be impossible to report any of this without the public understanding Rice is involved. Of course others pointing out her pivotal roll will sink her.

I would not be shocked if Rice is the VP pick. Biden isn’t making the choice, The real power of the DNC is who is going to make the pick.

Rice is a big part of the cabal. Her “by the book” memo was to give cover for the coup, for the lies and omissions to what President Trump was told. She is a central figure. Putting her in the slot will have the Marxists saying she can’t be investigated, just like they are doing with Biden.

Kamala doesn’t bring much to the campaign. She didn’t do well in her own campaign, doesn’t bring in black voters, and she is from California which is all set for any Democrat in the race. If Rice doesn’t take herself out of contention, which it doesn’t sound like she is at this point, I would be surprised if she isn’t named. She is inner circle Obama regime. She lies well for idiots who pay little attention to current events. A true disciple of Duh One. Having a path to becoming President without working for it is right up her alley too.

Rice is a policy wonk. Not a good one, but still a policy wonk.

Policy wonks don’t bring out the crowds on election day. So, not obviously a useful choice for VP.

She might bring a slight gravitas to a senile old poot’s administration, but that was what Biden was supposed to do for President “Present”‘s administration, and we all remember how that worked out.

Oh please let it be Susan

“to our political class, Rice is the opposite of an outsider. She’s the home team. Like almost everyone in Washington, she is above all, a fervent neocon”

Our current political class has to be one of the worst in history. What goes for leadership is weak. I wouldn’t follow any of them across the room.

2smartforlibs | August 7, 2020 at 6:24 am

You pretty well know its got to be a regime member for VP.

In other words, it would be like having uber-neocon Dick Cheney president again. The GOP establishment would like that.

Off topic but huge Trump victory yesterday in TN Senate race. Bill Hagerty soundly defeated RINO favorite Manny Sethi to replace retired uber-RINO slithering weasel Lamar Alexander. I’m looking to see who McConnell. He’s been wreaking havoc in the House on a few Trump candidates, something that never seems to be reported. McConnell is fighting Trump in the trenches.

Susan Rice should never be mentioned w/o a reminder that in 1994 she told Clinton we should not call the massacre of Tutsis in Rwanda “genocide,” because then people would ask Why aren’t we doing something about it? A million died before it was over.

Empty head and an empty soul… perfect pair for the totalitarian marxists who are actually calling the shots

The pick comes down to Rice or Whitmer, and I still think that Whitmer is better for the prospect of winning the election. The Democrat’s best show is to make the election only about COVID, and if that is their choice the VP must be Whitmer or Cuomo – and Cuomo isn’t a woman (although they could put him in a dress).
