House Republicans Back Resolution to Censure Rep. Schiff
“He has repeatedly shown incredibly poor judgment. He has persistently and consistently demonstrated that he has such a tremendous bias and animus against Trump that he will say anything and accept any proffer of even bogus evidence to try to remove the president from office.” — Rep. Andy Biggs
135 Republican Congressman have co-sponsored a motion to censure Rep. Schiff, Chairman of the House Intel Committee and Russia conspiracy monger supreme, for “his “parody” reading of President Trump’s July phone call with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky during a hearing last month,” reports Fox News.
From Fox News:
The resolution to censure Schiff — who has become a favorite target of Republicans for his role in the Trump impeachment inquiry — was first introduced late last month by Rep. Andy Biggs, the Arizona Republican who chairs the conservative House Freedom Caucus, and has the support of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., and House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., among other ranking Republicans in the lower chamber of Congress.
Democrats have the majority and control the floor in the House, but Republicans could still attempt to force a vote on the matter.
“Schiff simply does not have the gravitas that a weighty procedure such as impeachment requires,” Biggs wrote in an opinion piece for Fox News. “He has repeatedly shown incredibly poor judgment. He has persistently and consistently demonstrated that he has such a tremendous bias and animus against Trump that he will say anything and accept any proffer of even bogus evidence to try to remove the president from office.”
Fox News has requested comment from Schiff’s office.
Last month, Mary blogged about the fake quotes Schiff used:
As if we did not need more proof that the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump is insincere from the Democrats.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, the king of hyperbole, began the hearing with DNI Director Joseph Maguire with fake quotes from the phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
…Schiff previously described the phone call as a mafia-like shakedown and “far more damning” then he could possibly ever imagine.
The transcript did not show any of that. It told the story of Trump showing support for Ukraine as it still battles a war with Russia in the east.
Schiff has a habit of voluntarily stepping in it, as our previous coverage illustrates:

Only 135? Why aren’t ALL Republicans signing off on this? Little has changed with these spineless polymorphs.
They’re as corrupt as schiff.
It would appear there is more sacks of Schiff than just the one.
Quite right – there are 197 Republicans in the House and probably some Democrats who are facing tough re-election campaigns in Trump districts.
Just think if the tables were turned and the D’Rats were the supporters of such a motion. The D’Rats would be unanimous, except for a few with express permission to bail in order to preserve their seats. Bolsheviks don’t tolerate internal dissent or non-cooperation. But the Republicans, on the other hand, even with respect to such a meritorious motion, feel free to balk for whatever venal reason they may be hiding; they know there will be no price to pay for their disloyalty. Heck, the D’Rats and Corrupt Media will probably call them “statesmen.”
The Republicans are invertebrates, with a few rare exceptions.
There is no such thing as “the Republican Party”. The only time they ever do anything as a party is to elect one bad Speaker after another. Then they wait for the that Speaker to cut deals with the Dems which they then provide just enough votes to hand Democrats another victory. The “gang of ###” gangsterism.
Censured?
He needs to be Expelled!!!!!!
Any takers for bets that Schiff has gotten a lot of Ukrainian money too?
Lot of dems have taken money from the Ukraine.

Remember Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s business partner? He had previously been a top fundraiser for John Kerry, who was Secretary of State at the time. And soon after Devon and Hunter joined the Burisma Board, the company channeled $90,000 to a lobbying firm called ML Strategies, which was headed by none other than David Leiter, John Kerry’s former chief of staff.
That’s handy because then-Secretary of State John Kerry himself has visited Ukraine with promises of U.S. aid and assistance. Well, Leiter registered as a Burisma lobbyist in mid-2014. But in the year leading up to that, he gave close to $60,000 to Democrats, including a select group of U.S. senators who would later be instrumental in pushing cash towards Ukraine’s energy sector, directly in line with Burisma’s interests.
He donated to Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., four times and to Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., three times. A month after the last of those donations, both Markey and Shaheen were among four senators who wrote a letter to President Obama that said, “We should leverage the full resources and expertise of the U.S. government to assist Ukraine in improving its energy efficiency, increasing its domestic production and reforming its energy markets.”
This was at a time when Democrats were waging a war on fossil fuels, opposing fracking, and trying to shut down U.S. energy production. American natural gas was bad for the environment, but Ukrainian natural gas was good for the campaign coffers when it involves Hunter Biden’s business interests and John Kerry’s former chief of staff. As Hilton points out, Sen. Markey’s hypocrisy runs particularly deep:
Sen. Ed Markey was the Senate sponsor of the Green New Deal! He wants to shut down gas production in America. Yet he personally intervened with the Obama administration to send your tax dollars to boost Ukraine’s gas production. And not just once.
Not only did he write that letter to Obama, but he sponsored multiple pieces of legislation that called for more U.S. assistance and aid specifically to help Ukraine’s natural gas sector, including one that “directs the Overseas Private Investment Corporation to prioritize support for investments to increase energy efficiency, developed domestic oil and natural gas reserves and develop renewable energy sources in Ukraine.”
Schiff has been super skeevy on the entire impeachment circus from day one. It’s only right he should be censured for it, though watch Pelosi quash it like the good little pol she is.
skeevy. That is a word I learned as a freshman in college in upstate NY, and seems to be a regional word. Thanks for the memories!
(in Italy, I learned that “scifo” means “gross” so I am guessing it was imported with the Italian immigrants in the area)
#1 9 is right on. Who can say with a straight face this POS has run his responsibilities….errr…responsibly and honestly? Secret depositions that only allow him and his cronies to leak selectively

YEEESH!! Not this kabuki again! Congressional Republicans used to regularly vote to repeal Obamacare. But they spectacularly whiffed when they had the actual votes to do it.
had the votes? America, can thank the “faux” Republicans, John McCain, & “Romneyites”….{ not “really” Republicans…..but “swamp dwellers”, on the wrong side!} The Republicans, are “not” united…..but they had better “GET UNITED”, before it’s too late!
First it is a good thing that most Republican Representatives would dare vote against what the Democrats want. It cannot be depended on, and disappears if somehow the Republicans get the majority, but it is not as bad as we have learned to expect.
Second, as noted, there is no chance of a censure against Schiff being passed, let alone an expulsion. With or without a Republican majority.
Third, Democrats view his lack of judgement and bias as positives.
This is going to have zero effect on Schiff’s re-election. BUT, Schiff can be used as an example of what Democrats are like in Trump’s nationwide campaign, and as an example against any Democrat where Trump goes to help Republican [and hopefully conservative] Representative candidates in the putative 2020 campaign.
Subotai Bahadur
Schiff, has worked ardently, toiled endlessly, worked so hard for “CENSURE”…….NOW, GIVE IT TO HIM!
This Creep, has little or nothing to say of any consequencce! He lies, distorts, prevaricates, & is a total waste of skin! *Typical Libretard, no?
Just more gawddamn talk.
