REPORT: Schiff Knew of Whistle-Blower Accusations Before Complaint Was Filed

Schiff denies he met with the so-called “whistle-blower” before a complaint was filed.

Wednesday, the New York Times reported that Rep. Adam Schiff, the House Intel Committee Chairman who beclowned himself repeatedly in the Trump/Russia conspiracy mongering, had knowledge of the whistle-blower’s concerns about Trump’s conversation with the Ukrainian president before an official complaint was filed.

From the NYT:

The Democratic head of the House Intelligence Committee, Representative Adam B. Schiff of California, learned about the outlines of a C.I.A. officer’s concerns that President Trump had abused his power days before the officer filed a whistle-blower complaint, according to a spokesman and current and former American officials.

The early account by the future whistle-blower shows how determined he was to make known his allegations that Mr. Trump asked Ukraine’s government to interfere on his behalf in the 2020 election. It also explains how Mr. Schiff knew to press for the complaint when the Trump administration initially blocked lawmakers from seeing it.

The C.I.A. officer approached a House Intelligence Committee aide with his concerns about Mr. Trump only after he had had a colleague first convey them to the C.I.A.’s top lawyer. Concerned about how that initial avenue for airing his allegations through the C.I.A. was unfolding, the officer then approached the House aide. In both cases, the original accusation was vague.

The House staff member, following the committee’s procedures, suggested the officer find a lawyer to advise him and meet with an inspector general, with whom he could file a whistle-blower complaint. The aide shared some of what the officer conveyed to Mr. Schiff. The aide did not share the whistle-blower’s identity with Mr. Schiff, an official said.

Schiff denies he met with the so-called “whistle-blower” before a complaint was filed. The NYT report seems to back-up Schiff’s claim. Having knowledge of an incident and meeting with the individual bringing a complaint are different. I’m sure we’ll learn more in the coming days.

That said, advance knowledge gave Schiff a leg up in planning the dog and pony impeachment show that has become our national shame du jour.

The White House responded:

Sorry, but Schiff has lied repeatedly, with his track record of lies told I wouldn’t trust him in telling us his name without lying.
When his eyes are bugging out he is lying.

they may not have talked with Schiff for Brains, but they have admitted that the leaker contacted them first, long before they went to the IG, so they are just parsing words, not being honest.

that also means the leaker is NOT a whistle blower, and is not entitled to any protections under that law.

This report might explain why Nancy Pelosi announced the House majority’s “impeachment inquiry” before the complaint by the (so-called) (self-styled) whistleblower released. It’s reasonable to conclude that she knew its substance or contents and that, to her, it was explosive enough to justify announcing the impeachment effort.

What a despicable little bug-eyed prevaricator.

Notice him saying “I never MET the whistleblower” – that’s legalese. He can say “now did I talk with him on the phone? Oh lots of times! and we emailed a lot today!!! But I was always careful to walk out of the room before he walked in to talk to my staffers, so I never actually “met” him.

    I’m not joking.

Andy Kaufman didn’t die, he assumed a new character and is now playing the role of House representative.

“I can unequivocally state that neither any member of the legal team nor the whistleblower has ever met or spoken with Congressman Schiff,” @MarkSZaidEsq, one of the attorneys representing the whistleblower, tells me”

1) Notice they didn’t say they haven’t been in COMMUNICATION with him. They just said they haven’t ‘met’ or ‘spoken with’ him. There are literally a dozen different ways to communicate that don’t involve direct meetings or phone calls.

2) They said CONGRESSMAN SCHIFF. Not ‘anybody from Schiff’s office’. ‘Congressman Schiff’.

What a fucking weasel.

“The early account by the future whistle-blower shows how determined he was to make known his allegations that Mr. Trump asked Ukraine’s government to interfere on his behalf in the 2020 election. ”

They write this as if it’s established fact. Investigating Biden is “interfering with an election” . Apparently this is a horrendous offense. So by that definition, using the US House to investigate Trump is interference in the 2020 election and the Democrats are committing a horrendous crime.

Such a splendidly punchable face.

Wait a second…Putting aside the apparent underhanded actions by Schiff, there remains the consequences that should visit this so-called whistleblower. An unauthorized disclosure to Schiff’s staff (unauthorized in the sense of violating the statutory requirements and presidential directives) would deny this whistelblower/leaker any protections offered by the statute, even if this were a legitimate complaint under the facts and law (which it is not). Frankly he should be fired and prosecuted.

What if they gave an Impeachment party, and no one came?

    Thanks for the link to:

Ukraine Launched July Probe Of Military Hardware Sales By Adam Schiff Fundraiser

“On Sunday 29 September, a theme was going viral on social media that a Ukrainian-American arms merchant, Igor Pasternak, has held fundraising events for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). Some other allegations about Pasternak – e.g., that he is closely tied to George Soros – don’t seem to have a paper trail that could be verified with online research. But the report that Pasternak has done fundraising for Schiff is documented.

Although the widely-cited 2013 fundraiser was in Washington, D.C., Igor Pasternak’s company headquarters is in Montebello, California, on the east side of Los Angeles. It’s near Schiff’s CA-28 congressional district, which lies to the north of it and encompasses major suburbs like Burbank and a chunk of Glendale….”

Concerned about how that initial avenue for airing his allegations through the C.I.A. was unfolding, the officer then approached the House aide.

Any functional organization would immediately terminate an employee who so casually blew off official channels.

What a friggin’ shock.

It’s almost as if President Trump has deployed spies to spy on the #Resistance spies!

Do the Schiffs of the world really think the whistleblower will be able to remain anonymous throughout the whole process? Prove to the world that he exists by producing him now because it’s starting to look like Schiff wrote it himself.

So we are supposed to believe Schiff now? Why?

He lost any confidence in a thinking person years ago, while the impeachment addled leftist might still think he’s honest, the rest of the world says no.

“I can unequivocally state that neither any member of the legal team nor the whistleblower has ever met or spoken with Congressman Schiff,” @MarkSZaidEsq, one of the attorneys representing the whistleblower, tells me.

And yet this statement does not preclude any other liaisons, including other attorneys, serving as an intermediary between these two parties. Strong-sounding statement that does not hold up to much scrutiny.

by “knew of” what they really mean is “collaborated with”.
