Vandals Deface Charlie Kirk Memorial, Cross Out Jesus

Vandals Deface Charlie Kirk Memorial, Cross Out Jesus

Photos showed red paint running down the statute of Charlie Kirk on his neck and chest. A large memorial display behind it was also defaced.

The new Charlie Kirk memorial at Turning Point USA’s Phoenix headquarters lasted three days before somebody decided even a statue of an assassinated conservative was too much to tolerate.

The eight-foot bronze statue, unveiled Thursday to mark one year since Kirk was murdered, was found Sunday morning covered in red paint. Vandals painted an X across Kirk’s face, sprayed red paint around his neck, and defaced a nearby religious memorial. Phoenix police confirmed officers responded to reports of vandalism and were investigating. No suspect had been identified as of Sunday afternoon.

The location of the paint was hard to miss. Kirk was shot in the neck while speaking at a college event in Utah on Sept. 10, 2025.

Apparently, that wasn’t gruesome enough for whoever showed up at TPUSA headquarters overnight.

Photos posted by Turning Point Action Chief Operating Officer Tyler Bowyer showed red paint running down the statue’s neck and chest. A large memorial display behind the statue was also targeted. The display read, “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus, our loving Savior.”

Bowyer did not bother dressing it up.

“This isn’t the country we want to live in,” he added. “Arizona is not Gotham.”

That should not be a controversial observation.

The vandals even crossed out “Jesus.” Bowyer said it appeared they wrote “Satan” over it.

Charlie Kirk’s murder was already an act of political violence. One year later, somebody went to the headquarters of the organization he founded, found a memorial to him, painted the spot where he was shot, and scratched out the name of Jesus.

Bowyer later said police were investigating and that TPUSA would begin cleaning the memorial once officers released the scene.

TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet struck a different tone, saying the organization would pray for whoever was responsible.

“The vandals doing this in the middle of the night only underscores something we’ve sadly come to understand in a whole new way. Evil never sleeps. But God is in control, and we’ll pray that whoever did this is held accountable and comes to know Him.”

Republican Rep. Abe Hamadeh (AZ-8) called the vandalism “truly abhorrent,” slamming the vandals as “intolerant and militant.”

“The young people who work at Turning Point don’t deserve this, Charlie’s family doesn’t deserve this, his friends don’t deserve this,” Hamadeh wrote.

The statue, created by artist Quintin McCann, contains a cross, Kirk’s wedding ring, a TPUSA hat and a shirt bearing the word “FREEDOM.” Bowyer said Thursday that the Phoenix location was temporary before the statue is moved to its permanent home.

The vandalism follows several grotesque reactions from social-media users who made posts celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death on its anniversary.

It took vandals less than 72 hours to get to it.

UPDATE: Several hours later, they cleaned the memorial.

Once again, The Enemy is on the attack.

Now if they did something like this to a George Floyd memorial, the perpetrators would be sought by a nationwide manhunt and prosecuted as if they had actually murdered someone, rather than vandalism..

And don’t ever cheer his death (the way they do Charlie Kirk’s) or your life is over.

Vandals is one thing, but hate filled radicals who are glad you’re dead is another.

This is Arizona. TP should have engaged some Rooftop Paintballers. There would be free volunteers.

Masterful swipe at California… I have to wonder if there is a more appropriate target for “most antisemitic state” — Michigan? Minnesota?

Continuing proof that there is no possible reconciliation between Left and Right. There will be war. Bet on it. Be prepared.

Are you telling me there is no spotlight on the statue and no cameras focused on it?

Young voters should wake up and reconsider their “preference” for communism/socialism. You see, youth, you will go along with that until, heaven forbid the commies win. Then watch you credit disappear, your property, empty food shelves in the stores, the plumbing never gets fixed, your car will have last 20 years – the list is endless.

Without freedom of thought and speech, freedom dies along with capitalism. You will regret it and you will be stuck in it. Wake up.

They won’t reconsider because they never considered in the first place. Communism is both religion and identity, especially in the modern (2020s) sense. It’s LARPing. The vast, and I mean VAST majority of these kids know next to nothing about it. They might have read a little Marx, they understood none of it, and they know nothing of the history of communism. It’s a t-shirt to them, a little ☭ they can put in their social media name/bio to show everyone how progressive they are. Their desire for communism is backed by nothing more than a vague hatred for capitalism even as they indulge in it, and when confronted by their hypocrisy they simply don’t care. They don’t believe that anything you mention will happen because the idea of empty shelves isn’t something they can comprehend.

I think what we’re seeing is the result of miseducated generations that simply lack the knowledge and critical thinking tools to understand opposing arguments. When they’re spoonfed communist propaganda they have no way of fighting back. Not all, of course, because communists are far from the majority. But enough that it’s a definite concern.

Young voters will “wake up” the day their iPhone screen goes black. Only then will they wake up and start screaming.

Phoenix apparently has it’s own enlightened progressive voters.

Phoenix is the second-biggest* progressive hive in the state, next to Tucson, and slightly ahead of Flagstaff. You may recognize those three cities as the locations of our three state universities.

WIth Kate Gallego (Ruben Gallego’s ex-wife) as mayor.

Stupid satanists will be the first against the wall, if commies or moslems take over. Useless idiots.

Make your lists.

When the time comes….
know where your targets are

Just in case you’re not convinced this is a battle against demonic forces.

Demons and tards run rampant. Sad times…

When putting something like that up, even on a temporary basis, they should have expected something like this to happen, and had cameras and motion detectors in place, with rapid response at the ready to catch the perpetrators red-paint-handed.

The point of a high trust society, behavioral social contracts, and enforcement is that you don’t have to protect your stuff yourself. HUGE opporunity cost to having to protect that yourself. We’ll even put up with police policing for that.

See, for example one of Hand Rosling’s talks, and … that Scotsman who went emperical on the out of poverty / stuck there sort. Societal drivers of economic progress measured by income per capita, and QoL, via UN data:

>> Property rights

>> Rule of law — common law vs. regulatory

>> Free markets

People free to do the next thing, can do that next thing. Stuck guarding their last thing, that’s all they get. If you’re stuck guarding yr shack roof, you can’t do more. Or catalytic converters in the first world.

It goes the other way too. Take dysentery lettuce. We put up with these “authoritahs” because they help us not not die of salad. I don’t wanna hear shzz happens. I wanna hear how much less bad it went because of you. If it’s gonna be bad anyway, we can have that without paying you.

“There is no B3 bomber.” “Well, if you don’t know about that; what good are you?”
