WNBA Still Cannot Define Female

WNBA Still Cannot Define Female

Instead, the WNBA task force will hold more meetings because it is just so difficult to define female!

https://twitter.com/EnesFreedom/status/2085772139869696032

The WNBA task force met to define female.

Yeah, they emerged with no answer and a schedule for more meetings.

Excuse my language, but what the actual f*&!? It makes me angry that I’m not even shocked that the task force couldn’t define a female.

Instead, the task force denounced “the bad-faith efforts to use these topics to demean or marginalize others.”

Yeah, they obviously aimed that statement at the former NBA players who declared themselves prospects for the WNBA draft.

The discussion began after Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham said that males should not play in female sports or enter female locker rooms.

“I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think with that love is truth, being honest,” she told ESPN for a July 21 article. “And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men.”

Cunningham stood by her remarks when asked about them a few days later: “I said what I said.”

Fever coach Stephanie White didn’t help, though, when she used the same excuse as Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson when asked about males in female sports: “I don’t know that I would say that I’m educated enough from a scientific standpoint. I don’t ever believe that exclusion is an answer. I just don’t.”

Everything escalated when former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom declared himself a WNBA prospect.

Former NBA player Royce White joined Freedom, saying he would only back away if the WNBA decides no males can join the league.

The idea of two males in the league must have the ladies scared because they know what would happen. Everyone knows what would happen. Those males would dominate the league and possibly injure the female players.

Besides, Freedom and White’s decision is no different than most of these supposed “trans” athletes we see around the country. Nearly all of them became “trans” after they failed in the male category.

Those males know males are built differently from females and have many physical advantages. They know they can defeat females.

For the love of everything holy. We separated physical-based sports based on sex to ensure fair competition and safety!

Call it the VNBA and the problem is solved.

The WNBAy would be better start if they addressed the hate and vitriol on the floor (and probably locker rooms) within their own teams as well as the vicious players who attack those who are either better or look different from the majority.

A shameful and sick group of “leaders.”

The league is full of black and lesbian players who hate anyone white and/or heterosexual. Many of them are thugs or at least act as ghetto thugs. Many of them also have poor basketball skills. The league really didn’t deserve to exist and wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the NBA throwing money there way.

ztakddot in reply to ztakddot. | August 13, 2026 at 11:49 am

Oh I should add the coaches and at least some of the owners are no different than the players so there should be little surprise at how the players act. There is no downside.

Girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice.

Good on the NBA players for taking this road. More should do it.

I’m convinced that if men (all the way down to high school) just stepped up and outflanked these twits to the extremes of their own dystopian logic, it would put a quick end to all of this.

When the entire podium is male… and males doing it to prove the point, This charade ends.

amatuerwrangler in reply to Andy. | August 13, 2026 at 1:30 pm

I think Clay Travis took this approach. He said he would create an “all-trans” WNBA team. He said it would win all its games “700 to nothing” …. That last may be a bit of over stating (that’s over 300 successful “3s” per game –is a game long enough for that?) but certainly illustrative of the point.

RITaxpayer in reply to Andy. | August 13, 2026 at 1:33 pm

“Good on the NBA players for taking this road. More should do it.”

I want to see Shaquille O’Neal come out of retirement, join the WNBA and play in one of those ‘break-away’ shirts Hulk Hogan wore. He could play assist guy for half the game and after he gets fouled in the second half he becomes ‘Shaq Monster’ and just dominates in his half ripped up shirt.

    I might watch that.

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson when asked about males in female sports: “I don’t know that I would say that I’m educated enough from a scientific standpoint. I don’t ever believe that exclusion is an answer. I just don’t.”

The questioner should have then asked if her “Lived Experience” as a girl, woman, wife, mother of daughters, and human being didn’t give her any insight into this question.

She’s not educated enough, period.

Why not just ask the WNBA what criteria they used to fill their current roster?

Can not define it? Dare not define it. Their own self inflicted struggle session.

SeiteiSouther | August 13, 2026 at 10:40 am

And, of course, leftists upon hearing this flip their shit. They can’t stand the fact that they have to live up to their own set of rules.

It’s all fun and games being woke and spouting off nonsensical gibberish and word salad phrases to appease the leftist wokiesta mob ….right up until someone calls your bluff and demands access using the same amorphous gibberish definitions. Then things get very serious very quickly as attorneys prepare legitimate lawsuits filed to ensure equal access under these woke policies. In parallel to the legal liability they create if they refuse entry to the WNBA draft (no definition of woman or trans = no basis to exclude) they also risk the fury of the leftist wokiesta mob if they refuse entry b/c they’ve set a fixed realistic definition of woman and trans. Either way it is gonna be a hoot to watch the WNBA try to navigate out of the ideological culdesac they constructed.

We are all missing the real point. All this is tremendous click bait. The WNBA is getting more attention and views, by far, than before.
The whole “professional wrestling” industry (WWE?) is built on contrived feuds, bad calls, etc. It is what makes the industry.
Not to say that having a few Freedom men in the league is possible. Freedom may be somewhat over the hill but he was a legit NBA center. A women’s team with him on it wins by 100 pts.
I love it.

mailman in reply to lichau. | August 13, 2026 at 11:45 am

I dont think this level of attention is the kind of attention that makes the administrators of that league comfortable. Its a level of attention being shined on them that is very unconfortable beccause its forcing them to become defensive. Everything is defensive.

lichau in reply to mailman. | August 13, 2026 at 4:22 pm

It may not make them “comfortable”. It shouldn’t since it makes them look like idiots.
However, they have made enough distribute revenue sharing for the first time ever. Team valuations have gone from tens of millions to hundreds of millions.
They may be uncomfortable, but they are cashing the bonus checks, you can be by sure.
“Make sure you spell my name right.”

henrybowman in reply to lichau. | August 13, 2026 at 12:10 pm

But those sorts of clicks don’t put a penny in their pocket. Looking forward to seeing them humiliated on the courtroom floor doesn’t make me one iota more incented to follow the trash action on the ball court floor.

lichau in reply to henrybowman. | August 13, 2026 at 4:29 pm

I am using “clicks” generically. Attendance, ticket prices, etc. are way up. League is making money for the first time ever.
You may not be incented to watch. I might not be either. Speaking for myself, if professional sports depended on me, they would be in a world of hurt.
The combination of a white girl super star and this general kerfuffle has been a big windfall, financially. Tune in to see the big black lesbian foul the white superstar.

henrybowman in reply to lichau. | August 13, 2026 at 6:06 pm

Ah. So your argument is that this is really a “pro wrestling” franchise complicated by the annoying presence of a basketball bouncing around the ring.

My point is that the WNBA is a business. Businesses exist to make money. The WNBA is in the black for the first time ever.
No, I don’t believe they had a focus group that told them to stir up a racial tinged WWE fake, or real, “war”. And, I am certain that most involved are embarrassed. Not embarrassed enough to shut it down—which they could in a heartbeat. It is bring in revenue, big time.
In fact, I would guess there are conversations along the lines of: how do we keep the attention/revenue and return to sanity? This isn’t sustainable unless we want to become the WWE with “a basketball bouncing around the ring.”

inspectorudy in reply to lichau. | August 13, 2026 at 5:35 pm

They had their attendence doubled by Catlin Clark and did not need a new source. This is hurting them badly and making them look like the fools they are. Just open an old Webster’s dictionary and look up the word “Woman” to see what it means!

A WNBA task force convenes a task force to define “woman.” That would be The WNBA – W as in WOMEN’S. Perhaps they should have thought about convening this task force before launching and naming their league. Sports fans might have been spared this embarrassment.

CountMontyC in reply to Concise. | August 13, 2026 at 1:59 pm

When the WNBA was formed anyone seriously suggesting that a man could become a woman simply by declaring themselves such would have been laughed at to the point of humiliation. Even the claim that surgery could turn a man into a woman then would have been roundly mocked.

      Capitalist-Dad in reply to CountMontyC. | August 13, 2026 at 2:43 pm

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, THIS IS A JOKE—NOT A SERIOUS DISCUSSION!!!! The NBA vets are just funning around rubbing the WNBA’s nose in its ridiculousness! Women’s basketball, even with Caitlin Clark playing real basketball is still a money losing hobby farm of the NBA. Back when the WNBA was formed, the mere suggestion that the league might have to define the word woman would have provoked riotous laughter and ridicule. Useful idiots of the left are so stupid, they think it was some sort of oversight, and all the “news” talking heads report as if it is. There’s no response to this level of pure asininity except ROTFL.

henrybowman in reply to CountMontyC. | August 13, 2026 at 6:08 pm

“anyone seriously suggesting that a man could become a woman simply by declaring themselves such would have been laughed at to the point of humiliation.”

Until it actually somehow became popular… now all the OTHER people are laughed at to the point of humiliation.

Hey, I think we’re getting closer to defining women… because this is exactly how women act.

CommoChief in reply to henrybowman. | August 14, 2026 at 9:44 am

Well many, but not all.women. There are some women who’ve had someone tell them NO and/or set boundaries and they’ve had to learn that behaving like a spoiled brat/child/mean girl doesn’t work. If you’re the first to do so and blow up their pretty privilege/girl boss BS the sight of their mental recalibration is something to behold as they realize their bag of tricks is ineffective. Body cam video of entitled women behaving badly on a basic traffic stop and refusing to cooperate (I don’t have to give DL, just write me a ticket, I don’t have to get out of the car, I won’t sign the ticket, call your supervisor, I ain’t doing anything till the supervisor arrives, I don’t wanna talk to you, I feel unsafe) are a great example of the phenomenon and a source of genuine amusement.

The world is just ridiculous

The inmates really are running the jail

I understand it being a complicated issue in the school system. But for adults? We exclude people for practical reasons all the time. Grow up.

ztakddot in reply to rickcheese. | August 13, 2026 at 11:52 am

It’s really not a complicated issue. A 5 year old in the movie kindergarten cop summed up who is a boy and who is a girl quite succinctly.

New official name: TNBA

Here’s a crazy thought: What if there already ARE men in the WNBA?

janitor in reply to JohnC. | August 13, 2026 at 1:46 pm

Brittney Griner. “5-alpha reductase deficiency” is a hormone deficiency that impedes the fetal conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), thus impairing the development of male sex organs. When born, they may look female; later, the testosterone in their bodies does facilitate the development of male physiology and post-puberty, a degree of male secondary sex characteristics.

“…the bad-faith efforts to use these topics to demean or marginalize others.”

The WNBA’s “good-faith efforts” in support of the potential for accepting trans players doesn’t also “marginalize others”? I would argue that the marginalization of others occurs regardless of the intent of those doing it. Harm is harm, whether or not there are bad intentions.

“The WNBA task force met to define female.

Yeah… have you ever read articles about the different ways men and women operate in the workplace? This is a classic summary of it. The women work on achieving “consensus,” and failing that, wall the objectors off into unpopular social cliques. Conversely, the men take concrete steps to get stuff done.

And when the environment gets feminized enough, men get “reported” as “hostile” for saying “just get it done.”

Problem #1: Brittney Griner.

American Human | August 13, 2026 at 2:05 pm

So Stephanie White, who is the WNBA Fever coach said,

“I don’t know that I would say that I’m educated enough from a scientific standpoint….”

Well, I would say that 99.9% of children from age 4 on up are educated enough to know what a woman/girl/female is.

She is just plain stupid then.

Sounds to me like they should enact the clay Travis Clan and have the Nashville Balls, and all tranny Squad that will never lose. See how they like that

To be fair, the WNBA also has issues with identifying simple assault, and assault and battery.

The WNBA’s rhetorical defense calling it “bad faith” and a “stunt” may work in a public relations statement, but will not protect them in court.

If this reaches a federal courtroom, it becomes a major legal precedent with significant consequences.

SomewhereElse | August 13, 2026 at 4:14 pm

Indiana Fever should be the first to draft both men. I’m certain Cunningham would actually live having them on her tram just to prive a point.

The Solution is simple.

Allow the men to enter the WNBA, but have them all play exclusively on one newly created team.

And with Mamdani so strongly believing in so-called “trans rights”, the team should be based in New York:

The HAREM Globetrotters

And these are the clowns who want to be “paid what [they’re] worth.” I agree. They should be paid exactly what they’re worth. Start by cutting their current pay by about 75%.

Can’t or won’t?

It would be great if these two former NBA players are just trolling the WNBA to show just how crazy it is to let men compete against women.
Expose the lengths people will go through to justify their position when clearly all evidence is against them. They just can’t let go. Not only that, if you disagree with them you are a (insert bad work here)!
Degrade your opposition while lecturing how virtuous you are. Tiring.

“Everyone knows what would happen. Those males would dominate the league and possibly injure the female players.”

No, what would happen is there would be an NBA and an NBA, Jr. All men. And maybe that’s not a bad thing.
