Sen. Darline Graham Nordone Will Seek a Full Term to Succeed Brother Lindsey

“I’m in.”

Sen. Darline Graham Nordone (R-SC) told Sean Hannity that she will enter the Republican primary and seek a full term to succeed her late brother Lindsey.

Graham Nordone took over Lindsey’s seat last week after he suddenly passed away on July 12.

Over the weekend, President Donald Trump encouraged Nordone to run for Lindsey’s seat.

Nordone and others can start filing to run in the special election on Tuesday, and it closes a week later.

The primary special election is scheduled for August 11.

Lindsey’s funeral and memorial services will take place on July 28 and 29.

I cannot find anything on Nordone’s positions. I’m going to guess that Nordone shares similar views with Lindsey. As soon as I can find more information, I will add to the piece.

Yeah me now we can find out what she actually stands for not that it matters to certain people it would seem.

Interesting

Odds of a woman and a man sharing views are zero.

No. Just no.

How about no? Heck no to anymore Spouses, Siblings Children, Nieces/Nephews of dead politicians seeking their office? Heck no to anymore family political dynasties.

I thought I understood the move to let her finish up LG’s term, sort of a nod of respect to LG, and while initially the nepo angle bothered me, I went with the good vibrations flow. But this? Her qualifications are that her brother was a senator? And we have no idea what her positions are? What if she’s another Collins? Surely, a candidate with sterner stuff can be found. Now I’m back to my initial position. Trump should have kept his mouth shut–I know–and out of SC politics.

Well, that’s why there’s a campaign. SC voters will have time to find out what her positions are, and decide whether to vote for her. No one is forcing them.

Hey, at least she’s entering a primary.
Not being anointed, like Kamala.

Whatever, anyone can “run” but in the interest of decency, use you own name, whatever your last name may be.. But please, don’t give Nikki Haley any disgusting ideas. She’s nasty and I hope to never see her name again..

Has Foghorn Leghorn started to make noises and steal melons, yet? Clyburne has to be near death by now but a hideous tribute that he might run on Trayvon’s Team.

uh, why

I’m curious who get’s Lindsay Graham’s campaign warchest now that he died suddenly?

The campaign is a corporate entity which is still functioning, and still owns all its assets. It just no longer has a candidate to support. It’s up to the campaign committee to decide what to do. It can donate some of that money to Darline’s campaign, if it likes, but only subject to the same limits as any other donor. Or it can make an unlimited donation to the RNC or to the National Republican Senate Committee, which in turn can use the money to campaign on Darline’s behalf. Or it can probably just campaign on her behalf itself, even though it’s not her official campaign.
