Fetterman Slams Mamdani Over Netanyahu Arrest Threat

Democrat Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania is not a fan of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Last night during an appearance on the Hannity show on FOX News, Fetterman tore into the mayor over his ridiculous talk about arresting Israeli leader Netanyahu in New York.
Fetterman suggested that Mamdani might want to spend more time filling potholes, but the best part was when he identified the real reason Mamdani doesn’t like Netanyahu.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) on Wednesday called New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) a “clown” for floating the idea of arresting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes allegations.
“You are a mayor, dude,” Fetterman said about Mamdani in an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity. “You’re a mayor. You can fix a pothole. You can take out the trash. But you can’t order people to arrest anybody any more than I could, or, you know, I could have him arrested if he goes to Pennsylvania.
“It’s a joke,” Fetterman added, “and he’s a clown.”
The Pennsylvania Democrat, who has become an increasingly strong supporter of Israel in the years since the start of the country’s response to the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack, said Mamdani should “sit down,” accusing him of pandering “to the fringe.”
“And I know you’re angry at Netanyahu because he killed a lot of people you admire, whether — like that Sinwar, or Nasrallah or Khamenei in Iran,” Fetterman said, referring to former Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip Yahya Sinwar, former Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

I do not agree with Fetterman much when it comes to domestic policy, but in recent years I have grown to respect him.

Fetterman is amazing. The democrats have to be seriously thinking of primarying him the next time he is up for reelection. If only Jews like Shapiro and Shumer had a tenth his balls and confronted the islamic rot in their part also. I’m not holding my breath for that to happen.

Don’t kid yourself. When it comes right down to it Fetterman is a dyed in the wool democrat and toes the democrat line and votes the democrat agenda every time. That he’s allowed to say these things by the democrat leadership is just an attempt by them to distract the voters from the real issues plaguing the United States. Nothing more.

“Exploring” is a nothing word. He didn’t need to be told, he already knew. But it costs nothing to “explore”. It’s like Trump saying he’s “exploring” the possibility of a third term. “Hey, legal adviser, is there any way I can get a third term?” “No.” “Okay.”
Mamdani saying things that demonstrate his lack of understanding re international law and US Law are one thing. Even if he’s doing it with full knowledge his public position is untenable to score points with radicals that’s …ok, stupid, but ok

Yes indeed. Given recent history of lefty mobs, assassination, political violence, antisemitic violence and general ‘resistance’ to the rule of law I find it difficult to accept that those who argue the opposite are acting in good faith.
He didn’t say anything about violent protests. He called on people to protest. What’s the difference between you interpreting that as a call for violent protest, and the Dems’ constant interpretation of Trump’s call for a protest at the Capitol on Jan-6-2021 as a call for violent protest? Why is it illegitimate for Dems to do that to Trump’s words, but OK for you to do it to Mamdani’s words? In both cases “protest” means “protest”.

Maybe Fetterman should run for President in 2028. He’d be the one semi-sane person in the Dem’s primary and might actually do fairly well in South Carolina.
