Henry Nowak Killing Highlights Two-Tier Standard on Identity, Policing, and Justice in Britain
Stabbing death of the 18-year-old at the hands of a Sikh falsely claiming racism, and Nowak’s subsequent handcuffing by the police as he lay dying, only received attention once Elon Musk began sharing the news on social media.
In a Britain still reeling from fierce political battles over immigration and identity that essentially saw the gutting of the woke Labor Party, the killing of 18‑year‑old student Henry Nowak has become a flashpoint in the debate over what kind of country the United Kingdom is becoming.
In December of last year, Nowak was fatally stabbed in Southampton by 23‑year‑old Vickrum Digwa with an eight‑inch ceremonial Sikh knife. When the police arrived on scene, they accepted the attacker’s claim that he was the victim of racist abuse, and handcuffed the gravely wounded teenager as he bled to death.

Video from the scene, which has sparked fury in the UK, shows Henry Nowak, 18, repeatedly telling police officers “I can’t breathe” after being stabbed with an 8-inch blade in an unprovoked attack in Southampton, England, according to authorities.
His killer, 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa, falsely claimed that Nowak had racially abused him, with cops taking the murderer’s side when they arrived.
“I’ve been stabbed,” Nowak pleads with officers as they put him in handcuffs, to which a heartless cop replies, “I don’t think you have, mate,” according to bodycam footage released by the police with permission from his family.

As a reminder, the UK has very restrictive laws on carrying knives in public and an outright ban on certain categories like machetes, flick knives, and similar weapons.
Knives are the murder weapon of choice in the UK. And despite sensational headlines about zombie knives and machetes, the most popular knife by far for murder in is the pointed kitchen knife.
In England and Wales in the last year, it was used in more than half of murders where the type of knife was known, compared with 4% for zombie knives.
But Sikh ceremonial knives are given a pass.

This story was essentially smothered by the elite media. However, in the wake of the trail, tech billionaire and SpaceX founder Elon Musk spent several days sharing posts about the slaughter, the “arrest”, and the developments in Great Britain in the wake of this young man’s tragic death.
Subsequently, there has been a growing outrage at the double standards of justice employed and the complete ineptitude of the British police force. In fact, it is through Musk’s posts that I first became aware of this case.
The tech billionaire, 54, has retweeted several posts which have criticised both Hampshire Police as well as the press for an alleged lack of coverage regarding Mr. Nowak’s murder on December 3, 2025.
Earlier this week, Vickrum Digwa, 23, was found guilty of murder after stabbing the university student to death with an eight-inch ceremonial knife as he walked home from a night out in Southampton.
During a trial at Southampton Crown Court, a video was played to the jury where Digwa could be heard telling his victim, ‘I am a bad man’, to which Mr. Nowak replied: ‘Are you a b…’, before the footage cut off moments before the fatal attack.
The Sikh killer lied to police, launching false allegations of racism against Mr. Nowak, which resulted in police arresting the mortally wounded teenager as he died from his injuries – drowning in his own blood.
The 23-year-old murderer also told the court a ‘wicked lie’ claiming he had acted in self-defence against the university student, alleging Mr. Nowak had hurled a racist insult towards him, knocked his turban off and struck him.
But his bogus claims were rejected by the jury, who later found him guilty of the unlawful killing of the ‘kind, intelligent and talented’ 18-year-old Southampton University student.

As the Nowak family grieves, the police force responsible has only recently issued a weak apology.
The student’s family called his treatment by police “inhumane and degrading”. Hampshire police has apologised.
Henry’s older sister, Olivia Nowak, called her brother, from Chafford Hundred in Essex, her “best friend” and said they had “an unbreakable bond” in a statement she read out in court about how his death has changed her life.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Donna Jones said: “It was a stressful situation, but mistakes were made and that needs to be uncovered. My job is not to be here to defend the police, my job is to ensure the police are doing what they should be doing.”
The hapless Prime Minister Kier Starmer, meanwhile, maintains his immigrant-oriented priorities.

Henry Nowak was 18 years old and celebrating the end of his first semester of university when his life was shamefully snuffed out.
That a murderer’s lie was taken at face value, that officers snapped handcuffs on a dying teenager rather than rendering aid, and that an establishment press looked the other way for months, speaks to something deeper than a single failure of policing: it reflects a culture that spent years conditioning institutions to treat an accusation of racism as settled truth, and to discount the humanity of the accused.

The guilty verdict, the bodycam footage that shocked the world, and the outrage that finally could not be contained have together forced a reckoning Britain’s ruling class would have preferred to avoid.
Henry Nowak should not be allowed to die in vain. His death must mark the end of an era in which any person could be stripped of their right to life, dignity, and basic decency simply because someone with a grievance and a lie chose to weaponize the politics of race against them.

I wonder what the Sikh community thinks of this. The kirpan is carried so the Sikh is always ready to defend the innocent. What this Sikh did seems a form of blasphemy.

We have the same double standard here in the US. Despite all the gaslighting and eyewash by Donald Trump and Pam Bondi about how the Second Amendment is “not a second-class right,” some people get to carry weapons where other people cannot based entirely on the FIRST Amendment, while the Second gets face-stomped into irrelevance.
Now me, I’m a communicant of the Church of Jeff Cooper of Satter-Day Sharpshooters. Our catechism begins with our spiritual leader’s observation that “Blessed are those who, in the face of death, think only about the front sight.” Attempt to disarm me at the peril of your eternal soul.
Like the government they serve, the British police are a disgrace.
For those of you that haven’t (or can’t) watch the footage, there’s some points that were left out here:
1) Henry immediately and REPEATEDLY tells the police he has been stabbed. They do not even attempt to check AT ANY POINT.
2) Not only do that not check, but in response to him saying he has been stabbed, one of the officers LAUGHS and says, ‘no, I don’t think you have been, mate’.
3) At no point in the entire saga is Henry capable of standing, yet the police STILL do not check for injuries, and in fact, HANDCUFF HIM while he is lying on the ground incapable of standing
4) They stand around ‘investigating’ the RAYCISM claims instead
5) They ASK THE MURDERER if he has been injured, he tells them he is ‘bruised over one eye’, and they START CHECKING AND TREATING HIM, while Henry lies on the ground bleeding out
6) Again, without even bothering to check, they START READING HENRY HIS RIGHTS. While the murderer stands free watching.
7) Henry finally falls unconscious as they are doing that, one of the cops says he is unresponsive, and magically the body cam footage cuts out.
These police went far beyond incompetent. This is absolute criminal behavior, they not only refuse to investigate claims that are immediate and life threatening, they automatically accept the word of a murderer with ZERO investigation or thought, don’t render any aid, don’t call an ambulance, and start treating the ‘injuries’ of the murderer as the victim literally dies in front of them.
This is everything the left lied about George Floyd being.
And oh by the way, this happened a year ago, and ALL of the cops were still on the force, until one of them finally resigned the day the footage was released. The others are still active on the force with zero consequences.
The police force thought they could lie and keep the footage hidden.
Forget prison or criminal charges, they wouldn’t even reprimand the officers involved here.

The policewoman can be heard saying that if he says he’s been stabbed we have to check. And they do seem to check but don’t find the wound.

I’ve only read the text, not seen the video itself, but you apparently missed a few bit:
Nowak was apparently dragged over the driveway by police before his arrest.
When Nowak said he couldn’t breath, after saying he’d been stabbed, police asked if he’d been stabbed in the face. When his killer, or the killer’s family, insisted he hadn’t been stabbed, police said they had to ask, but there was no evidence they treated it as serious rather than a joke.
Nowak was unconscious, or dead, by the time they got around to reading him his rights.
Only once a policewoman noticed his pupils were unresponsive did they radio for an ambulance for a guy apparently beaten up.
I actually don’t think the police were incompetent. I think the police did exactly as they’d been taught – arrest the White perp, respect their non-White betters, only ring for support when a ‘minor’ health issue arises.

This is such a sad story and shows the “sucess” of the evil ideas of Ibram Kendi and his “antiracist” ilk that racism must be corrected through more racism. Well more racism just leads to more deaths and violence, and that should have been obvious all along.
Why would Britainistan’s police consider a stabbing when an invading migrant’s feewings might have been hurt?
On what basis does the writer claim that the accusation was false? Digwa tells the police that Nowak pulled his turban off his head, and slightly injured his eye; the fact that he is seen on the camera bareheaded is strong evidence that he was telling the truth.
That doesn’t justify defending himself with deadly force, but many commenters here on LI would disagree with that, if the victim were white and the attacker Moslem.
As for Sikhs being allowed to carry their kirpans when others are not, making special accommodations for the free exercise of religion is a fundamental part of the US legal tradition and culture, as well as that of the UK. The Supreme Court has repeatedly affirmed that legislatures are allowed (but not required) to make such accommodations; RFRA and its state equivalents require them to be read into all legislation unless it explicitly says otherwise. Banning others from being armed violates the RKBA, but the exception for Sikhs doesn’t violate any legal principle. It’s no different from the exception Prohibition made for sacramental wine.

Strong evidence?
1. Absence of headgear? Dude is perfectly capable of removing his headgear to sell his victim narrative. The absence of his head gear is evidence of jack squat other than he ain’t wearing it at the moment.
2. A bruise? Given that one party claimed to be stabbed it would seem probable that a knife range the guy claiming to be stabbed would have made contact in attempting to fend off a knife wielding attacker.
Finally religious accommodation is no more important than accommodation for any other sincerely held belief. If I declare myself to be an adherent to the religion of the revolver and the High Priest/founder then I want accommodation to carry a S&W model 19 .357 mag on my person wherever I go regardless of location and of course it must be loaded and no whining about a couple of speed loads to go with it. As I recall Christianity started small as well so no BS about ‘oh that’s not a real religion, or not a widespread religion or not a recognized religion’.

Digwa said he was scared because it was the “first time anything like this had ever happened”. He alleged that Nowak had earlier threatened him with racist remarks and then began recording him. In his account,
after being taunted, he grabbed the phone and a fight broke out,
during which Nowak said “I’m going to kill you”. Digwa said he acted in self-defence. He further testified that his mother and father arrived at the scene and took the knife back to their home. Defence barristers told the jury they had to consider whether Digwa had acted “in the heat of the moment”.[23][12]

Please note that contrary to what this LI article suggests, and what some comments have said, it wasn’t a kirpan used in the killing. In addition to the ceremonial kirpan, Digwa carried and used a larger blade called, from memory, a shastra. After the killing his family (mother?) attempted to hide the murder weapon, but it was discovered after police actually started doing their jobs – sometime after their arrest of the murder victim and his death in their custody.
