Patel: FBI Investigators Uncovered Who Funds Antifa

FBI Director Kash Patel told Dan Bongino, his former co-deputy, that the agency uncovered who funds Antifa.

Patel did not release any details or names, though.

Patel said:

We’re going to look at the facts that exist. We’re not going to try to make up facts that don’t so we can serve a political narrative. And wait till you, and I know you know this, but wait till you see what’s coming in the next month or two on the funding streams related to this. You and I had launched a serious investigation. We had said, these organizations don’t operate alone, don’t operate in silence. They operate with a heavy, heavy stream of funding. And we started looking into it. And guess what, Dan, we found them.

The FBI has been investigating whether Antifa received any money from nonprofit groups, even those with tax-exempt status.

Patel formed a program dedicated to investigating violence at protests.

Patel brought up the ongoing federal case against nine people in Texas accused of ambushing and attempted murder of ICE employees on July 4.

We’ve covered Antifa since 2016, which has popped up around the world.

The far-left group always seems to pop up at violent protests.

President Donald Trump declared Antifa a domestic terrorist organization in September 2025.

“Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law,” wrote Trump. “It uses illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide to accomplish these goals.”

Antifa became a household name during President Donald Trump’s first administration, especially in Portland and Seattle.

Independent journalist Andy Ngo consistently faced Antifa’s wrath.

In 2018, Antifa thugs assaulted Ngo by spitting on him and hitting him.

In May 2019, Ngo posted a video of a man assaulting him and stealing his phone. He said he recognized the man from other Antifa protests.

Another attack happened a month later, leaving Ngo bloodied and bruised.

“On [the] way to [the] hospital,” Ngo posted on X at the time. “Was beat on [the] face and head multiple times in downtown in [the] middle of [the] street with fists and weapons.”

There’s so much more, though. The White House provided details of the many Antifa attacks when Trump made his declaration.
