Patel: FBI Investigators Uncovered Who Funds Antifa

“We had said, these organizations don’t operate alone, don’t operate in silence. They operate with a heavy, heavy stream of funding.”

FBI Director Kash Patel told Dan Bongino, his former co-deputy, that the agency uncovered who funds Antifa.

Patel did not release any details or names, though.

Patel said:

We’re going to look at the facts that exist. We’re not going to try to make up facts that don’t so we can serve a political narrative.

And wait till you, and I know you know this, but wait till you see what’s coming in the next month or two on the funding streams related to this. You and I had launched a serious investigation.

We had said, these organizations don’t operate alone, don’t operate in silence. They operate with a heavy, heavy stream of funding. And we started looking into it. And guess what, Dan, we found them.

The FBI has been investigating whether Antifa received any money from nonprofit groups, even those with tax-exempt status.

Patel formed a program dedicated to investigating violence at protests.

Patel brought up the ongoing federal case against nine people in Texas accused of ambushing and attempted murder of ICE employees on July 4.

We’ve covered Antifa since 2016, which has popped up around the world.

The far-left group always seems to pop up at violent protests.

President Donald Trump declared Antifa a domestic terrorist organization in September 2025.

“Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law,” wrote Trump. “It uses illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide to accomplish these goals.”

Antifa became a household name during President Donald Trump’s first administration, especially in Portland and Seattle.

Independent journalist Andy Ngo consistently faced Antifa’s wrath.

In 2018, Antifa thugs assaulted Ngo by spitting on him and hitting him.

In May 2019, Ngo posted a video of a man assaulting him and stealing his phone. He said he recognized the man from other Antifa protests.

Another attack happened a month later, leaving Ngo bloodied and bruised.

“On [the] way to [the] hospital,” Ngo posted on X at the time. “Was beat on [the] face and head multiple times in downtown in [the] middle of [the] street with fists and weapons.”

There’s so much more, though. The White House provided details of the many Antifa attacks when Trump made his declaration.

Here are a few more:

  • In January 2021, an Antifa supporter threatened to shoot police officers and Trump supporters outside the Florida State Capitol. The suspect was tied to the Radical Left’s violent protests in Seattle’s “autonomous zone,” which resulted in several deaths.
  • In August 2020, a self-identified Antifa member shot and killed a Patriot Prayer supporter during a riot in Portland. The suspect was later killed after he brandished a weapon while law enforcement attempted to apprehend him on murder charges.
  • In 2020, Antifa terrorists designated a substantial portion of the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle as a so called “autonomous zone,” taking it over and enacting its own delusional structure of self-governance. This led to violent clashes with police and multiple deaths and injuries.
  • In July 2019, another self-proclaimed Antifa radical attacked an ICE facility in Tacoma, Washington. The “known anarchist” was heavily armed and attempted to ignite a 500-gallon propane tank; after he ignored commands to drop his weapon, he was killed by police.
  • In 2017, Antifa radicals threw rocks at police and attacked the attendees of several conservative political events at the University of California, Berkeley. In one instance, the violence caused the police chief to order his officers to evacuate a park while under siege.

Just ideas don’t need funding. Fasicts do.

Where the wheels will come off the bus is when a local chapter of Antifa with a dozen unpaid volunteer thugs discovers their ‘leader’ has received a few hundred thousand in taxpayer money and has not passed that tempting flow of cash into their greedy hands.

I always thought the rule of thumb is if you were making credible progress on an investigation you didn’t say anything so as not to provoke evidence disposal, flight, etc

And you announced stuff only when you had nothing to see if you could bluff someone into reacting

Otherwise you let the indictments and takedowns do the talking

I am old school I guess.

Well, there’s another old-school technique where you still need more info to make the bust, so you spook a principal under surveillance to see where he runs or who he calls.

Me, I just remember that this is the same FBI who couldn’t be bothered to track down some very curious orders for pallets of half-bricks for four whole years. Then I realize that these bent arrows are the only tools Patel has in his quarrel in the first place, So I’m not expecting much.

While I do appreciate a little bit of foreplay, I’m getting tired of “We know so much! We discovered so many hidden things! You’ll be amazed!”

That’s great, but show me actions. It doesn’t have to be prosecutions. Show me audits. Show me pulled licenses. Show me fines for acting as unregistered foreign agents. Show me the freezing of assets.

Well, I won’t be satisfied until I see them investigated, indicted, perp-walked, jailed, bailed, tried, convicted, sentenced, and then stuffed into the same kind of cages the non-violent J6 protesters were put in.

Given the current environment and the squishy GOPer’s and RINOs, that just ain’t-a-gonna happen.

What this needs, though, is more than an “investigation”, or even arresting some financiers. What this needs is the sort of thing the CIA used to do – some morning, financier X wakes up dead. Then financier Y. A few AntiFa types are gunned down in a street somewhere, and nobody saw nuthin. It needs consequences that are dire “pour encourager les autres.”

Otherwise, the organizations will continue and more cutouts will be built, and this carp will continue on, harming our nation and its people.

Show me actual consequences. Then I’ll be impressed.

Yep. The Trump Admin intentionally appointed media savvy people to the cabinet and agency head positions. That’s a very important part of successfully operating in the modern media landscape where social media, blogs and pod casting are more prevalent.

The problem is delivering ‘the goods’ after the big media release/teaser. All this ‘own the libs’ nonsense is fine for a rando on X or Insta/TikTok but at some point there’s gotta be follow through with real-world consequences. Let ‘Libs of TikTok’ own the libs on social media and lets get the folks in positions of power to use that power to deliver results.

If the funding is coming from overseas (Canada, China, elsewhere) I suggest the CIA be empowered to permanently remove the funders. Whoever they are they are committing an act of war whether they are state players or not and should suffer the consequences.
