Venezuelans Celebrate Worldwide After Trump Removes Illegitimate Maduro From Power

“Do not for a moment let your hatred and disdain for Donald Trump have you defending the dictator of my country, which was destroyed by [Maduro] and [Hugo] Chavez and their system 20 years ago.”

While TDS-afflicted Democrats here in the United States and dictatorial regimes in Russia, Iran, and China melted down over the Trump-authorized removal of Venezuela’s illegitimate president, Nicolas Maduro Moros, from power, Venezuelans worldwide, including many here in the U.S., took to the streets to celebrate Maduro’s ousting.

Excitement was clearly in the air, for instance, in South Florida, which has a large Venezuelan population:

Revelers chanted “liberty” and draped Venezuelan flags over their shoulders in South Florida on Saturday to celebrate the U.S. military operation to capture Nicolás Maduro and remove him from the country — a stunning outcome they had longed for but left them wondering what comes next in their troubled homeland.

For some Venezuelan natives, the military action — culminating months of stepped-up U.S. pressure — brought their dreams of reuniting with loved ones closer to reality after years of heartbreaking separations.

In New York City, Venezuelans clearly didn’t get the Mamdani outrage memo and launched street celebrations:

Over 100 revelers flooded Times Square Saturday night to celebrate the Trump administration’s stunning overnight operation that captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Tores.

The raucous crowd were waving Venezuelan flags while singing and dancing as a large sound system blasted Latin American tunes.

“We are celebrating because the drug-trafficking dictator is gone,” Augusto Maillet, 45, told The Post.

“We are so grateful to President Trump for arresting Maduro. There have been too many deaths, too many arrests, and too much drug trafficking.”

[…]

Saturday’s party ignited around 6 p.m., shortly after the ousted dictator and his wife touched down on New York soils to face narco-terrorism charges in the Southern District of New York.

On the other hand, there was also this:

But the anti-Maduro crowd wasn’t having it:

They were also cheering in countries like Chile, Peru, and Spain:

Venezuelan migrants around the world erupted in celebration on Saturday following the US-led deposition of President Nicolas Maduro, whose government oversaw one of the world’s largest migration exoduses in recent history.

Chants celebrating Maduro’s capture were heard in the streets of Chile’s capital, where Venezuelans gathered to share their joy.

[…]

Since 2014, some 7.7 million Venezuelans, or 20% of the population, have left the country, unable to afford food or seeking better opportunities abroad, according to the UN International Organization for Migration.

[…]

In Peru’s capital Lima, dozens of Venezuelans gathered, many wrapped in their country’s flag, to mark Maduro’s deposition.

[…]

In Spain, thousands of people gathered at central Madrid’s Puerta del Sol and applauded as they watched Trump’s press conference live.

Venezuelan journalist Germania Rodriguez Poleo also weighed in:

“Do not for a moment let your hatred and disdain for Donald Trump have you defending the dictator of my country, which was destroyed by [Maduro] and [Hugo] Chavez and their system 20 years ago. We Venezuelans are very, VERY happy that our dictator has been arrested, removed, and will be put through a trial. It’s the first time we’re seeing justice in 26 years! Now let’s hope they get all of those criminals out of Venezuela and then we can return home.”

Celebrating everywhere but Venezuela

I’m glad Maduro’s gone, but to keep things a little in perspective with respect to the celebrations of the expat Venezuelans around the world:

Hugo Chavez was elected by the Venezuelan people.

He was elected knowing he was a socialist and after having already served a prison sentence for attempting a Coup. Perhaps that should have been a clue that handing him the keys might not be a great idea?

Not only did they elect him, but he was very popular at first and he was re-elected several times. Maybe he rigged those elections but I doubt it because he was popular at first.

Why was he popular? Because he “nationalized” the oil companies, took the rich people’s money and ostensibly gave it to the people (which means he kept most of it but kicked back a little to the people to make them think he was being generous).

He was elected for greed and he was popular because he followed through on enacting that greed.

Of course, the inevitable result was the economy collapsed, the oil companies were barely able to maintain any production and Other People’s Money fairly quickly ran out.

He essentially declared himself dictator and named Maduro his successor to carry on his legacy.

I get that Venezuelans aren’t happy with what became of their country, but the bottom line is they did this to themselves. Envy and greed are not the basis for good government.

Maybe they’ve learned the lesson and can get their country back on track, but I’m not going to hold my breath. The siren’s song of taking from the rich to give to the poor is as old as time and so, so tempting.

That’s the entire basis of communism and socialism and, no matter how many times it is tried, it is doomed to failure due to the immutable laws of human nature that, for some reason, the left cannot or will not acknowledge.

A true cautionary tale of woe.

Don’t forget that Joe Kennedy of the despicable Kennedy family was best buds with Chavez and bought his oil to distribute to low income families with his heating oil company here in the Northeast. That’s also former congressman Joe Kennedy otherwise known as the wizard of uhhs.

Now selling oil to low income at a cut rate is laudable but not when it is purchased from a dictator who nationalized his countries American build oil industry and not when you pay yourself and your wife a nice hefty salary.

My new Rosetta Stone of looking at political problems through criminal lenses is paying dividends.
Socialism will never die specifically because it is the political expression of the Nigerian Advance Fee Scam.
“Dear Friend, I have in my possession a large sum of money that belongs to a third party, which we can share together if you are willing to get your hands only a little bit dirty. But before I can release it to you, you must hold some signs, and (most importantly) vote! Can you do that?”

I bet you think Joe Biden was elected as well.

And that Al Gore was cheated by the Supreme Court.

The collective of protesting voices knows the world is a vampire, and I can see their fangs now that their countenance is twisted.

This is a very impressive meta compilation of worldwide enthusiasm for the ‘Donroe Doctrine.’

What a difference a year makes when the adults are in charge…

Meanwhile, the vile, stupid and evil Dhimmi-crat neo-communists/Islamofascists/Muslim supremacists, are all predictably and contemptibly lamenting the fall/demise of a vicious and corrupt dictator, who destroyed his country, killed hundreds of thousands of his citizens and impoverished a previously-wealthy nation.

The wretched Dhimmi-crats never met a totalitarian despot or terrorist — of whatever ideological flavor/persuasion — whom they didn’t attempt to whitewash, lionize, coddle, legitimize, kowtow to and otherwise enable.

The Dhimmi-crats are pure evil; Satan’s disciples.

Also notice how the same, utterly vile Leftists/Labour/Dhimmi-crats/”Progressives”/”Liberals”/”Democratic Socialists” who dishonestly and obsessively vilify Israel, 24/7, have nothing to say about Iran’s predominantly Muslim citizens rising up to protest and overthrow the evil Iranian regime.

No Kings! One just got taken down, and the chagrin is delightful!

His replacement, approved by Trump, sounds just as bad, but smarter. She will quickly tie up Trump in UN resolutions, Russia and China trade deals, and imported Cuban and Colombian mercenaries.
Trump is insane to believe a word this witch utters.

What makes you think that #47 or Rubio would believe anything that this woman says? Give these guys some credit; they are well-versed in realpolitik and aren’t naive and stupid, like all Dhimmi-crat presidents and advisors, since JFK.

gonzotx in reply to puhiawa. | January 4, 2026 at 12:33 pm

Rubio has already had a “talk” with her

    She will play

DaveGinOly in reply to gonzotx. | January 4, 2026 at 6:52 pm

All Rubio had to tell her was “Look at the US. There, politicians can make a very comfortable living while pretending to do well by the people. You can do the same here. Promote democracy and free markets, and opportunities will reveal themselves to your advantage. ‘Socialism’ isn’t necessary for you to remain personally wealthy.”

mailman in reply to puhiawa. | January 4, 2026 at 1:05 pm

She should pay attention to what Trump did to the previous guy.

Sanddog in reply to puhiawa. | January 4, 2026 at 6:01 pm

She will do what Trump tells her because he will constantly remind her she was appointed by a dictator who seized power, not the legitimate winner of the election. She is no more legitimate than Maduro and can be removed at any time. When the dust settles, expect her to either call for new elections or to quietly jet off to Moscow or Cuba. She will not remain in power long.

This article is worth reading:

It details the people and groups who have begun protesting. Many are in our country. There are enemies of the west and our way of life. Make no mistake. Any politician who takes their money is also an enemy and has to be continuously called out on it.

They’re all celebrating the newly discovered condition known as

Peace Through Strength, Bitches!

The Dems don’t have much to worry about. The Venezuelans will, no doubt, select a new socialist to rule the country.

    henrybowman in reply to Q. | January 4, 2026 at 2:57 pm

Maybe we can convince a whole bunch of expat Venezuelans here that their country needs them to go back and vote to prevent it happening again.

    ztakddot in reply to Q. | January 4, 2026 at 2:57 pm

I’m no expert in Venezuelan society but I recall it is divided according to the amount of European blood you have. Those with more are the “white Hispanics” and had most of the money and education and tended to control Venezuela pre-Chavez. Those with more Indian blood tend to be shorter, squatter, broader in face and lower is status. They occupy lower echelons of Venezuela society and are the ones who join trade unions, are socialists, and work jobs such as bus drivers. They were Chavez supporters and VP,

I think this is true throughout all of South and Central America, the Caribbean, and Mexico. This makes this a true class struggle based to some extent on racial makeup which aligns with Marxist theory as well as intersectionalism. It’s also what makes this entire area a powder keg and subject to rapid change from generation to generation as new generations forget the hard-won lessons of older generations due to lack of experience with socialism failures.

Anyway this is just my opinion based upon casual observation, Your mileage may vary.
