Mamdani Praises ‘Housing Justice’ Chief After Woke Tweets on Property Ownership Resurface

Mamdani Praises ‘Housing Justice’ Chief After Woke Tweets on Property Ownership Resurface

“Private property including and kind of ESPECIALLY home ownership is a weapon of white supremacy masquerading as ‘wealth building’ public policy.”

https://x.com/MrAndyNgo/status/2008085462544679221

From members of his transition team to his administrative appointees, Zohran Mamdani has made clear that a centerpiece of his agenda as the Big Apple’s mayor will be enacting his goal of “replac[ing] the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism,” as he indicated in his inagural address to New York City residents at the beginning of the year.

One of the ways the Democratic Socialist Party member seeks to do this is through the appointment of a housing woketivist by the name of Cea Weaver, whom he appointed to head the “newly revitalized Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants” on Thursday:

The revitalized Office to Protect Tenants will serve as a central coordinating body to defend tenants’ rights, stand up to landlords, and ensure city agencies act swiftly on behalf of renters facing unsafe or illegal conditions.

Weaver currently serves as Executive Director of Housing Justice for All and the New York State Tenant Bloc. She played a pivotal role in securing passage of the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019,landmark legislation that closed loopholes allowing landlords to dramatically raise rents and deregulate rent-stabilized apartments. A

As has been the case with others whom Mamdani has entrusted to carry out his utopian vision, Ms. Weaver’s social media history (or, as she might say, “herstory”) has been combed. Let’s just say that while none of it is surprising, it nevertheless serves as yet another reminder to the near 51% of those who voted for Mamdani that it’s too late to be careful what they wished for:

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s newly appointed tenant advocate called to “seize private property” and blasted homeownership as a “weapon of white supremacy” in a series of pro-Communist social media posts.

Cea Weaver, Mamdani’s new director of the city Office to Protect Tenants, made the statements and urged her followers to elect more Communists in several lecturing posts on her now-deleted X account that were unearthed by internet sleuths.

“Seize private property!” she said on June 13, 2018.

[…]

“Private property including any kind of ESPECIALLY homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy,” she said [in August 2019].

Weaver also pushed to “Elect more communists” in December 2017 — when a Harlem street corner was being renamed in honor of former Manhattan Rep. Vito Marcantonio, who was a Communist.

Here are some of the videos and tweets that have been unearthed:

In response to the reports about Weaver, Mamdani is standing by her – and why wouldn’t he? He expressed similar sentiments as an up-and-coming New York state assemblyman:

New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani touted his “end goal of seizing the means of production” during a 2021 Young Democratic Socialists of America conference.

[…]

“What I wanted to make sure to say is that when we-, when our position starts to change, when we start to accumulate power, when we start to elect individuals such as myself and my other slate mates into local office, we are started to be treated in a different way than we used to be. And the way in which power engages us now, it is very critical for all of us to remember what it is that we are fighting for, and to remember that our agenda is an agenda that must not be dictated by calculus, but by conviction,” said Mamdani. “And what I mean by that is that the many things that we believe, some of them are already popular in this moment. Right now, if we’re talking about the cancelation of student debt, if we’re talking about Medicare for all ,you know, these are issues which have the groundswell of popular support across this country. But then there are also other issues that we firmly believe in, whether it’s BDS, right? Or whether it’s the end goal of seizing the means of production, where we do not have the same level of support at this very moment.”

Needless to say, Weaver’s resurfaced remarks have again put the Mamdani administration on the Trump DOJ’s radar:

Former NYC Mayor Eric Adams, who took action in the final weeks of his administration to make life harder for Mamdani, also weighed in, and did not hold back:

Homeownership is how immigrants, Black, Brown, and working-class New Yorkers built stability and generational wealth despite every obstacle.

You have to be completely out of your f****ing mind to call that “white supremacy.”

That level of thinking only comes from extreme privilege and total detachment from reality.

These final thoughts from George Washington University Law School Professor Jonathan Turley on the matter are rather fitting:

Yep. Hey, 51% – we toldjah so.

Prediction: neither of these clowns will be on NYC’s payroll by 1/1/27.

Neither are intelligent enough to keep their mouths shut about their clearly illegal intentions.

Chilling words; even more chilling, the sheer economic ignorance of the voters.

Yes, an Office to Protect Tenants is ominous and that woman is scary, especially the eye rolling. But, who, in fact, is she? A nobody, known for zilch except her position on Commie Mamdani’s team. There also needs to be an Office to Protect Landlords when the tenants get out of hand.

Our federal govt. is going the same way. I do not know one person who, voted for them.
How can this end peacefully, in both countries?
I don’t care if it does not here in Australia.
Pat

These people who got themselves elected to the federal gov did so by people like them. The problem is the same throughout the Anglosphere. There is a very good chance that no peaceful end is possible in some of our countries. When these cultural Marxists fail they want more power to fail more. When good people finally get enough and revolt at the polls, Marxist street actors will take over to try and nullify the election results. Maduro-Vz for example.

This is great!! Barely a week in, and the communism is virtually DRIPPING from the Mamdani soviets!!!

Talk about a giant sh^^show that is going to be an epic advertisement for Republicans this upcoming election period, and likely several more, not that Commufornica, Chicago and Minnezuela aren’t plum enough!!

In the meantime, the NYers will be getting it good and hard. Good luck with that.

Now we are getting the back story eventually leading to “Escape for New York City”. How many Cuban advisors are on their payroll?

She probably watches the film ‘Dr. Zhivago’ and giggles all the way through. It’s amazing when a Democrat attains some power and is given a microphone, just how honest they can be. Bernie Sanders must be panting with delight.

I’m anxiously awaiting MadManny to takeover Trump Tower through eminant domain and paying the market value claimed by Tish! Perhaps it will make it to SCOTUS for them to finally -rightfully- say eminant domain is un-Constitutional (or, conversely, pave the way for future taking of private property to house people “for the public good”).

NYC’s Tenant Director, Cea Weaver:

“People like home ownership because they like control, which is rooted in a racist and classist society”

“This is why rent control is important”

So control isn’t bad per se but individuals having control of their lives is bad. Government having control of your life is good.
At least they aren’t being subtle.

White women like rent control because they like control, which is rooted in a racist and classist society.

Say NO to this White Supremacist Rooted in Slavery construct!!!

Pay attention to the alarm bells sounding softly at first. Communists in office now in NYC, Seattle and in the South (forget which city, Atlanta?). This is classic commie strategy — set up shop in strategic locations and then spread out.

Vocal fry and high rising terminal voice pattern in the extreme. This combination has a 100 percent correlation with idiocy.

Gonna be a hoot to watch this play out in NYC, at least for those of us outside NYC. Those in NYC and especially mom/pop landlords won’t find it nearly so entertaining.

It may be illegal and it may be uncivilized but some people really need a beat down.

I’m not bothered by the “white supremacy” label anymore, because I am quite willing to admit that western white culture actually IS superior.

Not positive that it has anything to do with skin color, but on the face of it, it certainly appears that way.

You will own nothing.
And you will be happy… or the beatings will continue.
((They’ll continue anyway))

Wow, big surprise that a communist would be in favor of thievery

At this rate, Mamdani will be bucking for a recall before too long. Even NYC voters will realize he is way too far off the rails. As Turley said, “the ultimate example of the young armchair communists coming out of our universities with little memory or understanding of past failures in socialist countries.”

Why is this white lady, so concerned about white supremacy, not giving her job to a POC?

Rules for thee but not meeee.

Besides being a women gives her 1 point on the oppression index

If she’s a lesbian she gets another point (don’t know),

Being stupid gives her at least a point.

So she is definitely more oppressed than any white heterosexuals who are at the root of all white supremacy.

It gets better and better! This B*tch lives in an upscale Brooklyn neighborhood. She went to Bryn Mayr. Her mother is a professor at Vanderbilt and owns a 1.6M property that she bought with her “partner”. You just can’t make this stuff up.

che came from a wealthy family and was a med student

the fact that a commie has great capitalist credentials doesnt deter their guerillas from keeping them in charge

we can laugh all day long at the hypocrisy but they are still out there committing genocide
