Media Drag Out Doctors to Diagnose Trump’s Health From Afar in Strangely Familiar Scene

“And as the address went on, his — the cadence of his remarks became quicker. And we’ve never seen the president, you know, like that. He seemed almost frantic. And it was disturbing to watch.”

Throughout Donald Trump’s first presidency, the same media that went on to ignore five years of clearly declining health from Joe Biden (including during his 2020 presidential campaign) trotted out an array of doctors and other purported “medical experts” to try to diagnose Trump’s physical and mental health from afar.

We also remember the ridiculous fretting in the Trump 45 era over President Trump once walking down a ramp slowly, as well as the bonkers spin surrounding him holding a glass of water with both hands at the same event in June 2020.

Here are some of the headlines we got at the time:

From that CNN report:

During the same event, the awkward way Trump sipped water from a glass also raised questions. Trump appeared to have difficulty lifting his right arm to his mouth, so he used his left hand to push the bottom of the glass higher.

Here we are now, nearly one full year into Trump’s second term in office, and the MSM are in “just asking questions” mode on Trump’s health, with CNN‘s Jake Tapper interviewing Dr. Jonathan Reiner, who was a cardiologist for the late Dick Cheney, on tweets Dr. Reiner wrote about how he was “seriously concerned” about Trump’s health after watching his address to the nation Wednesday night:

JAKE TAPPER: Dr. Reiner, what specifically was it about President Trump that you found so concerning watching him last night, especially in the context of, you know, he gives outrageous speeches and has been for years?

DR. JONATHAN REINER, CNN MEDICAL ANALYST: […] But it was the way it was delivered. It was delivered in with a manic cadence, almost a frantic cadence. It was as if you felt like you were listening to a podcast on 2X.

And that kind of manic delivery was very, very disturbing, very pressure, very pressurized speech. And as the address went on, his — the cadence of his remarks became quicker. And we’ve never seen the president, you know, like that. He seemed almost frantic. And it was disturbing to watch.

It was disturbing because he’s the commander in chief. He’s not just the head of the government. He’s the commander in chief of the greatest armed forces this world has ever seen. And it’s — it was disturbing to see him with in such a — almost uncontrolled cadence.

TAPPER: So you call his cadence manic and uncontrolled. And then earlier today, and this is not the first time this has happened, the president appeared to be struggling to keep his eyes open during a public White House event in the Oval Office earlier today. We’re showing the video right now. I don’t know if that worries you. What’s your take on that? What is that?

REINER: So he’s done this several times now in the last few weeks.

Watch:

Tapper’s colleague, media hall monitor Brian Stelter, amplified his rant and interview, apparently hoping people would forget he (Stelter) was pushing the Biden-Harris administration’s “cheap fakes” narratives about the Biden videos in June 2024:

Just a few days before Tapper’s interview with Reiner, he admitted on the Obama Bros’ “Pod Save America” podcast that he was covering Trump’s health more because the media had dropped the ball on covering Biden’s health during his time in office.

A little less than a month ago, the New York Times got the ball rolling on the “Trump is unwell” narrative by writing about how Trump supposedly seemed fatigued and was allegedly starting to schedule some events later in the day. They, too, consulted doctors for parts of their story:

Axios reporter Alex Thompson, who, along with Tapper, published a book about Biden’s decline earlier this year, added his .02 about the president’s schedule:

I think a line from the Times report on the fact that Trump “is taking more foreign trips” this time around might have been the first clue needed for Thompson, and even the journos who wrote the story, to understand the true reasons why Trump’s schedule is a little different this time around in comparison to 2017, and why he may occasionally look tired.

Is it okay for the MSM to ask questions about an elected official’s health? Sure. It’s part of the job. The only problem is that not only are they inconsistent about it, but they are also wildly partisan in how and why they choose to cover (and not cover) the issue.

Poor ole media…they are so filled with shit that they cannot see beyond there own opinion.

Humm, diagnosing someone without examining them, speaking with them, or even reviewing their medical record. There is a word we have for that in medicine………Oh, I remember “Malpractice” yea that’s the word.

Also the things they are describing are pretty typical signs of age not disease process. I mean who would have thought that someone in their 70’s who has the most stressful job on the planet might slow down a bit. I mean that would be just silly.

Someone please explain how releasing a medical diagnosis is not a HIPPA violation?

ArmyStrong in reply to MattMusson. | December 21, 2025 at 10:57 am

It’s time for Trump to take these lying hypocrites to court for medical malpractice and slander.

      Joe-dallas in reply to MattMusson. | December 21, 2025 at 2:31 pm

Diagnosising someone with out having actually examing the person is likely some form of medical ethics violation, or professional standard violation. But it would not be a HIPPA violation because they did not actually exam the person and therefore could not have released any confidential medical information.

Bandy X. Lee, formerly of Yale, tried to label PRESIDENT Trump “violent” and “dangerous” via remote “diagnosis” and continues to do so to this day: https://bandylee.com/

For the record, she flately REFUSED to perform any sort of remote diagnosis on Biden.

These people are charlatans, the same ones that recommend/promote gender mutilations, both mental and physical.

They need to be rooted out, shamed, and prohibited from ever practicing anything called medicine again.

On another note. Even if Trump is exactly as bad as they say he is he is still 1000% times better than Biden was when he was elected.

There’s “subtle” and then there’s “obvious”. Biden’s condition…. medical problems he had no control over were devastatingly obvious. (A quantitative FDG PET braIN scan of Biden would likely be really bad). When a medical professional is suffering from TDS, anything… ANYTHING… about Trump is a “horrendous” problem. Trump is a force of nature… thinking of Thomas Edison as another example… no “off” switch. Not to be confused with off in left field or beyond as Brandon was…. elder abuse foisted on the country. There! That’s my “medical” opinion. !

    This.

Two words: Goldwater Rule.

The Goldwater Rule was established by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) in 1973. It prohibits psychiatrists from offering professional opinions about public figures whom they have not personally examined. This rule aims to maintain the integrity of psychiatry and prevent the misuse of psychiatric diagnoses for political purposes.

It came out of the 1964 Presidential race where psychiatrists publicly stated that candidate Barry Goldwater (R) was mentally ill and unfit to be President.

I’d love to see someone file a complaint with the medical boards of the states these MDs are licensed in.

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to Dr. Ed. | December 20, 2025 at 1:11 pm

The Goldwater campaign had a billboard at their convention that said, “in your heart you know he’s right”.

The Democrat campaign came out with a bumper sticker that said “in your guts you know he’s nuts“

I am glad to understand that in Arizona, the Democrats also had a bumper sticker that said, “back to the store in 64“ this was in reference to the Goldwater department stores.

Bandy X. Lee publicly and viciously violated that rule. See my post above.

remember that yahoo shrink from mass ?–she was obviously a paid shill and an embarrassment to shrinks everywhere

CapeBuffalo in reply to texansamurai. | December 20, 2025 at 1:30 pm

Her name is Bandy Lee, and she is an embarrassment to humankind much less an embarrassment to psychiatry. Nevertheless, the MSM touted her every word!

ztakddot in reply to texansamurai. | December 20, 2025 at 3:52 pm

    She was at Yale.

She should have lost her license to practice.

henrybowman in reply to ztakddot. | December 20, 2025 at 4:55 pm

Perplexity: “Yale chose not to renew her voluntary faculty appointment, explicitly citing concerns that she had breached psychiatric ethics (i.e., the Goldwater Rule) in her public comments about Donald Trump and his supporters, including Alan Dershowitz. Her lawsuit challenging Yale’s action was dismissed, and public licensing records list her Connecticut physician/surgeon license without any disciplinary actions noted.”

A doctor who attempts to give a diagnosis of a patient he has never examined must be sick in the head.

Advice to doctor: Physician he thyself

    It’s distressingly common behavior, though.
When our school system in MA (of course) sought to have my son declared ADHD, they had a psychologist file a form in which he claimed that my son was ADHD, which ran in the family because I was, too. When I read that, I boiled over. No one has ever made such a diagnosis of me, and I didn’t even know who this meatpuppet WAS, much less ever even met him. I threatened his license over it, and he revised his report.

ztakddot in reply to henrybowman. | December 20, 2025 at 5:29 pm

      Which school system? Northboro.

All they wanted to do was drug your son he would be more complaint and less a nuisance. They want boys to behave like girls. This is probably because there are more women now in the school system although teacher has always been a profession for women, More women though now as principal and up,

Dimsdale in reply to ztakddot. | December 21, 2025 at 10:43 am

Take a trip to the DESE site and see what things they now direct/approve. It is a nightmare, giving all the power to students and none for teachers. So who do the admins punish for bad behavior? You guessed it: the teachers. While many do deserve it, it is rarely the common sense teachers that get a pass.

        Been there, done that.

Donald Trump is dying!

Or so wishes the media with particular glee. They were thrice robbed of his untimely demise but this time – this time – they’ll have their victory.

Of course, Trump is dying as we’re all dying, a little at a time. The man has more energy than I do even though he’s 15+ years older than me.

That said, 95% of what the media says is a lie.

The other 5% is devoid of truth.

My opinion of the media correlates perfectly with that of William Tecumseh Sherman – you can look up those quotes for yourself.

Just more Tapper Trash.

CapeBuffalo in reply to Snail. | December 20, 2025 at 1:37 pm

It is amazing and frustrating that so many Americans have relied on the Cronkites, Rathers , Tappers et al who have spewed their version of the news to subvert and infect the minds of their viewers.
The MSM is the longest running psyops in history.

henrybowman in reply to Snail. | December 20, 2025 at 5:03 pm

The ones that start out as flacks for the gun control movement are the absolute Goebbelses of America.

Dimsdale in reply to Snail. | December 21, 2025 at 10:47 am

    In the crapper with Tapper.

What, they didn’t learn from that idiot Bandi X Lee?

How many HUNDREDS of times did she ‘diagnose’ Trump… more than 5 years ago?

It breaks my brain they’re actually going to try this after the last 4 years of pudding brain.

Dimsdale in reply to Olinser. | December 21, 2025 at 10:48 am

She’s still doing it, and the media is eating up, just like the do with whiter than white Robin DiAngelo, who I have the misfortune of having met, and she is bat guano crazy.

I suspect Lee falls in the same category: whacked out, TDS ridden leftist woman.

Just to be clear – Biden was always in perfect health – both physically and mentally !

sarc tag needed?

They are doing it for their audience, the lunatics like themselves, reinforcing their beliefs that they know better and it is their obligation to save us so we can live in their world. Rinse, wash, repeat. Think Jennifer Welch. It permeates the worlds they touch, and here it’s worse because of the ethical violation not to diagnose without examination.

The ugliness mentality is pronounced in journalism. Sasha Stone’s piece today, “Vanity Fair and the Incurably Ugly Left,” says it well.

https://www.sashastone.com/p/vanity-fair-and-the-incurably-ugly

Fortunately, they cannot realize why they are actually losing, but they sure cause needless damage to everyone as they practice in their ignorant bliss.

What Sasha describes all falls fairly under the rubric of “cattiness,” and she even explicitly blames it on “the women and gay men” in the movement.
The inescapable conclusion is so, SO close…

It was interesting that I could see during the 2020 election that Biden was having major brain problems and the media was shielding him and nothing was brought forward during his time in office. Now they are trying to bring in Doctors who have not personally met with President Trump or has reviewed his latest physical, and have them say he is mentally bad is typical if the media. The media will not give us the truth only what they want to try to make us believe as propaganda for the Dems and Deep State.

You know they’re super cereal when they wear their lab coats. 😜

Any pundit who goes on about Trump’s health, yet didn’t say a word to cover Biden’s glaring decay into protozoan pus can just STFU.

My dermatologist analyzed Jake Tapper’s demeanor, and he feels quite certain that Jake is suffering from genital warts.

I think the doctor is in violation of the HIPAA

Maybe Trump is tired after doing more work in the first ten months of his presidency than Biden did in all of his. Trump has already attended more cabinet meetings in his second term than Biden conducted during his entire presidency.

CNN sucks.

“And it is disturbing to watch.”

You’ve gotta admit though, the whole “We’re covering it for Trump because we dropped the ball on it when Biden was President” excuse is pretty creative.

Much better than the typical “you’re a racist/fascist/misogynist/[fill in the blank]phobe” excuse they normally employ.

If it weren’t the media and we didn’t already know better, it would almost seem plausible.

Someone need to remind Jake that there’s a distinct difference between not reporting on something and actively trying to cover it up.
