Democrats Rush to Back Marjorie Taylor Greene to Hit Trump
No Democrat has suddenly discovered an appreciation for Greene’s policy views. They are embracing her because it benefits them politically
In a political twist that would’ve been unthinkable six months ago, Democrats and liberal activists are suddenly promoting Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene as a kind of accidental whistleblower, not because they’ve changed their minds about her record, but because her public break with Donald Trump is simply too useful to pass up.
The left’s new strategy is unmistakable: elevate Greene wherever she clashes with Trump, amplify her statements when they hurt him, and present her as the “honest Republican” at the precise moment they believe she can damage the former president most.
What was once one of the Democratic Party’s most reliable villains has become, overnight, a political tool.
This strange alignment took shape almost instantly online. NeverTrump groups, liberal influencers, and Democratic operatives began circulating Greene’s recent comments, not to criticize her, but to frame her as the voice exposing Trump’s vulnerabilities.
One of the first to seize the opportunity was anti-Trump strategist Sarah Longwell, who used Greene’s remarks to argue that the rift represented something deeper in the GOP.
“She is saying ‘Trump isn’t looking out for you. He said he was going to and he is not.’… Can Trump just crush her the way he’s crushed other Republicans, or does she have her own power base?”
Longwell’s framing, Greene as the one Republican brave enough to say the quiet part out loud, has quickly become the narrative Democrats embraced. And major media outlets followed. Several members of Congress went so far as to describe Greene as having “a surprisingly enlightened few weeks” on issues like the Epstein Files and ACA subsidies.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said Monday on MSNBC’s Katy Tur Reports that he has not met with Greene, but said she has had a “surprisingly enlightened few weeks in terms of her perspective” on the Epstein Files and the ACA subsidies.
It was a remarkable reversal, given that Democrats previously tried to strip Greene from committees, censure her, and make her the face of MAGA extremism. But the moment she rebuked Trump on transparency, ACA premiums, and party leadership, prominent Democrats began circulating her posts with approval.
Democratic-aligned influencers have started openly cheering her on, not for ideological reasons, but because the feud gives them ammunition against Trump.
Marjorie Taylor Greene is one of the only Republicans who sees where this is headed.
Trump is weak. He’s tanking the economy and raising prices. He’s underwater on all key issues. The GOP is likely headed toward a midterm loss.
MTG is positioning herself for a post-Trump GOP.

Ro Khanna, one of the Democrats’ most active media surrogates, echoed the praise.
Why is Trump inclined to treat Ghislaine Maxwell better than @mtgreenee?
I welcome MTG voters into a new populist coalition that is anti-war, anti-corruption and focused on reducing costs for the working class.

And Democratic strategists who spent years attacking MTG have ben sharing her content with a wink.
Marjorie Taylor Greene just said on CNN that about 60% of the calls to her office are from people pissed at Republicans about health care premiums. Some of her constituents are already paying $2,000 a month and are worried those costs could double or triple.
Strange times when I’m sharing something from MTG in a positive light…

Even Adam Kinzinger, a favorite of MSNBC panels, and his friends over at the scandal-ridden Lincoln Project, who retweet him every chance they get, joined the new chorus, adding fuel to the left’s framing that Greene is suddenly the truth-teller in a collapsing MAGA universe.
Politico described Democrats as “delighted” with the feud, and they’re not being subtle about why.
This almost feels like a moment where Marge should phone a friend…
I’m here for you girl… I told you not to trust him… all he cares about is HIMself (and protecting pedos) he never loved you. My granny always said “be with the man that loves you more than you love him.” Trust me, sis, you are better off without him.
The GWORLS are fighting!

Trump escalated the split in a blistering Truth Social post calling her “Lightweight Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Brown” and accusing her of turning left. The moment that happened, Democrats reacted as if Christmas had arrived early, using the very drama to widen the gap.
“Democrats have cheered on the breakup between the two onetime allies, looking to further drive a wedge between the president and his base.
And that is the entire point.
No Democrat has suddenly discovered an appreciation for Greene’s policy views. They are embracing her because it benefits them politically. Every Greene statement criticizing Trump becomes a headline. Every Trump swipe becomes an opportunity to portray a fractured Republican coalition. Every retweet is an attempt to elevate the conflict and keep it alive.
For Democrats trying to weaken Trump’s standing ahead of the next election cycle, Greene has become, temporarily, their most unexpected asset.
For as long as the feud lasts, they intend to squeeze every drop of political advantage out of it.

Dear God this ugly
I hope Trump keeps his powder dry
The high cost of insurance is the Democrats fault with Obamacare, not the Republicans
Many food staples have gone down
Eggs like $2-3 dozen vs5-8$, milk stable, got a 3 lb bag of granny smith’s apples for 2.50, 10 lb bag chicken 5.59$ quarters
She’s lying and she knows it
If there was ever an indication that MTG is an unmitigated loon it’s who is embracing her now,
Are you kidding?
Say what you like about MTG, but this is proof that she’s smarter than Democrats.
She’s collecting Democrat quotes for her campaign ads as we speak.
She is helping the Democrats and as always happens you turn on the Republican Party and help the Democrats the Democrats are willing to temporarily help you in return.
Exhibit A: the “Lincoln Project”.
and exactly like the Lincoln project she is actively trying to destroy the Republican Party from the inside.
Groypers also are not conservative to start with.
By the way Dear Morons
I saw some of you pointing out Donald Trump ran behind Brian Kemp in Georgia in order to try to demoralize us and give us the idea MTG is on her way to the senate so I asked Chat GPT if there is any record of MTG ever helping or being associated with Brian Kemp here is the response
“There is no record in the provided context of Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) helping Brian Kemp. The sources mention interactions and dynamics between the two politicians but do not indicate any direct support or assistance from MTG to Kemp. Instead, the context highlights potential political competition between them, particularly regarding future elections. For instance, after Kemp decided not to run for the U.S. Senate in 2026, speculation arose about MTG possibly entering that race, which could position her as a rival rather than an ally.
Additionally, MTG has criticized state Republicans, including referencing issues relevant to Kemp’s administration, without indicating collaboration.
While both are prominent Georgia Republicans and share support for Donald Trump, no concrete instance of MTG aiding Kemp is documented in the provided materials.”
But by all means morons (I don’t care if you are a Democrat or a Groyper) you do you. I highly doubt you are deluded enough to think Georgia is going to enthusiastically endorse an asshole like MTG but again you do you but you aren’t fooling anyone.
For clarification the second part wasn’t aimed at you it was towards a MTG lover who has been spamming here.
What is a “ groyper?”
I had to look it up. “Groypers” are race-essentialists on the right wing side, who idolize an imaginary frog-man named Groyper.
Oh Henry
Just no
This, the earlier Musk feud, and anything like these are incredibly cringe-worthy.
It’s analogous to people airing out their dirty laundry on TikTok.
“No Democrat has suddenly discovered an appreciation for Greene’s policy views.”
Maybe so, maybe not.
Ever since this feud started, I can’t get this Mark Twain quote out of my head:
“Don’t wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty and the pig likes it.”
Careful, Mr. President!
“Trump is weak. He’s tanking the economy and raising prices. He’s underwater on all key issues. The GOP is likely headed toward a midterm loss.”
I remember President Reagan’s first year in office.
https://www.csmonitor.com/1982/0120/012037.html
I think that President Trump will have the last laugh.
I’ve watched her transition to batsh^t crazy for the past year!
I don’t think she had to “transition”, it was already in her chromosomes …
MTG let her ambition for higher office lead her over a cliff. She wanted to appeal to never Trump Rinos and moderate Democrats in a potential run for Senator of Governor.
Just goes to show that pandering with no principles is fraught with political peril.
She is not running for Governor or Senate. She is worried about keeping her congressional seat. Her district is a closely divided one, and it has some of the largest price impact from loss of ACA subsidies in the whole country. [I am not sure why that is, but the impact of those subsidies is extremely uneven across the US, and even within a state.]
“Former”?!
Reversing price increases is gonna be a tough ask. Longer term keeping energy prices lower by increasing supply will help at the fuel pump… but not so much with electricity prices. The wokiesta leftists and environmental nuts killed of coal fired plants (with an assist from weak GoP who didn’t put up too much of a fight outside coal production areas). The demand for electricity is going through the roof with AI/data centers and this on top of closing nuke plants/coal fired plants and shoving $ at unreliable/intermittent solar/wind has created a big problem for electricity markets. Retail consumers getting hammered in some locations with future pain spreading to more areas.
ACA and health IN is actually an easy fix if Congress had the stones. Simply run a parallel market. Allow consumers to buy no frills/catastrophic care policy with a universal HSA and put 35% of the ObamaCare subsidy paid to IN companies into the individuals HSA and 95%+ of the problem is solved. The remains 5% who have chronic conditions with higher cost could be assisted with a higher subsidy specific to their condition. Yes this is ‘socialism’ but it is a less costly much improved version of our current health IN ‘market’ and given a binary choice between the two I know which I’d prefer.
The other issues of job market prospects, higher education, housing costs and quality of life/American Dream are interlinked. The current policy offerings of the 1. WH a 50 year mortgage -hard pass, the interest cost is absurd and only benefits the financial class
2. gotta keep 600K ChiCom students in our univ or the ED system will collapse -that’s Higher Ed’s fault they put themselves into position to become dependent on Foreign $ to support outrageous tuition/fee growth to pay for administrative bloat/DEI/CRT sinecure positions
3. Gotta keep the H1B immigration pipeline flowing for Corporate America b/c US Citizens ‘don’t have the skills’
Imagine having graduated college with a degree in computer science then not getting hired b/c someone on an H1B visa will work cheaper. Now add to this your student debt to obtain the degree and the fact the highly inflated cost of that degree was due in large part to foreign students generating higher demand. Then add there.was an existing Federal program to assist that foreign student to be approved to stay in the USA, apply for and receive the jobs you applied for and we can see how younger people are getting PO.
Either we offer credible solutions from the center/right that actually work to fix these problems for younger generations or they will be susceptible to being swayed by the offerings of the leftist/socialists. See Mamdani as what happens when the center and the right either ignore or refuse to adequately address the very real concerns of younger voters. If we refuse to offer real solutions then the ‘customer’ aka voters will look elsewhere.
The only real solution to the escalation of housing prices is a 2008-style crash.
Wait–didn’t she and Jazzie have a serious feud in which Jazzie called out MTG for her “butch body”?
Why is MTG so nervous about the ACA subsidies? I saw a map early in the shutdown that explained it – it showed the parts of the country where the premiums were most heavily subsidized, and some parts of GA were the few areas of the country that were bright red. Northwestern corner of GA (her district) and southernmost part too.
