Video Shows ICE Agents Acting to Get Detainees Out of Harm’s Way During Dallas Ambush

There is no doubt in my mind that the despicable, over-the-line attacks from Democrats and prominent media figures against ICE, referring to them as “Nazis,” “fascists,” and “the Gestapo,” are motivating domestic terrorists in this country to try to take them out.
The list is long, but here are a couple of examples:
“I don’t know of any police department that routinely wears masks. We know that there are other groups that routinely wear masks. NSC-131 routinely wears masks,” anti-ICE Boston Mayor Michelle Wu (D) said in June, comparing them to neo-Nazis.
In May, during a commencement address, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a prospective 2028 presidential candidate, referred to ICE agents as President “Trump’s modern-day Gestapo.”
As Legal Insurrection reported, the latest attempted assault upon ICE agents happened on Wednesday, when a deranged individual opened fire at a field office in Dallas in the early morning hours as detainees were in the middle of being transferred.
The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, intended to shoot ICE agents, according to FBI Director Kash Patel. Instead, he shot three detainees from a rooftop, killing one of them, before turning the gun on himself.
Surveillance video released Friday showed the agents taking action to get the detainees they could out of harm’s way as the shooting went down:
Surveillance video obtained by Fox News shows the chaotic moments when ICE agents took cover and protected detainees as gunfire rained down on them from outside a Dallas facility Wednesday morning.
The video shows agents ducking for cover in front of two white vans while quickly shuffling detainees inside the facility, where an ICE agent frantically guided the detainees down a hallway. One handcuffed prisoner appeared to be bleeding from his head.
Shortly thereafter, six agents exited the facility and made their way towards one of the vans. Two men ducked behind the van as an agent wearing full tactical gear opened the driver’s side door and looked into the rear of the vehicle. The second man, wearing blue rubber medical gloves, later did the same and motioned for help.
Fox News national correspondent Brooke Taylor also shared this information along with the video:
Officials say they hope people will see that the agents were heroic, clearly willing to risk their lives to save the detainees, rather than focus on dangerous anti-ICE rhetoric. I’ve spoken with sources who are agents at the field office and they say they’re upset, devastated, and frustrated that the public can’t see they are just doing their jobs and protecting the community.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) responded accordingly, concluding with this message:
“Texas stands with ICE agents & our law enforcement officers. May God bless them & keep them safe.”

Everybody on the left, in the press, and the NeverTrump “right” who have demonized ICE agents should apologize and admit they were wrong, and then proceed forward with viewing this topic from a different perspective.
But they won’t, because Democrats and their woke supporters are a hopelessly lost group right now, so out of touch and badly afflicted with TDS that they either run away from condemning left-wing violence, cheer it in some instances, suggest we should have some sympathy for the people who commit these heinous acts, or, in some cases, appear to blame or mock the victims.
It’s depraved, but that’s about where we are right now.

I’m going to make a prediction and it’s based upon the nonsensical blathering of Mayor Wu, a politician that uses her gender and her race to mask her Marxist worldview.
She isn’t smart enough to keep her mouth shut vis illegal immigration and I further believe she’s dumb enough to act in such a way that gets her thrown in federal prison.
ICE is running advertisements on Boston television aimed at recruiting local law enforcement who do not agree with Wu’s radical policies. That must be driving her crazy.
ICE is doing the same in the Seattle market. They’re probably running these ads in all the larger sanctuary city markets.

As someone who worked in a cop shop for many years, I have general sympathy for them. They certainly do a job I wouldn’t do. But at the same time I do not trust cops. I worked for one of the best departments in the country, but they even didn’t hesitate to protect their own when a citizen brings genuine complaints for sometimes egregious conduct. Make no mistake, the general thread that runs through police operations is “protect the department” rather than “serve the public.”
There is no more clear difference between the left and the right. A lunatic of the left fired shots at people he hated and killed someone else. Meanwhile the right celebrates the people who put their lives on the line to protect criminals.
The leftist politician rhetoric is setting the stage for civil disturbance, insurrection, and armed conflict. The blood of the dead will be on their hands. These same politicians of course will blame the right for everything and anything. No interest or ability in taking responsibility for the inflammatory words they utter. All they care about is opposing Trump by any means necessary.
If the Left’s leadership truly feared the right as the sorts of people they liken them too, they’d shut their pie holes. “Nazis” and “fascists” killed their political opponents. When dealing with them, historically most people kept their heads down. Are our Leftists braver than that? I don’t believe so. There are too many of them running their yaps – the brave are usually the few. The better explanation is that they don’t believe what they are saying.
