Of course, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul endorses socialist Zohran Mamdani for mayor of New York City.
I mean, was she going to endorse former Gov. Andrew Cuomo?
But did Hochul have to endorse anyone, especially the socialist, anti-Israel candidate?
Hochul authored a long op-ed in The New York Times, explaining her position. I couldn’t keep a straight face:
We discussed the need to combat the rise of antisemitism urgently and unequivocally. I’ve been glad to see him meet with Jewish leaders across the city, listening and addressing their concerns directly. I look forward to working together to make sure New Yorkers of all faiths feel safe and welcome in New York City.
Um, Mamdani pledged two days ago to order the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he ever set foot in the city.
Mamdani refused to condemn chants of “globalize the intifada.”
Mamdani belongs to the Democratic Socialist Party, which boasts many antisemitic views of Israel.
The socialist’s views on Israel is important because NYC has the largest Jewish population in the country.
Do I need to go into detail about how a socialist is bad news for NYC? Hochul complains President Donald Trump has killed jobs, but what do you think a socialist will do!?

Sorry. Women especially women politicians are at the root of the dramacrat party and the disintegration of this country. Of course this is a generalization but all you have to do is look at voting patterns and the insanity of the left and you’ll find women front and center.
Women have a definite edge on being Democrat, but the real landslide is never-married women (and never married men aren’t so far behind them).

Let’s get ahead of the curve and get Congress to pass ‘No Bailout for Boondoggles’ legislation that prohibits Federal funds being used to prop up failing City, County or State Gov’t entities in any financial shortfall. While at it adopt legislation requiring Public Pension funds be funded at 90% minimum no later than ’28 and at 95% no later than
’32 or the govt entity sponsoring the plan goes into financial receivership.
Public entities should purchase annuities to cover the pensions of every employee.
Spending today for tomorrow’s budgetary problem would be prudent but politicians in general and d/prog politicians in blue jurisdictions have ‘better’ uses for the tax dollars. Instead of being prudent they hand over $ to higher wages/current benefits for public sector union or for ‘homeless’, drug users needle exchange, assistance for illegal aliens. Many borrow money to meet the operating costs. Eventually they hit a financing wall where tax revenue won’t support their promises, no institution will make a loan, bond buyers won’t buy their junk debt and they can’t deliver basic services; LEO, Fire, EMS, fixing potholes, garbage collection. Individuals and businesses bail out which lowers property tax collection and the death spiral becomes inevitable. This is where the parasitic politicians and grifters begin making demands for Federal bailouts. Let’s get ahead of it and say no.

As I ponder the age of the POS who murdered Charlie Kirk (22), it occurred to me that he was born after 9/11.

Unlikely. Even if his handpicked police chief wanted to do it, Netanyahu hasn’t committed any offense prosecutable in the USA, under either federal or state law.
He claims that he would be executing the “arrest warrant” issued by the ICC. He doesn’t seem to understand that that “warrant” has exactly as much legal force as one issued by one of those Sovereign Citizen “people’s tribunals”. I could personally issue a “warrant” for Mamdani’s arrest, which would be just as legally valid as the ICC’s “warrant”. So could any precocious kindergartener who knows how to spell “warrant”.

I believe that the governor has the authority to remove the NY City mayor for misconduct. By decreasing the distance between herself and Mamadani, I think that Hochul has made a strategic political error. IMO, if he wins, I believe there will be plenty of “buyer’s remorse” by November 2026 and a good Republican candidate will have a great issue to use against Hochul. Zeldin did not lose by much last time and NY has from time to time chosen a Republican governor.

Looks like New York wants to become our version of Madrid or Barcelona with reference to the Spanish Civil War. That war was a proxy fight between Stalin and Hitler.
