Florida Sheriff Offers Grave Warning to Would-be Rioters: ‘We Will Kill You’

This week, in anticipation of the ‘No Kings’ protests planned for Saturday, a sheriff in Brevard County, Florida offered a grave warning to any protesters who might be thinking of acting out like the rioters in Los Angeles.

While he fully supports the rights of people to peacefully protest, he was pretty frank about what will happen to lawbreakers.

Townhall reports:

Florida Sheriff Warns Lefty Would-Be Rioters: ‘We Will Kill You’At a Florida press conference, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey issued a deadly warning to potential protesters.”If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains at, because we will kill you, graveyard dead. We’re not gonna play. This has to stop.””If you spit on us, you’re going to the hospital, then jail,” said Ivey. “If you hit one of us, you’re going to the hospital and jail—and most likely get bitten by one of our big, beautiful dogs we have here.”The press conference happened just two days before the weekend. No Kings protests are planned for 70 locations in Florida, and more are planned across the rest of the United States. The governor has also outlined his stance on any potential violence.

After watching this video, I kind of want to move to Florida.

In seemingly related news, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reminded people that if your car is surrounded by rioters in Florida, you have the right to defend yourself by driving through, or over them.

The Hill reports:

DeSantis: Florida drivers have right to hit protesters if they need to ‘flee for your safety’Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) assured drivers in his state they will not be held liable if they hit protesters blocking roadways when they are fearful for their lives.“If you’re driving on one of those streets and a mob comes and surrounds your vehicle and threatens you, you have a right to flee for your safety, and so if you drive off and you hit one of these people, that’s their fault for impinging on you,” DeSantis told podcaster Dave Rubin in an episode of “The Rubin Report” released Wednesday night. “You don’t have to sit there and just be a sitting duck and let the mob grab you out of your car and drag you through the streets.”“You have a right to defend yourself in Florida,” he added.
