Disney Building Resort in Country That Criminalizes Homosexuality
Disney chose a country where the Education Ministry “explicitly prohibits discussing gender identity, homosexuality or any other behavior deemed unacceptable to the UAE’s society’ in class.”

Remember when The Walt Disney Company railed against Florida over its so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
ESPN, whose parent company is Disney, held a “moment of silence” for the bill that protected parental rights and kept books in age-appropriate sections.

Disney strongly supports the gay community…so it’s building its newest park in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The UAE criminalizes homosexuality. The Ministry of Education, I kid you not, “explicitly prohibits discussing gender identity, homosexuality or any other behavior deemed unacceptable to the UAE’s society’ in class.”
Islam is the state religion. Sharia is the source of law.
Sharia law…so same-sex sexual activity is punishable by death.
From Human Dignity Trust:
Same-sex sexual activity is prohibited under the Criminal Codes of the Emirates of Abu Dhabi, which criminalises ‘unnatural sex with another person’, and Dubai, which criminalises acts of ‘sodomy’. The Federal Penal Code criminalises ‘voluntary debasement’, but it is not clear what acts this covers. These provisions carry a maximum penalty of fourteen years’ imprisonment. Both men and women are criminalised under the law. Same-sex sexual activity may also be penalised under Sharia law, under which the death penalty is possible, though there is no evidence that this has been used against LGBT people.
In addition to potentially being captured by laws that criminalise same-sex activity, trans people may also face prosecution under the Federal Penal Code 1987, which criminalises a ‘male disguising as a female’ with a maximum penalty of one year imprisonment and a fine.
The UAE also has public decency laws, which cover kissing in public and cross-dressing.
I honestly don’t have to say much more, do I? Another hypocrisy move by a super woke company that doesn’t practice what it preaches. Totes shocked! (That’s sarcasm, by the way.)
A whole new world awaits ✨ Disney and Miral have announced an agreement to create the seventh Disney theme park resort in Abu Dhabi. https://t.co/Z3II42opKF #YasIsland #InAbuDhabi pic.twitter.com/7MskZjXuvz

No problem. They don’t call it The Magic Kingdom for nothing. Their plan is to bore at the Abu Dhabi society from within, with the help of spells and incantations — ranging from the relatively everyday “bibbity bobbity boo” to the nuclear-option “these aren’t the sodomites you’re looking for.”
I’m fairness though in Abu Dhabi they ‘can say gay’ it’s just that an execution follows the phrase at sentencing.
Make sure those testosterone laden Disney “princesses” tag along!!!

Several years ago, UAE famously refused to allow Buzz Lightyear to be shown in the country because of the lesbian kiss in the film….that was made for children. It’s interesting they’ve chosen Abu Dhabi rather than Dubai with the former being appreciably more conservative than the latter, although both are WAY more ‘reserved’ than any American city, even SLC back in the day. Having said that, I’ve been to Ferrari World (an amusement park) and Yas Waterpark, both in Abu Dhabi. They’re really not materially different than a US park other than some (surprisingly small) percentage of the women looking like sacks of potatoes…even at the waterpark, which is fascinating to watch. The park is usually co-ed. But, they do have certain days/nights during the month where it’s female only.
Money talks. Abu Dhabi probably greased the right palms and offered enough incentives.
I have been to both Dubai and Abu Dhai myself; Dubai is surprisingly cosmopolitan (some very large percentage of the population is from Europe et al). I’ve seen a Jewish man wearing a yarmulke in a shopping mall and no one gave a glance and a pretty young European woman in a two-piece swimsuit walking down the street toward the beach and while she WAS getting covert glances, they were from me. It’s a nice modern clean city: impressive.
Abu Dhai on the other hand was a dirty industrial feeling city (outside the marina area containing the F1 track and the amusement park). It’s conspicuously not cosmopolitan. Yes, there’s lots of money there but there’s a sort of South-American feel of rich/poor. Didn’t like it.
I would cheerfully take a couple of teen kids to Dubai, but they’d hate Abu Dhai and if they were at all like typical American teens pushing boundaries, the feeling would be mutual.
So – no non-middle-eastern visitors are coming.
Is it Disney or Dizzy?
Hypocrisy knows no bounds. I live in FL and watched that whole woke campaign backfire on them; as they lost their Orlando tax shelter. Now those huge “LGBTQ advocates” are going to place where being gay literally can get you killed and imprisoned. It shows you that all Disney cares about is money and power.
… and that the foot-soldiers of the progressive movement are truly idiots.
imagine if the leftists of dizzy can do to the arabs what they did to america!!!??
Won’t this make it more difficult for Disney to groom minors? That seems contrary to Disney’s business model.
What does “Totes Shocked” mean?
“Totes” is slang for “totally”.
I guess Queers for Palestine” are stuck in Orlando.
Why? It would a great idea for Disney to send experienced staffers to train the locals. Our company often did that in our business when opening a new location. Of course if the staffers didn’t want to take the temporary assignment they could resign…
Modern liberalism is cultural euthanasia masquerading as compassion.
Never before have we been more under siege by this many willful social misfits and their selfish enablers.
So a place that actually has a “Don’t say gay” law and bans books unlike Florida.
