Illegal Alien Who Killed Two Teens Receives Early Release in California

The boy’s father: “Three years for killing two kids! It’s confusing to me. Why you give them 10 if they’re gonna spend five, and then three? Give them three in the beginning, at least we know what to expect. It’s sort of spitting in my face.”

Bill Melugin from Fox News reported that California will release an illegal alien only 3.5 years into his 10-year prison sentence for killing two teens in a car crash.

Documents show Oscar Eduardo Ortega-Anguiano, 43, will leave prison on July 19, 2025.

While driving drunk at 100mph, Ortega-Anguiano crashed into 19-year-olds Anya Varfolomeev and Nicholay Osokin in November 2021.

The crashed burned the kids alive.

A jury convicted Ortega-Anguiano of two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

A judge sentenced the illegal alien to 10 years in prison.

Anya’s father Anatoly Varfolomeev told Fox News: “It’s disgusting. You have two young, unbelievable future, productive American citizens killed for nothing and that illegal immigrant who already has been deported twice is going to be released again? For what? If even he is deported, he will come back.”

Pavel Osokin, Nicholay’s father, told Melugin: “Three years for killing two kids! It’s confusing to me. Why you give them 10 if they’re gonna spend five, and then three? Give them three in the beginning, at least we know what to expect. It’s sort of spitting in my face.”

ICE released a detainer to arrest Ortega-Anguiano once the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation lets him go:

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a detainer with North Kern State Prison, Delano, California, June 9, 2022, on Oscar Eduardo Ortega-Anguiano, 43, of Mexico. He is serving time after being convicted of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. His previous criminal convictions include burglary in 2005; vehicle theft in 2007; and battery on spouse with kidnapping in 2014,” the statement from ICE explains.

“An immigration judge ordered Ortega removed Nov. 3, 2014; he filed several unsuccessful appeals and was taken into ICE custody Dec. 2, 2016, and removed to Mexico the same day. Ortega attempted to reenter the United States Feb. 2, 2018, near Otay Mesa, California by presenting a counterfeit document; he was paroled into the U.S. pending criminal prosecution for illegal reentry after removal. An immigration official issued Ortega an expedited removal order and removed him June 1, 2018, to Mexico; after his latest removal, he again illegally reentered the U.S. on an unknown date and location. ICE issued a detainer with the Orange County Jail, California, Nov. 27, 2021, where he was being held on vehicular manslaughter charges at the time,” it continues.

But will the state’s sanctuary laws prevent the arrest? Probably.

Fox News also revealed that “Ortega-Anguiano had multiple felonies on his record, as well as several convictions for driving without a license.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi responded:

This is absolutely unconscionable.

What about Justice for these teens? What about the rights of their parents?

@TheJusticeDept will work with ICE to make sure this illegal alien receives full punishment for his crimes.

You know which prison he is in AG Bondi. Order ICE and Tom Homan to camp out Sid ethe prison and search every vehicle exiting the prison, including cars and take him into custody. Hell, you just might find many others who can be deported too.

ICE needs to be at the door on the day of his release, and send him to “Bukele’s 5 stars hotel”.

well come on
he’s smiling

Anatoly Varfolomeev might now be reconsidering whether he is going to continue to vote for all Dem candidates in every election.

so if you’re in the country illegally for the umpteenth time, in california, you’re driving under the influence, high and at excessive speed, you wreck your vehicle and in the process you KILL two innocent people, no big deal–two maybe three years or so and you’re out again to do whatever the hell you like

jesus

And they cannot deport him today because…?

Because they have to be on the spot at the exact moment California releases him into the community or he will disappear into the community, probably using forged documents -since he’s done that before. Note that California, as a matter of policy and custom will try to help him by not notifying anyone of the when/where of his release.

Due Process missing? Just spitballing here.

And they cannot deport him today because……

so many democrats would be trying to visit him that it would cause a massive traffic jam.

Apparently, he ‘s taken a remedial driving course and has been sober for three years.

“paroled into the U.S. pending criminal prosecution for illegal reentry”

Why? Why after multiple illegal entries was he being paroled.

I’m beginning to think the death penalty should be applied on the third illegal entry.

We also need a different mechanism for due process if you are here illegally. You go before someone and are asked one question. “Are you here
illegally?” If the answer is yes, that’s it, you’re gone. I don’t care about extenuating circumstances. I don’t care if you’re at risk in your own shit hole country. Not my problem. All that matters to me is that you’re here illegally sucking up my tax monies to deal with you.

They would have released him early whether he was an illegal or not.

The problem IS NOT just the illegal aliens driving like this, but that there’s no consequences for anyone driving like this.

Crime/Safety is the top reason to flee the blue state hell holes. He’s got a lot of drunk/high/speeding comrades all up and down the I-5 corridor.

Like most people, my automobile insurance has increased in price substantially the last 3-years. After shopping around trying to find a better price and speaking to a number of insurance agents in the process, it’s become clear that one of the biggest drivers (no pun intended) of the cost increase is coverage for an uninsured motorist. There has been an almost exponential increase of people driving without any car insurance (I wonder who those people might be). Of course, we haven’t seen an exponential increase in the number of people going to jail because they’re driving without insurance. I bet a week’s salary this guy didn’t have any insurance either…and it probably wasn’t even an additional charge for him.

It’s worth it to park ICE outside the prison on the day he’s scheduled for release and scoop him up for deportation–he’ll just drive drunk and kill again if left in this country

Unbelievable that he wasn’t previously deported given his rap sheet. When they say ‘sanctuary state,’ they really mean it, apparently. Congress could help to solve this problem by making any felony (and violent misdemeanor) committed by an alien a federal crime, irrespective of their immigration status. If they’re illegal, that would be a sentencing enhancement. They could then make reporting crimes by aliens mandatory in the same way they’ve made some crimes against children mandatory by licensed professionals. If you’re an officer of the court or a law enforcement officer and you reasonably suspect an alien has committed a crime, that should be a mandated report.

“Unbelievable that he wasn’t previously deported given his rap sheet.”

What’s unbelievable is that if he were deported, democrats would think of him as the victim, rather than the innocent ones he killed.

We need another wall.

It is very simple to catch this guy just like in the old days, put a bounty on his head DOA! He will flee if he can but if caught, he will be turned over to the feds. Why pay federal agents to watch for him when a bounty hunter will do it for the reward?

It’s stuff like this where people start taking the law into their own hands, since the government will not do it’s damn job.

In California, you get two days’ credit for each day in jail if you are not a problem. This credit is called “worktime/good time.”
The problem is that he only got ten years. He should have received two ten-year sentences to be served consecutively.
I knew a guy who was convicted of manslaughter for driving drunk and got the same sentence. But, I was told 1. Both cars could drive away from the collision. 2. The woman driving the Volkswagen wagon, for some reason, fell out of the VW while getting out, hit her head on the curb, and died. Tragic, yes. But not at the level of this guy.
