Duplicative is just another name for stealing other people’s work and claiming it as your own. It is only different in degree from smashing windows of a store and grabbing stuff and running off with it. And just as the police won’t do nothing, neither will the board of directors at Harvard. So enjoy. It’s the new normal.
C’mon man. Everybody knows there are only like 500 words in the English language. So when really really smart people write, it’s not surprising that they use mostly the same words.
Gay was engaging in mostly deceitful dissertations.
Another day, another lie.
Such a hallmark of inclusivity.
Imagine the plug is pulled on Affirmative Action.
Gay would be, at best, a Principal of a ghetto elementary school.
Thomas Sowell would still be who he is today.
Clarence Thomas would still be who he is today.
So would others who were judged by merit.
I just don’t think the racism we hear so much screaming about would hold back anyone with talent or ability. Those days are long-past. NO employer will turn away talent.
EDIT: Maybe not “NO”, but the few who would turn away talent based on race just leaves that talent to go to the competitors.
And they could then deal with the shortcomings in their less talented employees.
Merry Christmas, Grizz.
.
Thank you. The same to you and all the rest of the LI-ers.
Based on my personal experience in the workplace, 80-90% of AA talked a good game but were instant examples of the Peter Principle. It also took 2-3 years to get rid of the bad apples.
Surprised she made it as far as she did. I could see somebody like claudine gay getting social promotion for masters degree in ivy league. Harvard board of trustees using the president as figurehead position nowadays?
Just in time, “duplicative language” wins 2023’s Euphemism of the Year Award!
