Trump on New York Civil Fraud Trial: ‘The Crime is Against Me Because We have a Corrupt’ DA and Attorney General

“We have a racist attorney general who’s a horror show who ran on the basis that she was going to get Trump before she even knew anything about me.”

I am no fan of President Donald Trump, but the New York civil fraud case smells rotten. We know Attorney General Letitia James promised to go after Trump right after she won the election without even knowing or dictating the crimes.

Trump spoke to the press before he entered the courtroom:

TRUMP: “There was no crime. The crime is against me, because we have a corrupt district attorney, we have a corrupt attorney general. And it all comes down from the DOJ, they totally coordinate this in Washington, because I’m leading, I’m the leading candidate and I’m leading Biden by 10 points, and I’m leading the Republicans by 50 and 60 points, that’s pretty much. They say over, I never accept that. But they say it’s over. This has to do with election interference, plain and simple. They’re trying to damage me so that I don’t do as well as I’m doing in the election.”

Fake indictments help Trump:

TRUMP: “I think most people get it. People getting it. I can tell you, the voters getting it because every time they give me a fake indictment, I go up in the polls, and that’s never happened before. But this is a disgrace.”

Trump goes after the judge:

TRUMP: “This is a continuation of the single greatest witch hunt of all time. We have a rogue judge who rules that properties are worth a tiny fraction 1/100th, a tiny fraction of what they actually are. We have a racist attorney general who’s a horror show who ran on the basis that she was going to get Trump before she even knew anything about me. She used this to run for governor. She failed in her attempt to run for governor. She had virtually no polling. She came back and she said, ‘Well, now I’ll go back to get Trump again.’ And this is what we have. It’s a scam. It’s a sham.”

You fail to give Obama and Soros due credit.

Every bit of this is enable and applauded by 90% of the republican party. if there were an actual opposition party this wouldn’t be happening.

Let’s see….. Trump is running about 60% support among Republicans in the polls, so that means that according to you, over half of Trump supporters are applauding this trial. Nope, not buying it.

Tyranny reigns supreme among the Democrats.

I’m still trying to figure out how the judge came up with a $20,000,000 value on Mir-a-Lago when 5 acres of empty land next door is listed at $50,000,000

Yeah, that’s a head-scratcher. It’s not hyperbole to say that Mar-a-Lago is potentially the most valuable residence in FL and perhaps even in the United States. A home down the street on less than a quarter of the acreage that Mar-a-Lago sits on, sold for $70M…back in 2002. It was the most expensive residential real estate transaction in FL history, at the time. I would think Mar-a-Lago is worth something comfortably north of $500M.

Trump claims $1 Billion and with 17acres he might not be far off

        Trump claims around 600,000,000..

But the land alone might be in excess of a billion., never mind the business that generates about 25 million a year sitting on it.

    Azathoth in reply to diver64. | October 2, 2023 at 3:10 pm

    He didn’t.

He used the tax assessment instead of the appraised value.

Because it’s not for sale, and sale comes with stipulations, realtor sites give the assessment.

He was using the tax accessor’s number

That is a big part of the strategy. Use terror of the police state to intimidate any opposition.

“racist attorney general” …

I hate hearing the word “racist” any more … Trump would be better served to call her a ‘partisan political operative’ – if only because the word racist/racism is so overused and negatively triggering … hearing white Trump call black James a “racist” does more to affect my opinion of Trump than James.

How on earth does Trump think he is going to get away with saying that a 10,000 square foot property is actually 30,000 square foot? That’s not subjective or related to market or assessed value. That’s just an intentional fraudulent statement.

Please give commentary to a police lynching going on this month in Washington State.

It’s George Floyd II.

Bob Ferguson is very full of himself for lynching 3 cops in Pierce County Wa.

This is on top of another in Auburn Wa he is lynching in another case.

You want a commentary on Auburn cops? It’s the summer of ’69 or ’70. I’m knackered with hayfever – hovering over the vaporizer and watching TV with mom. The phone rings – it’s the desk sgt who says to mom “we’ve arrested your son for shoplifting – we have him in holding”. She turns to stare at me with a puzzled look and says to the sgt “no, you haven’t”. He argues with her and says they’ve arrested me several times before. Again she says “no, you haven’t”. When he starts getting irate with her, she says “sgt, my son is sitting here next to me – we’re watching TV”. He says “um, just a minute mam”. Then asks IF I’d help ID the kid if he was described to me. Mom hands me the phone and says “do what the officer says”. They describe the kid with “stringy blond hair and blue eyes” – the only one in our school and I say “oh that’s Jim …”

Turns out Jim had always used my name whenever the cops caught him. We were friends before, and remained friends after. That was serious crime in Auburn 50+ years ago.

I’m saddened to read about what’s going on there now.
