Ilhan Omar Blames Everyone But Herself For False Gaza Hospital Bombing Tweet

The media/Hamas-pushed story of the IDF allegedly “bombing” a Gaza hospital and “killing at least 500” has completely fallen apart, with the likely culprit for the parking lot blast being a misfired Hamas rocket, and the death toll likely being much lower.

Regardless of those inconvenient facts, members of the Congressional Hamas Caucus, which includes Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), left tweets up on their Twitter pages that uncritically accepted the claims of the Gaza Health Ministry, which were reported uncritically by the Associated Press and other media outlets as well as anti-Israel propagandists in academia:

While Tlaib is still spreading the fake news and, in the process, inciting “ceasefire” insurrectionists to take over the Capitol complex, Omar is attempting to walk hers back, blaming the original tweet on her “office” and the Associated Press rather than take responsibility for what she tweeted:

“Our office cited an AP report yesterday that the IDF had hit a Baptist hospital in Gaza. Since then, the IDF denied responsibility and the US intelligence assessment is that this was not done by Israel.”

In another tweet, she emphasized the need to verify to ensure sources were “credible” so as not to be guilty of sharing “misinformation” that went out “in the fog of war”:

“It is a reminder that information is often unreliable and disputed in the fog of war (especially on Twitter where misinformation is rampant). We all have a responsibility to ensure information we are sharing is from credible sources and to acknowledge as new reports come in.”

And then, showing that, unlike Hamas, she is unwilling to take Israel at their word, Omar went on to call for an “independent investigation” to find out “who is responsible for this” alleged “war crime.”

“It is critical that we have a fully independent investigation to determine conclusively who is responsible for this war crime,” she also wrote.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to be able to figure out that Omar shot herself in the foot here. She’s the one who immediately pounced and seized on unverified (mis)information and propaganda that happened to conveniently make the IDF look like savage war criminals who cared nothing about the loss of innocent lives.

Further, the tweet was up for some 30 hours or so before she posted her follow-up comments, and well after videos and photos had emerged and been dissected and analyzed to show what really happened. And even after all the available evidence confirmed that this wasn’t Israel “bombing” a Gaza hospital, she’s still got the original tweet blaming them up on her page.

And in the last tweet, she wrote on the subject where she called for an independent investigation, note how Omar still refers to the incident as a “war crime.” In other words, she’s trying to pull yet another con. She’s not genuinely interested in an independent investigation because she truly believes Israel was responsible for what happened; she wouldn’t still be calling it a “war crime” otherwise.

“Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel,” Omar wrote in 2012 in a since-deleted tweet. Omar told us who she really was then and she’s still telling us today.

Despite that, here’s how former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) reacted when asked about Tlaib’s and Omar’s tweets:

Former Democratic House speaker Nancy Pelosi told National Review that “the intelligence said that there was no evidence that” Israel was behind the bombing. But when asked if members of the Democratic caucus should delete tweets blaming Israel, Pelosi said: “I don’t know who’s doing what. I really haven’t paid attention to other members.”“I haven’t seen those comments,” Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries told National Review after being informed that Tlaib and Omar had blamed Israel for the bombing.

Last I checked, being a Useful Idiot was not a good look. Clearly, Pelosi and Jeffries disagree.
