Disney’s Diversity Chief Steps Down as Company Struggles With String of Failures

Disney’s chief diversity officer Latondra Newton is leaving the company as they contend with many box office failures and controversies.
It’s not clear whether Newton quit or was fired, but the timing of her departure seems significant.

Disney’s chief diversity officer and senior vice president Latondra Newton is exiting her role after more than six years, according to an internal memo obtained by Variety.
An individual with knowledge of the situation says that Newton will be joining the corporate board of another company soon, and plans to devote more time to her self-owned creative company.
In her role as head of DEI operations at Disney, Newton was charged with overseeing the company’s “commitment to produce entertainment that reflects a global audience and sustains a welcoming and inclusive workplace for everyone.”
Upon her departure, Newton’s direct reports will report to Julie Merges on an interim basis until a new chief diversity officer is named. Shelby Curry and the DEI internal communications team will continue to report to internal communications and engagement exec Carrie Brown.
While they have been waging war with Ron DeSantis, Disney has come under fire for pushing racist lies about America and woke gender nonsense.
And of course, who can forget this gem? In 2022, a Disney producer bragged about pushing a ‘not-secret’ gay agenda:

Disney’s chief diversity officer Latondra Newton is reportedly leaving the company — ending a six-year stint that generated controversies as the Mouse House adopted “woke” policies that have alienated many of its core customers.
Last year, Disney World in Orlando, Fla. grabbed headlines when it did away with its longtime greeting, “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls” from its Magic Kingdom fireworks show to promote inclusivity.
“We want to create that magical moment with our cast members, with our guests,” Newton said at the time. “And we don’t want to just assume because someone might be in, our interpretation, may be presenting as female that they may not want to be ‘princess.’”
On Newton’s watch, Disney also ditched “fairy godmothers” for more inclusive, gender-neutral titles at dress-up boutiques inside its theme parks.
What a legacy she is leaving behind.

The problem isn’t just the grifter woke chief diversity officer, the problem is DEI itself.
The problem is Blackrock and Vanguard and probably a few other funds with their control of shares. They tell the companies to jump and the CEO’s and board ask how high on the way up because they don’t want to lose their funding.
But here is the most insidious part of it… the money they’re using to force these idiotic woke policies does not belong to them. They’ve been entrusted with managing it to maximize the return. They’re violating their fiduciary responsibility and should be sued into oblivion.
I find it difficult to take anyone seriously who repeatedly used “like” and “um” as fillers.

I do not understand this at all. Latondra Newton is at least a 3 times Protected Class; black, anatomically female, and gay. We have spent generations confirming that Protected Classes cannot be held responsible for anything that they do, or fail to do. Yet the implication is that [insert pronouns chosen by Latondra] is leaving Disney because of the failure of he/she/its activities on the job.

To answer your question, black parents. Black parents who think that these ridiculous names gives their child a “real classy” name. Once you create a DEI department for appearance sake, you must staff it. The staff members have to do something. They come up with a laundry list of destructive, insane ideas. Classic Disney films had a moral story embedded in them with references to the truth contained in classic literature and philosophy, psychological metaphors that parents could enjoy along with their children as we both are entertained and learn.
Now Disney turns their back on wholesome family values and promotes propaganda in the furtherance of a political agenda to indoctrinate, groom and recruit children who are highly impressionable and totally defenseless. This is shameful and a complete abandonment of values that made Disney films timeless and culturally valuable
One can take out “Disney” and “films” and substitute “Public Schools” and “education” and have another valid critique of the American Educational System.
Our culture has lost its moral compass and allows predators to prey upon our children in the name of inclusion and diversity. Parents have to assert themselves to put an end to this insanity.
