Alito is getting fed up and is strongly suggesting, that since nobody else will properly defend the court, it is a justified breach of supposed judicial decorum for him to start speaking out. I propose that he name the suspected leaker and see what happens. If that person sues (assuming no immunity exists) a proper investigation will be forced. If that person does not initiate legal action, it will indicate guilt.
Did not someone hereabouts claim that the “protests” before The Supremes’ recent Roe decision were not attempts to influence the court (tho that’s what the “protesters” said), nor threats (tho there were plenty), nor illegal (tho threats and intimidation are), nor outside of “persuasion” (tho about as far from amicus briefs as one can get short of shots fired) nor the DoJ’s job to protect from (tho there’s that pesky wording in that pesky law — darn that Congress.)
Alito’s quotes in this week’s article describe these “protests” as attempting to influence the court outside pleading and proceedings, *and* creating fear of, and increased risk of “assassination.” Maybe if the protesters had worn robes, he’d have thought it more like briefs and pleadings. Black robes, of coruse, to go with the rest of their uniform colors.

“Alito’s quotes in this week’s article”
What are we talking about here? I haven’t seen Alito quoted in this article, any linked article that looks like it would have Alito in it, or in fact anywhere else on LI this week. Where is all the stuff you’re talking about?
