Gunshot Into NC GOP House Candidate Pat Harrigan’s Parent’s House Lands Close to His Sleeping Children

The investigation is ongoing.

The right pours out violent rhetoric leading to mass riots and attacks on Democrats! The GOP will arrest and kill your children.

In the last week:

And now: GOP candidate Pat Harrigan’s sleeping kids nearly struck by bullet blasting through window

How about this, historian Michael Beschloss and Hillary Clinton?

I really hope this has nothing to do with Harrigan. The last thing we need is more political violence.

The shooting occurred on October 18 at North Carolina-14 District GOP candidate Pat Harrigan’s parent’s house as his children slept inside, missing them by a few feet.

From The Carolina Journal:

CJ spoke with Harrigan campaign manager Brandon Craft, who said that someone shot into the Hickory residence and that the investigation has been on-going since that time. Harrigan’s parents currently own and live in the home, but Craft said that Harrigan’s children were in the home when the incident occurred and the shot entered only a few feet from where the children were sleeping.

Hickory Police Department (HPD) responded to the incident and noted the crime was perpetrated with a firearm. Kristen Hart, a spokeswoman for HPD, told CJ that the department does not have any arrests or updates related to the incident as of publication date.

“No one was injured, but the officers investigating did find evidence of a bullet casing which is being looked into,” Hart said.

The FBI is handling the ballistic tests.

Democrat candidate State Sen. Jeff Jackson showed Harrigan’s house, which is near his parent’s house, in a campaign ad, questioning Harrigan’s residency in NC-14.

The House doesn’t require a person to live in their district.

Either way, Jackson showed people where Harrigan lived. He pulled the ads after the shooting.

Jackson’s campaign condemned the shooting: “We fully support law enforcement as they investigate this incident and believe any wrongdoing should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We at Team Jackson pulled our ad in an abundance of caution and concern, but to be clear, the home involved in the incident has never been featured in any of our advertising,” said Tommy Cromie, Campaign Spokesperson.

Jackson at least had sense enough to condemn the shooting and pull the ad.

But in true Marxist fashion, not accept the blame.
He stood in front of his opponent’s house on video.
The terrorists shot into his parents’ house a few homes over (mailbox name, I bet).
Jackson bleats that he’s not to blame because he never featured the house that was actually shot.
Sarah Palin’s campaign placed a 11,000 square mile crosshair over Gabby Giffords’ district and endured a full year of shit over it.

I greatly fear there will be some actual killings of GOP winners after the election. Or, kidnappings of family members or worse.

Shooting into the homes of Republican candidates? Lot of that going around.

First Lee Zeldin. Now Pat Harrigan. In both cases, the bullets landed near their children.

But, as Hochul, and The View see it, concern about crime is overrated…maybe cecause its only Republicans being targetted. How else does the GOP baseball team/Steve Scalise shooting, three attacks on Rand Paul etc end up down the memory hole?

There is no evidence that someone deliberately shot into Zeldin’s house in an effort to target him. It appears to be random gun violence which is bad enough.

The d/prog political class and their media/credentialed class allies have pulled off their happy mask and ended the carefully crafted illusion of altruistic motives. The past six years have amply demonstrated they care about power not people and certainly not our Nation.

Their escalating political rhetoric, framing of issues, choice of imagery and the decades long effort to corrupt our institutions is creating this swell in violence. They are terrified that the populist right will revisit them with same sorts of policies of retribution that they envision, advocate and enforce. That’s one reason they constantly engage in projection of their motives and fears onto us.

Election day is gonna be a huge disappointment for them.

A bullet is at least as lethal than a hammer. And children were in harm’s way.

But if the target is a ‘fascist’…

The leftwing propaganda media deems the story not politically ‘newsworthy’. Nowhere near as ‘important’ as when Pelosi’s husband was hit with a hammer, in his home, after the police arrived, by a homeless crazed drug addict from Canada who spent all of his time hanging out with radical leftists.

Well, I consider the Pelosi story more interesting, too… in the same way that an Agatha Christie story is much more engaging than the plot of “Goodnight, Moon.”

Damn those white supremacists!!

“The FBI is handling the ballistic tests.”

I guess we’ll never know who did it then….

“In my house? In my bedroom where my wife sleeps and my children play?”

Pat’s Democratic opponent featured the Harrigan House in a series of attack ads and literally walked across the front yard in the commercials. This is the best write up I have found on the incident. Local papers would not report the shooting until the national publications picked it up.

I have met Pat and his wife, and they are good people who did not deserve this crap.

I must guiltily admit my first reaction to this news was a hurried Google search for
who played janitor one day at a time
Come on, you have to admit the “family resemblance” is pretty uncanny!

One more for the count of politically-incited extremist violence.

I look forward to Hillary’s denouncement, in 3, 2, 1…

“Hickory Police Department (HPD) responded to the incident and noted the crime was perpetrated with a firearm. ”

That’s some stunning police work right there, folks. What “ballistics tests” are the FBI doing? They found the brass, just read the that little end where the primer go’s in and see if that is the bullet that is shot. You can’t tell if it came from that brass, though just if the caliber matches and if the bullet went through walls then lodged in something else it will most likely be impossible.
