Whistleblowers: FBI Leadership Told Agents ‘You Will Not Look at That Hunter Biden Laptop’

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) told DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz that FBI whistleblowers told him FBI leadership told agents not to look at Hunter Biden’s laptop in the months leading up to the November 2020 election. The agency received the laptop in December 2019.

Johnson wrote:

After the FBI obtained the Hunter Biden laptop from the Wilmington, DE computer shop, these whistleblowers stated that local FBI leadership told employees, “you will not look at that Hunter Biden laptop” and that the FBI is “not going to change the outcome of the election again.” Further, these whistleblowers allege that the FBI did not begin to examine the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop until after the 2020 presidential election—potentially a year after the FBI obtained the laptop in December 2019.

Hunter became a liability when Biden was the frontrunner in the Democratic primary because of his cushy position on the Burisma board when Dad was vice-president. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) then started a probe in August 2019 over the sale of “a sensitive U.S. technology company to the Chinese government and an investment firm run by the sons of Joe Biden and John Kerry.”

Since then, we’ve seen outstanding American citizen Hunter Biden shine in the media in videos with prostitutes while crying to Dad for money to go to drug rehab, shady deals with China, tax fraud, etc.

We learned at the end of July that whistleblowers told Grassley (R-IA) that the FBI attempted to downplay or discredit any negative information about Hunter. The letter mentions “criminal financial and related activity,” but not the laptop. The push by the FBI also happened before the 2020 election:

First, it’s been alleged that the FBI developed information in 2020 about Hunter Biden’s criminal financial and related activity. It is further alleged that in August 2020, FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten opened an assessment which was used by an FBI Headquarters (“FBI HQ”) team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation and caused investigative activity to cease. Base on allegations, verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation. The basis for how the FBI HQ team selected the specific information for inclusion in Auten’s assessment is unknown, but in more than one instance the focus of the FBI HQ team’s attention involved derogatory information about Hunter Biden. accordingly, the allegations provided to my office appear to indicate that there was a scheme in place among certain FBI officials to undermine derogatory information to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation.

Grassley confronted FBI Director Christopher Wray about alleged political bias a few weeks ago.

Grassley said the whistleblower information about the FBI Washington Field Office “is indicative of a deeply rooted political infection that has spread to investigative activity into former President Trump and Hunter Biden.”

Grassley has sent three letters to Wray since the end of May.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said 14 more FBI whistleblowers came forward since the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago.
