Whistleblowers: FBI Leadership Told Agents ‘You Will Not Look at That Hunter Biden Laptop’

“…FBI did not begin to examine the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop until after the 2020 presidential election—potentially a year after the FBI obtained the laptop in December 2019.”

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) told DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz that FBI whistleblowers told him FBI leadership told agents not to look at Hunter Biden’s laptop in the months leading up to the November 2020 election. The agency received the laptop in December 2019.

Johnson wrote:

After the FBI obtained the Hunter Biden laptop from the Wilmington, DE computer shop, these whistleblowers stated that local FBI leadership told employees, “you will not look at that Hunter Biden laptop” and that the FBI is “not going to change the outcome of the election again.” Further, these whistleblowers allege that the FBI did not begin to examine the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop until after the 2020 presidential election—potentially a year after the FBI obtained the laptop in December 2019.

Hunter became a liability when Biden was the frontrunner in the Democratic primary because of his cushy position on the Burisma board when Dad was vice-president. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) then started a probe in August 2019 over the sale of “a sensitive U.S. technology company to the Chinese government and an investment firm run by the sons of Joe Biden and John Kerry.”

Since then, we’ve seen outstanding American citizen Hunter Biden shine in the media in videos with prostitutes while crying to Dad for money to go to drug rehab, shady deals with China, tax fraud, etc.

We learned at the end of July that whistleblowers told Grassley (R-IA) that the FBI attempted to downplay or discredit any negative information about Hunter. The letter mentions “criminal financial and related activity,” but not the laptop. The push by the FBI also happened before the 2020 election:

First, it’s been alleged that the FBI developed information in 2020 about Hunter Biden’s criminal financial and related activity. It is further alleged that in August 2020, FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten opened an assessment which was used by an FBI Headquarters (“FBI HQ”) team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation and caused investigative activity to cease. Base on allegations, verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation.

The basis for how the FBI HQ team selected the specific information for inclusion in Auten’s assessment is unknown, but in more than one instance the focus of the FBI HQ team’s attention involved derogatory information about Hunter Biden. accordingly, the allegations provided to my office appear to indicate that there was a scheme in place among certain FBI officials to undermine derogatory information to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation.

Grassley confronted FBI Director Christopher Wray about alleged political bias a few weeks ago.

Grassley said the whistleblower information about the FBI Washington Field Office “is indicative of a deeply rooted political infection that has spread to investigative activity into former President Trump and Hunter Biden.”

Grassley has sent three letters to Wray since the end of May.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said 14 more FBI whistleblowers came forward since the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago.

FBI delenda est.

By ignoring the laptop they greatly influenced the outcome of the election. Furthermore if the laptop had belonged to a Trump relative and implicated President Trump in wrongdoing would they have shown the same forbearance?

    No.
By we’re “not going to change the outcome of the election again,” they meant, “we can’t expose the criminal Democrat candidates and lose again.”

I want to know who made the decisions for both the Bidens and for Trump, they must be held accountable. Where the Biden Syndicate is concerned, I suspect there is teason.

Oh, good, and it only took 2 years for the fabled ‘good men and women’ of the FBI to FINALLY come forward about it.

The organization is unsalvageable. They’re either corrupt, incompetent, or cowards.

The entire federal government needs to be blown up. I like how basically everything that was prohibited from discussion in 2020 is now freely acknowledged as if the censorship never happened.

Zuckercuck is out saying he censored the laptop at the request of the FBI. That doesn’t shield you from liability, jackass.

Somebody must have leaked something catastrophic that Farcebook is trying to get out ahead of. Sounds like maybe those were the documents Trump had and when they tried to take them he’s going to go full tilt on them.

If Zuckerberg did that at the behest of the FBI he is no longer protected by the 1st Amendment. I’m not sure what legal liability he incurs as a consquence, but I leave that to the more learned members here.

I am sure he sent very sternly worded letters!

Over the years, my tinfoil hat has developed an awesome, otherworldly patina.

My tinfoil hat has worn out and has been replaced numerous times over the years. Each time the tinfoil keeps getting thinner and thinner to where now it looks like I’m wearing a beanie.

Sorry, fat fingered you a downvote while I was trying to upvote your beautiful tinfoil hat comment! Loved it,

All those “intelligence community” names that dismissed the laptop as “Russian disinformation” are not so easily explained away, especially in light of these allegations.

Meanwhile Zuckerberg says Facebook was alerted before the laptop surfaced, of a looming “Russian disinformation” dump.

The talking points had already been hammered out before the news broke.

This isn’t just disbandment territory; this is the next president removes all missions from the FBI territory even if congress won’t defund it territory.

these whistleblowers allege that the FBI did not begin to examine the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop until after the 2020 presidential election

Said whistleblowers may have been told that, but it is almost certainly false. You don’t put out a general order not to examine the laptop unless you know for certain, because you examined the laptop in secret, that allowing knowledge of its contents into general circulation within the FBI would be disastrous for Joe.

The people at the top of the FBI think like lawyers not LE. Remember the maxim “do not ask a question unless you already know the answer”.

Independent council, unlimited budget, rabid staff, media and messaging program … that’s what we do when whistleblowers report directive pecadillos, yes?

What agency most voraciously covets the FBI’s turf? Locate the investigation there. We must get to the bottom of this.
