Trump: America ‘is in a Very Dangerous Position’ and the ‘Temperature has to be Brought Down’

“The people of this country are not going to stand for another scam.”

https://youtu.be/kCY5TkD1pDs

Former President Donald Trump told Fox News Digital that America “is in a very dangerous place” right now, but everyone needs to chill out.

Trump also said “temperature has to be brought down” in regards to the anger brought on by the raid of Mar-a-Lago:

“The country is in a very dangerous position. There is tremendous anger, like I’ve never seen before, over all of the scams, and this new one — years of scams and witch hunts, and now this,” Trump said.

“If there is anything we can do to help, I, and my people, would certainly be willing to do that,” Trump said.

“There has never been a time like this where law enforcement has been used to break into the house of a former president of the United States, and there is tremendous anger in the country — at a level that has never been seen before, other than during very perilous times,” Trump said.

Trump told Fox News that his team “has not heard yet” from the Justice Department on whether they will accept his offer for help.

“I think they would want the same thing — I’ve never seen anything like this,” Trump said. “It is a very dangerous time for our country.”

He added: “I will do whatever I can to help the country.”

Trump mentioned the “fake witch hunts” the left and #NeverTrump have used to try to discredit Trump.

We saw them accuse him of colluding with Russia and causing the January 6 riot. Two impeachment trials:

Trump, reflecting on the “years of fake witch hunts and phony Russia, Russia, Russia schemes and scams,” said that “nothing happens to those people who perpetuate that — nothing happens with them.”

“And then they break into a president’s house — a sneak attack where it was totally — no one ever thought a thing like this would happen,” Trump said.

Now the raid of Mar-a-Lago:

Trump told Fox News that FBI agents “break in and take whatever they want to take.”

Trump said FBI agents told his team on the Mar-a-Lago premises to “turn off the camera” and said “no one can go through the rooms.”

“They could take anything they want, and put anything they want in,” Trump said of the FBI agents. “My people were asked to stand outside.”

For a good reason, Trump mentioned the agents “could have planted anything they wanted.” People think he’s crazy and laugh but can you blame him? The left, MSM, and #NeverTrump people have tried to get rid of him since the 2016 GOP primary:

“People are so angry at what is taking place,” Trump said. “Whatever we can do to help — because the temperature has to be brought down in the country. If it isn’t, terrible things are going to happen.”

He added: “The people of this country are not going to stand for another scam.”

I didn’t believe it when someone somewhere posted that President Trump contacted the DOJ and asked how they could together ring the temperature down and was met with silence

I didn’t believe he would do that

I guess I was wrong

Why wouldn’t you believe he would?

    This is perfect

In tactical terms, Trump just employed a nuke

healthguyfsu in reply to taurus the judge. | August 15, 2022 at 8:28 pm

He did? Remind me which party has more law abiding citizens with more to lose?

It’s not the ones that want more free stuff.

Gosport in reply to healthguyfsu. | August 16, 2022 at 12:13 am

If nothing else he looks like the adult in the room the country so badly needs.

taurus the judge in reply to healthguyfsu. | August 16, 2022 at 7:45 am

        That one of the problems

We have the “raw numbers” but in terms of motivation, activism, energy and all the things that “win” , those “more law abiding citizens” are too busy snoozing to actually accomplish anything while the numerically inferior left mobilizes and stays mission focused in unison.

THATS why they “win” and we “lose”

Plus we are plagued with law abiding defeatists who can so quickly see no path to victory are fail to even consider that they may be winning. “Racist!”, I quit. “Misogynist!”. I quit. “Phobia-phobic phobaphobe!”, I quit, It’s hard to win with people who are so good at predicting how we can’t win and so shouldn’t even try.

Forgive me but it seems tactically well….lets just say I don’t see any good from that strategy either do you think you could explain it to me?

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to Danny. | August 15, 2022 at 8:41 pm

        I’m wondering the same.

I agree with Taurus. He can offer his explanation. My take is that even here at LI we had one of the most vocal Trump backers on their heels with this announcement.

It’s unexpected. It’s also good politics. When has an offer to work together with your political opposition to lower the heat and potential danger for the Nation ever been viewed negatively?

It seized back the initiative from Garland and DoJ. Now they must react to DJT. The follow up, IMO, will be Trump’s request to publish the affidavit. DoJ can oppose it but then Trump says ‘hey fellas, making it public would lower the heat’. When DoJ refuses he can then say ‘I tried to work with them but DoJ arrogantly put partisan politics to frame me ahead of the Nation’.

This is a classic example of getting inside your opponents decision (OODA) loop. It’s a term that comes from the fighter pilot community popularized by John Boyd. He has a good book on the subject.

Boyd’s idea is that humans process information by a series of steps:
Observe, Orient, Decide, Act. So disruption of your opponents loop gives one an advantage. One way is if your opponent expects to see X, then show him X until he is fixated on and committed to acting upon X, then slip Y right past him.

Colonel Travis in reply to The Gentle Grizzly. | August 15, 2022 at 10:19 pm

CommoChief, the problem here is that leftists are committed tyrants. Nothing stops them except force. They must be removed from the game, period. Allowing them to keep playing is stupid. Over the decades, this poor strategy has done nothing but allow them to multiply in numbers so great that the country is possibly past a point of no return.

Trump can be as presidential as he wants. No one on the left cares. They tried to take out Trump before 2016. They tried during his presidency. They tried in 2020 and he lost. Did they stop after 2020? No. They are trying to put him in jail. They are trying to put his allies in jail. They don’t care about public opinion. They don’t care if they lose elections because they know, at a minimum, half this country cheers them on and that they’ll eventually get enough spillover votes from stupid middle-mushers that they’ll be back in office. Or, they simply do what they did in 2020 and and bring in Election Season vs. Election Day and all the nonsense that comes with that. They have too many in the courts sympathetic to The Cause, they have the media and Big Tech to shield any criticism.

I have no idea what this nuke is that Trump set off. His supporters will support him. His detractors will hate him. There is no middle ground with him. None. The left has to be removed from our country. Any less of a goal is pointless.

Commo, the hard left is lost. There is no helping them save a few grams of eco friendly lead.

However the more Democrats be Democrats and actually do all the shit they accuse Trump of doing the more normal lefties get the opportunity to open their eyes to what their party has become.

I think there is hope for a lot of lefties who have had the veil lifted from their eyes to what their party is getting up to.

Read his entire statement. Trump just pinned Garland to the wall. How exactly do you expect Garland to respond? “Okay, I made a mistake. Let’s talk about this.”? No. He is going to ignore it or even double down further infuriating an already irate public. Trump keeps releasing more info while the DOJ clamps down.

          Travis,

I’m fairly certain DJT fully understands the potential stakes, he’s been living it for 7 years.
The other important point is the primary goal here isn’t jailing Trump.

The primary purpose is to damage Trump and reduce his value as a potential candidate in 2024. The secondary goal is reduce his influence in making endorsements and decrease his value in midterm campaign cycle. Jailing DJT is a tertiary goal, IMO.

Trump wants an intact nation for his 2nd term.

taurus the judge in reply to Danny. | August 16, 2022 at 8:03 am

Sure because your question is relevant and quite legitimate.

This is a multi dimension answer.

First, read Chief’s reply so I don’t have to cover that part- its included in my answer by reference. ( as are Phil’s comments)

        With them understood…….

Trump fully sees the WEAKEST link is the conservative voter.

Yes, none of this is designed to influence the left or hard core right- their minds are already made up and nothing is going to change that.

The GOPe/RINO is the key but Trump knows they have their own agenda and hate him as much as the left- but the GOPe/RINO has a exposed underbelly.

That weakness is that they cannot “vote” themselves in power so they are always 1 election away from loss. ( which is why they are the perpetual loser- its safe money)

They got there ( and hard to oppose) because the typical “conservative voter” lacks the “fire in the belly” so few qualified people oppose the GOPe/RINO because of a lack of support ( this “unelectable person the GOPe/RINO always talk about).

Trump is literally “taking it to the streets” (Doobies) and putting it where the common man can see how it will apply to him.

The left didn’t just take over at the ballot box, they took over in breakroom conversations, boardrooms and so forth because nobody “opposed’ them like they did in the 60/70’s.

That’s the fire trump is stoking and the one we best turn into an inferno because 10,000 sheeple will defeat 100 wolves even with a body count.

NOBODY ever won a war because “right was on their side”- they won it because they had the WILL to win it along with the logistics.

The right has the “logistics” but they do need to roll out of bed and stand on a little bit more than just their laurels.

Exactly. This is like in his first year when he offered Congress even more on a border security deal than they were asking for. He was making the point that the Uniparty would not agree to ANY deal, especially one where he makes their base happy. That’s what this is about. Trump has the upper hand here and is forcing the DOJ to agree to be reasonable. This is a slam dunk gimme by the DOJ. They keep painting themselves deeper and deeper into their dark corner.

What is wrong with commenters here? Do they really believe Trump has gone soft? Really? He is pouncing on a major mistake by the DOJ. It’s like being nice to an enraged person who has completely lost their self-control. It just makes them angrier. So how does Trump lose here? He is demonstrating that HE is in control of the conversation.

      I didn’t, either. Whaddaya know?

angrywebmaster in reply to taurus the judge. | August 16, 2022 at 5:03 pm

Was that one that the FBI was looking for? 😉

When the communists back down on their totalitarianism, the temperature can lower.

So they have already made a martyr of Trump and he is now setting up for the DoJ’s next move. Meanwhile, he was in AZ with DeSantis campaigning for Keri Lake and delivering a united MAGA message. Newsweek is saying that this is a signal that DeSantis is working to establish his national presence as he prepares to run against Trump. Yeah, dream on.

This is Trump and DeSantis uniting for the same purpose in a way that will scare the crap out of the corrupt Uniparty. A strong DeSantis is protection for Trump in the opposite way Biden was for Obama and Harris is for Biden. Get rid of Trump and that will make DeSantis more than powerful enough to replace him.

Neither Trump nor DeSantis are idiots. DeSantis continues to maintain that he will not run if Trump does. And Trump is being smart by delaying his decision. The last thing the Uniparty wants is to further martyr Trump by arresting and putting him in the DC gulag with Trump endorsing DeSantis. This would catapult DeSantis into the White House on a tidal wave of very angry voters.

Trump is no longer a one-man army and he is playing it smart.

Dimsdale in reply to Pasadena Phil. | August 15, 2022 at 10:22 pm

The difference between Biden/Harris and DeSantis is that the former are booby traps that go off if Obama or Biden “have an issue.” You get worse than you had. Lose and lose big.

With DeSantis, you get a younger, more politically savvy form of President Trump. Win-Win.

randian in reply to Pasadena Phil. | August 16, 2022 at 3:23 am

This would catapult DeSantis into the White House on a tidal wave of very angry voters

I’d like to think so, but the Democrats are already putting their fortification efforts in place. In addition, I believe that notwithstanding their Supreme Court’s ruling that ballot boxes are illegal and that any election employing them is illegitimate, I have zero faith that Wisconsin’s courts will rule against such tactics if doing so hands their electors to Trump, because they certainly didn’t care in 2020. Few of the other states with obvious ballot irregularities have actually changed their law to stop them, so you can be certain 2020 will be repeated in 2024. It doesn’t matter how angry Trump voters are if they can be nullified in the middle of the night.

Stop embracing losing. You have so lost all hope that you have gone blind? We are not fighting almighty gods. They CAN be defeated. They are in panic mode and are making mistake after mistake. This is NOT the time to back off. When was the “right time” to give Hitler a break?

If we always back off for fear of angering our enemies, then we don’t have any chance of prevailing. You attack when your enemy is weak and flailing. Yes, they are dangerous and can react wildly but they are at their wits end and grasping at anything they can grab to stop going over the cliff. Let’s push them over the cliff! You need to back up and take a look at the bigger picture.

PA mail in system is now like Virginia’s, the same system that couldn’t save McDougall. Philly will be hard pressed to do what they did. If you get the Arizona GOP SoS candidate in office, Maricopa county will be completely brought to heel. Reid’s operation in Nevada weakens each year he is gone and no one else picks up the mantle. Laxalt will do nothing but gain power there. Georgia has taken over running Fulton County elections, though we know Kemp and Trump are not friends. But I think Kemp won’t be so complacent to allow the steal. Michigan I agree with you. Until the GOP legislature grows a pair, Detroit and all their dead will continue to vote D.

But that is 5 of the 6 states involved in the “steal” that have tightened what they do, or have changed politics on the ground. It’s not perfect. But your characterization is not correct.

At least someone is acting presidential.

The fastest and most effective way to bring the temperature down is a mean tweet.

That’s why they don’t want it.

Assuming his usual aim of the mot juste.

People vent their frustrations to thin air while supreme court justices are targets of assassins.
Wow.

The Democrats with bylines are portraying this as Trump making a veiled threat. There’s no satisfying them, is there?

No. They are like the screaming child having a temper tantrum in a store; you can’t mollify the child, so you have to just bail and take him/her out of the store and let them vent.

Except they aren’t children and you can’t take them out of the store. You wear them out. They can’t win as children. They have to be adults and these globalists left themselves little wiggle room. This is happening across the world. Their big master plan is collapsing everywhere. We are gaining the momentum. It’s dangerous but it’s been dangerous from the start. WE are the ones who are waking up here and gaining the upper hand. It’s time for the grown-ups to take control.

Two things:

1. Too late. That ship has left port. That train has left the station. The bonfire is heating up.

2. It’s not your fault. It’s theirs.

E Howard Hunt | August 15, 2022 at 11:35 pm

This case makes perfect sense when viewed in light of the Trump wives’ footwear. In 1994 Chuck Jones pleaded guilty to stealing Marla Maples’s shoes in order to satisfy his foot fetishist lust.

Could it be that the sole reason for the Mar-a-Lago raid was to retrieve some of Melania’s shoes from her closet? In other words is the very nervous and odd Merrick Garland a depraved foot fetishist who unleashed the full force of the F.B.I. in order to satisfy his base, twisted and fashion-fueled desires? Is he abusing her Jimmy Choo summer pumps at this very moment?

believe the colonel shares an accurate assessment–there is no mollifying the progs/leftists–their lust for power / control long ago overcame any rationality they may have possessed–they’ve merely been revealing it publicly / aggressively since 2016–no longer any pretense necessary–there is no one to rein them in / no consequences for their anger / hatred / bigotry / violence–they and all their minions act with impunity–they’ve rejected the constitution, the “social contract” as have existed for better than two centuries

and what are a free people to do when faced with intractable hatred / bigotry / tyranny?–retreat and relinquish their freedom? their way of life? the safety and prosperity of their family and loved ones? i can’t believe that would even be an option–no–as the colonel says, the left has to be removed from our country

The fix is in in Los Angeles:

Gascon recall petition found ‘insufficient’ to qualify for ballot:

https://www.foxnews.com/us/los-angeles-county-da-george-gascon-recall-petition-found-insufficient-qualify-ballot

There were 750k signatures for a 500k requirement.

Yeah, that’s not really sufficient. You need at least double the requirement to be confident of getting through. You should expect at least 25-30% to be invalid.

Still, they came pretty close, and they have a few weeks in which to challenge some of those disqualifications, if they find any that were improperly disqualified.

Yet the national vote was almost Zimbabwean in how perfect the ballots were right? 🤔🤔

Major opportunity to end Hair Gel’s ambitions for being POTUS. He appointed AG Rob Bonta who is responsible for overseeing the performance of his DAs. DeSantis just suspended a rogue Florida Soros DA. DeSantis could be pounding Hair Gel mercilessly with this in his response to Hair Gel’s manic obsession over Florida and Texas. Another major mistake by the Davos globalists is DeSantis takes advantage of it.

Leslie has posted the numbers for why certain signatures were rejected. What the numbers suggest strongly is that the voter rolls need to be cleaned up. The petitions were based on those voter rolls and if they were still including people who died (and there are A LOT of those), moved, etc…, that would be the biggest reason for all of the rejects. The petitioners could also have done a better job of eliminating people who voted multiple times. Start with not sending them further mailers once they have signed. I must have received 5-7 of these mailers. Also, create a master audit list as signatures are collected. An alpha sort would have eliminated this problem.

I’ve done this before myself. If the voter rolls are not purged, the integrity of any kind of balloting is lost. That is almost certainly what keeps happening here. The politicians absolutely refuse to clean them up.

Trump knows very well the DOJ will throw that offer back in his teeth. He looks like the wise one trying to save the country from conflict, the Left looks like the monsters they are. Even if they go along with it, he’s still the one who orchestrated it for the sake of the country, leading the DOJ away from the crisis they precipitated. Either way, they look bad and he looks presidential. For once, he really is playing chess to their checkers.

If Trump is serious about bringing the temperature down he will endorse Nikki Haley for 24. What America needs is some southern charm. Enough
of the in your face brash New Yorker.

“He added: ‘The people of this country are not going to stand for another scam.’”

Not only will the American people NOT stand up and do anything when the next inevitable gambit is played out — half will actively cheer on the lawlessness.

The American people stood by and watched, with some occasional ineffective bitching, as our national elections were stolen in 2020. That was the epitome of the innumerable abuses that have been heaped on the populace over the last six years. And it’s painfully obvious that nothing will be done about it.

Even if — “if” meaning that it will never happen — President Trump or Governor DeSantis is elected and Republicans take over the House and Senate with huge irreversible majorities, the damage to the Republic is fatal. There’s no way that anyone or any institution can repair it, and the improbable changing of the guard will only assure that the attempts to do so will fail, with the population then blaming the repairers for the impossible task of reversing course and restoring the nation for not being able to do so in a short two or four years, returning the destructors to power so that they can finish the job.

Pessimist? No — realist.

“Sorry, Ben — we couldn’t keep it.” And we don’t deserve it.

I do not think they ever want this brought to trial – I do not see a real public indictment.

One – I do think they are playing a bit of defense with the RICO lawsuit that will be heard in Florida. They are trying to damage the evidence so to speak.

Two – they are trying to get Trump on the ballot in 2022 so to speak. They will leak snippets of things, work Twitter and the NYTs and WAPO to drive a narrative – much like the RussiaGate thing.

Both of these things help them, they think, solidify their voting base. They assume that the MAGA base is already extremely motivated so any amping up of that side means nothing in terms of votes.

I think the fallacy in this is that the raid was so poorly executed it doesn’t give them any traction with the independents. And they will be a bit put off by the DOJ’s heavy handedness. We’ve seen Russiagate already. It isn’t going to work again. And as it becomes obvious its not working, the left will become more demoralized. Remember, they have opened up a twitter war amongst themselves on woke culture. They are not in a great place.

It was a hail mary pass with just a second left before halftime. And it probably won’t just be an incomplete pass. It’s probably going to be intercepted and returned for a touchdown. And the danger here is that now Garland and Wray are very exposed.

And of course, if we wish to do so – so is Obama. So they will fight like hornets to make this work. Just remember, the uniparty in DC is more façade than we like to think. They’ve gone to extreme lengths to maintain power. They are waaaay over their skis. It could fall apart very quick, as long as we maintain pressure. Just remember, everything out of Garland’s mouth will be misdirection or complete fabrication.

The walls are closing in all right. On the deep state.
