CNN Cancels Reliable Sources, Host Brian Stelter Leaving Network

CNN Cancels Reliable Sources, Host Brian Stelter Leaving Network

Well…bye.

Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter told NPR that CNN is canceling his Sunday show, and he is leaving the network:

In a statement to NPR, Stelter says he’s grateful for the show and his team’s examination of “the media, truth and the stories that shape our world.”

“It was a rare privilege to lead a weekly show focused on the press at a time when it has never been more consequential,” Stelter said, promising to say more on Sunday’s show — its final episode.

CEO Chris Licht promised to clean house to make the network non-partisan. Mike wrote about the decision while asking, “What else do they have?”

Seriously. Who do they have if they fire the “partisan” talent? Sources told Axios: “If talent cannot adjust to a less partisan tone and strategy, they could be ousted.”

He has pleaded with Republicans to come back to the network with these promises but the lawmakers are skeptical.

Well, we learned that Zoom expert Jeffrey Toobin is leaving after 20 years.

Stelter has been a favorite target among conservative media, but the dude did it to himself. The ironically named show is anything but reliable, and the sources are, well, not reliable.

Who could forget Stelter fawning over Michael Avenatti? LOL. That’s one reliable source! I’m laughing as I write this, by the way.

“And looking ahead to 2020, one reason I’m taking you seriously as a contender is because of your presence on cable news.”

Then Stelter didn’t challenge a guest who claimed former President Donald Trump “may be responsible for many more million deaths” than Mao, Hitlr, and Stalin.

Michael Wolff, who wrote a scathing book on Trump, went off on Stelter during an appearance on Reliable Sources. Wolff is no friend of the right but he even had enough of Stelter and the media:

“I don’t want you to think that what I said at that point was in any way inauthentic,” he continued. “I think the media has done a terrible job on this. I think you yourself — you’re a nice guy, you know, you’re full of sanctimony. You become one of the parts of the problem of the media.”

“You come on here and you have a monopoly on truth, you know exactly how things are supposed to be done. You are why — one of the reasons — people can’t stand the media,” he added.

Stelter laughed and asked what he should do differently.

“Don’t talk so much, listen more,” Wolff responded.

He told Stelter he’s “incredibly repetitive” and even said, “You’re the flip side of Donald Trump. ‘Fake news,’ and you say ‘virtuous news.’”

“No, we just figure out what is real,” Stelter said.

“Figuring out what is real is not so easy. And most people don’t want to turn to Brian Stelter to tell us what’s real. I’m sorry,” Wolff shot back.

No loss there.

Are they planning to start making Seinfeld again?

This is an event that I can’t think of anything amusing to write about. I just want to sit back and relish it for its own beauty.

Next… Lemon and Acosta.

Not necessarily in that order.

    “Next… Lemon and Acosta….”

    Yes.
Also with Camerota and Tapper their level of “talent” goes deep……

“Reliable Sources” is not reliable and neither is a job at CNN.

Toobin and Stelter in the same week

CNN mashes the Tater and yanks the crank on Toobin—all in one week. Enough to put a smile on a lot of faces.

On the same day that LI breaks a story about potato shortages. I can’t believe it,

Off to work for Art Vandelay.

Maybe he’ll show up as a spokesman in an imaginary Liz Cheney administration.

The Twinkie market just reported record lows.

“In further developments, it was learned that Nancy Pelosi is retiring from congress to be host of the new CNN program, Reliable Souses…”

He’ll probably just land a job on CNN…oh, wait.

I predicted this the moment I heard Liz Cheney got flushed.
Make room! Make room!

Oh no, what clown show will I have to switch to for partisan bullschiff?

He can now be the SpokeTater for SlowJoe.

Stelter looks like a hillbilly rapist’s wet dream.

I predict that if he doesn’t get a job elsewhere, the Biden Admin. will hire him to keep the unemployment numbers looking good.
