Pro-Abortion Prof Won’t Say an Unborn Baby has Value, But Thinks the ‘Person With Capacity for Pregnancy has Value’

The prof would not answer Cornyn straight when asked if a baby not yet born has value. The answer is yes, lady. The answer is always YES.

So much is wrong with law professor Khiara Bridges’ exchange with Sen. John Crowley.

Females are not “birth parents.” We are a “person with the capacity for pregnancy.”

Bridges also doesn’t think an unborn human being has any value. But she would not say it out loud. Why is that, Professor Bridges? Is it because you know it’s wrong?

Either way, it’s just as disgusting with how she answers Sen. Cornyn. Disturbing and disgusting:

BRIDGES: “I believe, I trust, I love black people with the capacity for pregnancy. I think they have agency, they have intelligence, they know what is best for themselves and I would love to create the conditions under which they can live lives that are filled with dignity and humanity.”
CORNYN: “And do you think a — do you think a baby that is delivered alive has value?”
BRIDGES: “Yes.”
CORNYN: “Do you think a baby that is not yet born has value?”
BRIDGES: “I believe that a person with a capacity for pregnancy has value. They have intelligence. They have agency. They have dignity.”

Just admit that you don’t think an unborn human being has value. Say it out loud.

Does she have children? Has she ever carried a baby inside her? I do not get how any female who has carried a baby inside of her can deny she had a life inside of her. A life she nurtured and valued while carrying. A life precious and important to her from the moment of conception.

I’m going to puke.

So, unborn female babies have the capacity for pregnancy. Maybe she just wants to abort unborn male babies?

No, they do not have the capacity for pregnancy because that comes only after birthing person puberty. Therefore the only persons who have value are only the ones that have completed birthing person puberty. That, apparently, is her human/not human line.

Which itself seems a touch transphobic, because all of the pre-birthing person to non-birthing person transitions are also dependent on glaring the birthing person puberty process, therefore, they cannot complete the process she has just designated as essential for being a birthing person of value.

So then, abortion until the age of puberty is just fine.

Voyager in reply to henrybowman. | July 12, 2022 at 6:59 pm

Or apparently longer if they are not a birthing person with the capacity for pregnancy afterwards, if that is in fact what gives one value.

And the corollary is that they cease to have that value once they stop being a birthing person with the capacity pregnancy, too.

Does make one wonder what kind of outfit they’re looking to run, though. Doesn’t sound like a terribly nice one…

Law school professors like this are quacks. Fake as the concept of gender.

Infinite value means not that it’s big but that you can’t calculate with it. “Without boundary.” Misinterpreted classical term.

In the particular case, a fetus is valuable to a couple that wants a baby, and not to a woman who doesn’t. It’s not for sale to the highest bidder so there’s no market-clearing price to fall back on either. It’s just whatever value it has to the parents.

Black women “have agency.” What the fuck does this mean?

Milhouse in reply to Geologist. | July 12, 2022 at 6:29 pm

Agency means the capacity to choose what to do.

Geologist in reply to Milhouse. | July 12, 2022 at 8:37 pm

Thanks, Milhouse. This is not the definition of “agency” I was taught, which had to do with the relationship between an agent and his/her/its principal.

“The capacity to choose what to do” sounds like “competence.”

Milhouse in reply to Geologist. | July 13, 2022 at 12:16 am

No, competence is the capacity to choose well. Agency is simply the capacity to choose at all. A robot has no agency; it does what it’s programmed to do. In comics, a person under hypnosis has no agency; he does what he’s told to do (in real life hypnosis doesn’t really work like that).

Gosport in reply to Geologist. | July 13, 2022 at 12:34 pm

In sociology, agency is defined as the capacity of an individual to actively and independently choose and to affect change; free will or self-determination.

Agency law on the other hand deals with agent-principal relationship, a relationship where one party has the legal authority to act in place of another.

So, it seems that what she said is either that black women can do whatever they choose, or that they can act as their baby’s agent when they decide to abort them.

God will not be kind to this one

It’s not as if they weren’t before, but their arguments are too stupid dignify anymore.

Do you think that this professor has any children?

henrybowman | July 12, 2022 at 6:00 pm

“UC Berkeley law professor Khiara M. Bridges, author of “Critical Race Theory: A Primer…”
Surprise!

What do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 100?

‘Your Honor’.

What do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 75?

‘Professor’.

What do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 50?

‘Senator’.

Her video clip was on Bad Blue, still looking for the first male human to give birth and someone could put up a good cash reward for him to be found.
Someone’s mental change isn’t going to make it biological possibility.

Camperfixer | July 12, 2022 at 6:52 pm

Mentally ill that one. So drunk on her own twisted Kool-Aid she can’t get off script. Evil is what evil does. Now, imagine her class churning out more brainwashed robots.

“A person with the capacity for pregnancy has value.”

Yeah, the prisons are full of ’em.

But stay away from nursing homes. No valuable persons there.

If nothing else, she has thst bored, world-weary look perfected.

She is clearly governed exclusively by ideology. Not a good “fact” witness.

had to have two nose rings as well

BLACK LIVES MATTER…except for your black life little black unborn baby.

I am embarrassed for Crowley and Cornyn for even engaging with this person. I would have simply dismissed her after the first idiotic thing she said. To entertain her delusions and give her the platform to spew nonsense tells me a lot about the Senators.
