Crime in multiple Democrat-run cities is completely out of control and it's not just smash-and-grab robberies by organized flash mobs. Murder is up in many cities in record-breaking numbers. One other thing many of these cities have in common is progressive district attorneys who were elected with backing from George Soros.

Welcome to our coverage of the Kim Potter manslaughter trial over the April 11, 2021, shooting death of Duante Wright in a suburb of Minneapolis, when then-police officer Potter accidentally used her Glock 17 pistol in place of her intended Taser. Today was the second day of the trial proper, and remarkably enough the State decided to spend nearly the entirety of the day focused not on the circumstances of Kim Potter’s unintentional shooting of Daunte Wright, but rather on the car accident that resulted from Wright’s violent and high-speed flight from the traffic stop where he’d just violently fought lawful arrest.

A psychiatrist named Sally Satel, who used to be part of the faculty at Yale, gave a guest lecture at the school in January on the opioid crisis with a focus on a town in Ohio. Shortly afterwards, a letter was sent to the department chair from “Concerned Yale Psychiatry Residents” which claimed her lecture was 'traumatizing' and accusing Satel of being a racist.

A store named after the humorous anti-Biden slogan 'Let's Go Brandon' has opened in the Massachusetts town of North Attleboro, selling hats, t-shirts and other products branded with the phrase. The presence of such a business in a blue state like MA is a direct reflection of Biden's crashing poll numbers.

Today was the first day of the trial proper, with both sides presenting the jury with their opening statements, and the State beginning to present its case in chief and witnesses.
